Time Master's

Time Master's
Ch. 8: One Long Hour

After school Deva invites Genta to eat meatballs at his subscription place. He wants to treat Genta to celebrate his freedom from repeated imprisonment for many years. They went together on Deva motorcycles.

"Tumben-tumbenan lu ngajak cave eating meatballs, what's wrong?"

"Ah, nothing, just kepengen eat meatballs, but males go alone, haha"

Deva couldn't possibly tell the true reason of the treaty this time around. Deva knew Genta would take her crazy if she told her the nonsense.

Upon arrival at the meatball stall Deva chatted with Genta. For several months Deva had not interacted with anyone else. He prefers to live a life of no life during repetition. He hasn't been to school for almost a year. Not without reason. During the repetition period that must be faced in school is a killer teacher and a boring exam.

The first and second lesson hours are Physics lessons with a fierce and irritable face teacher. While the third and fourth lesson hours there is a math test that all the problems have even been memorized by Deva so often he repeated the test. Moreover, that morning the weather was not friendly for him to go to school. All these reasons are enough to make Deva lazy to move her legs to school.

If Deva was stuck in a repetition time where there are sports lessons and empty hours, of course Deva would not be as lazy as going to school.

After the meatballs they ate ran out, Genta began to busy himself with his cell phone. Deva could then only daydream while staring at the highway, it had been a long time since she had seen such a crowd. Deva could only hope that he would not be stuck again in the world of repetition like before.

"Well, what do you want? yuk mabar!"

"Hmm? ah, the cave phone is missing"

"oh, yaudah, go home yuk! mabar in their homes"

"okay!"

After paying the meatballs, Deva and Genta prepare to go home. In front of the meatball stall Deva muttered,

"Wow, the cave's gasoline is about to run out"

"Hmm? guess it can still be used to go home?"

"I don't think it should be filled first"

"Well, you filled it first at the gas station near the intersection of four there. Yaudah, we'll get some retail gasoline on the road"

"haha, yamaap, later lu-"

"Tumben-tumbenan lu ngajak cave eating meatballs, what's wrong?"

Deva gasped in shock, arriving now he was in a position to ride a motorcycle on the highway. Whereas a moment ago he was chatting with Genta in front of a meatball stall. Out of shock Deva almost hit the pedestrian in front of the red light.

"Lu gilak ya! the red light is breaking, you almost hit people through noh!"

Genta scolded Deva who was still staring at the crossroads. Fortunately Deva was not speeding and immediately braked. Pedestrians who were still shocked earlier returned to cross the zebra cross while cursing.

Deva cursed in heart. He then checked his bag and found a totem inside.

'This fucking totem again!'

"Sorry, the cave was dreamy"

Deva continued the journey. Arriving at the Deva stall could not calm down. He was still digesting what happened and how it could happen.

"Lu why bengong aja from earlier? your meatballs are cold!"

"No, just a lot more thoughts"

Genta then continued eating while playing HP. Then after seeing Deva who had always checked her watch, Genta then invited Deva home. Deva's grly behavior while continuing to glance at her watch makes Genta think Deva wants to go home soon.

As she was about to pay for her meal, Deva's gaze began to tremble. Deva quickly checks her watch, which shows it at 16:05. A moment later Deva returned to the highway while riding a motorcycle.

"Tumben-tumbenan lu ngajak cave eating meatballs, what's wrong?"

"For the pengen aja"

Deva replied with a genuine origin. Then Deva stopped properly at the red light, then looked at her watch, at 15:00.

This repetition lasted for an hour. Deva's head began to hurt as he imagined he would have to undergo the same hour for a few more years as before.

For an hour this is just deva spent in the street and meatball stalls. Deva only brought enough money to eat two servings of meatballs. The fuel is also a little. Deva also did not bring her phone. It is certain that this repetition will be very boring.

If only Deva had brought more money, he could have used the money to buy every item he wanted on the road. And if the fuel is full, Deva can certainly walk anywhere in an hour. Deva can buy something new and explore various places in each repetition. And if Deva doesn't forget to bring her phone, she might be able to reduce saturation during repetition by playing HP.

But all that is just 'if'. The truth is the opposite. Just thinking about it had already given Deva a headache. Deva could not guarantee his sanity later on.

Deva must accept the harsh reality that she will live the longest hour of her life.

**Sorry because it had a hiatus (when the chapter is just a little, wkwkwk)

I went on hiatus because I realized my next story idea/concept would be very similar to the Boku Dake ga Inai Machi anime. So I was confused how to proceed. And also previously I was preoccupied with task tasks.

For the next it looks like I will update more often because I have a lot of free time in the middle of this corona pandemic.

Thank you for reading:v**
