Wake Up for You: Sad, Angry, and Disappointed

“KRIIIIING”

The sound of the alarm clock beeped that's lenting.

I was immediately shocked, and suddenly woke up from my sleep, the sound of my breathing gasping, sweat pouring down my forehead and neck.

I tried to look around, looking for my mother, but I was surprised to see Aldi sitting by himself beside me.

“Hemm...hey Hana, good night.” Aldi said with a smile.

“Aldiii?” My speech.

Aldi just kept holding back his smile.

“Why are you here?”

“E...eh...be....begini.” Aldi stammered.

“My book where??” I asked Aldi.

“E....eh..di..dia...” Aldi stuttered again.

Aldi scratched his head, he looked nervous, he seemed like he wanted to say something, but the words were stuck in his mouth.

Suddenly my mother and the doctor walked into my room.

“Hana, you've woken up nak.” Said my mother who came straight to me, then hugged me tightly.

It felt like his embrace was so warm, a hug that calmed me so much, which I missed.

Mom slowly let go of her embrace, “How do you feel??” Say it with teary eyes.

“Alhamdulillah ma'am, Hana is fine.” Answer smiled.

Seeing my mother's teary eyes, which slowly shed tears, moved me, and made me shed tears as well.

The doctor and Aldi just kept silent to look at us, seeing a mother and child who let go of each other's longings.

I don't know why she looked so sad, what happened, if maybe I fell asleep long enough to make my mom worry. Ask me in my heart.

“Mother why?? Mom don't cry, Hana's fine – alright bu.” I said, trying to calm my mother's feelings.

“Mothers are just afraid Hana is left alone mother,” Mother said as she stroked my hair.

Mother's tears drip back on my bed blanket, I hug her again. “Engga’ mom, quiet Hana is fine, Hana will not leave mom alone,”.

I let go of mother's embrace, then slowly wiped away the tears on her cheeks.

My mother smiled to see me.

“Hana sleep how long bu??” I asked my mother.

“You slept one week son, it's Sunday,” replied my mother.

“One week??” I was surprised to hear it.

What I've been through all this time, life is getting shorter, without being able to enjoy a little bit of my words in my heart.

“Iya, but all that is no longer important son, the important thing now Hana can do what Hana likes,” Continue mother.

“I'm sorry ma'am, looks like it's not a good thing for Hana,” Cut the doctor.

The same doctor, who was in this room a week ago, brought bad news for me and my mother. He still looks bald, with the sign on his doctor's coat, saying Doctor Irfan.

“I suggest that the deck Hana for now does not come out of the house, in order to avoid the risk of accidents to Hana, given the conditions and abnormalities that the current deck Hana, we can't know when this hypersomnia reappears.” Doctor Irfan said.

Mom then turned to look at Doctor Irfan, “OK doc I understand.” Mom nodded.

“Hana gapapa bu, Hana understands, from now on Hana will not be out of the house, until Hana's condition improves.” I said while looking at my mother.

Mom smiled back at me.

“I have prepared several drugs on the table that can help Hana in relieving the conditions she faces,” Sahut Doctor Irfan.

“Iya thank you doctor,” Reply mom.

“Then I say yes bu,” Continue Doctor Irfan.

Doctor Irfan then walked out of my room.

Suddenly she turned to look at Aldi who was sitting on the right side of my bed.

“Aldi, Intan and Angga where are you??” Ask Aldi.

“Hemmm...tadi said they want to go out for a while ma'am, I don't know where.” Answer Aldi.

Hearing the names of Intan and Angga, made me remember an incident I last experienced, at the cafe that night. It made me sad, disappointed, and angry with both of them.

Moments later, Intan and Angga quickly walked into my room with a box pack of my favorite donut cake.

“Hanaa...” Intan said as she walked up to me.

He then hugged me, while Angga stood beside my bed.

“Oke, then mom down first yes, mom wants to finish mother's cooking.” My mother said as she walked out of the room.

“Iya bu,” reply.

When the mother came out, the atmosphere became silent.

Intan then let go of his embrace, fixed the position of his glasses, then smiled at me. “Hana are you okay??” Ask Intan.

I just sighed, trying not to return her smile and gaze.

“Hanaaa, are you angry??” Ask Intan back.

I again did not want to answer the question, a silly question from a man who was willing to hurt his own best friend.

“Hanaa darling, you're fine right??” Angga said while touching my shoulder.

Hearing the nonsense words that came out from Angga's mouth, making my heart pound, my breath became breathless, making me angry.

I then turned my head, looking intently at Angga's eyes, with a deep sense of anger and quite a lot of pity.

“Do not touch me.” I said in a high tone.

Angga pulled his hand. “Why you baby??” Angga.

“Quite, you never call me dear again.” I said with teary eyes.

“Hana, try to calm down first.” Intan tried to calm me down.

Listening to Intan's words made them even more angry, pale by looking at their faces, faces that tried to hide their mistakes.

“Quiet?? I can't calm Intan, look at you and Angga that night,” I explained to Intan in a high tone.

I looked into Intan's eyes, but Intan just lowered his head, and cleared his breath. The man was also silent.

The atmosphere became quiet again.

My chest was getting claustrophobic, wanting to let out all the feelings I was feeling right now, sad, angry and disappointed. However, I tried to hold all that, trying to look strong in front of them, that without them I could survive.

Feeling bad about the situation, Aldi tried to walk out of my room. “EEh, it looks like I better get out yaa,” He said in a soft voice.

“Iya, you better get out of here.” Angga said with a high tone and an annoyed expression looking at Aldi.

“Aldi you do not come out, let them come out.” I said while staring at Angga.

“Hanaaa, please listen to my explanation first...” Angga tried to defend himself.

“Nothing to explain, you're a jerk, I don't want to see your face back.” I told Angga.

Angga just kept quiet, and then rushed out of my room.

There was a sound of crying from Intan, she opened her glasses, her tears started to drip on my blanket. “I'm sorry Hana, I was the worst friend, I hurt your feelings.” Intan said, as she shed her tears looking at me.

Seeing Intan cry in front of me, made me very sad. I tried to turn my face away from seeing her, and withstood all the sadness I felt, but eventually these tears slowly came out, and flowed from my cheeks.

Intan's cries kept sounding, I didn't want to see her face, I hated to do this, however, she also had to feel the heartache I felt.

Intan then slowly got out of my bed, then walked out of my room, along with Angga.

After they came out, my tears kept flowing, my sadness deepened. Sometimes I try to wipe away the tears that run down my face, but those tears come back out and keep flowing.

Aldi suddenly thrusts me a tissue with a smile.
