Time Master's

Time Master's
Ch. 7: Mission

Deva who had just woken up from the previous repetition kept hearing a strange sound buzzing in her head. Deva was worried that she was going crazy.

It's 9pm less now. The voice told Deva to wake her friend. But who? Andwhy?

Deva then decides to go to the house of her closest friend, Genta. Previously, Deva was quite often staying at Genta's house, both to do chores together and to just play until late at night. But during the repetition Deva had never stopped by his best friend's house because of several factors, such as because it was raining heavily and tomorrow there was also a test. It would be strange if Deva arrived to stay at Genta's house.

After a few minutes of heavy rain Deva finally reached the house of Genta. The voice was still whispering in Deva's head. Deva hurriedly knocked on Genta's door. But the door was not opened. The house looked uninhabited.

Then Deva walked to the side of the house. Genta's room window was glowing, the sign of his room light was still on. Deva tapped on the window, but the sound of rain seemed to dampen Deva's knocking.

Deva's patience is over. When Deva intended to break the window glass with a large enough stone arrived the window curtain opened wide, revealing a drowsy face Genta with reddened eyes. He looks like he just woke up.

"Deva! Why are you outside?"

"Finally! Open the door first! It's cold outside."

Genta opened the door of his house. After Genta woke up Deva no longer heard any strange sounds in his head.

"Why don't you come here at night?"

The clapper whose eyes were still half open asked Deva.

"Ah, that's, anu, hmm, just a passing coincidence. Oh yeah, you're home alone, right? Where are your parents?"

Deva who has trouble finding excuses tries to distract.

"Old man cave outside the city. Should have come back by now. But due to bad weather the plane had to delay."

Deva nodded. He was actually confused why the weather forecast for tomorrow did not warn of rain? Though tonight it rained so hard, and quite doubtful tomorrow's weather will be different.

"God! Cave forgets belom learn. Good thing you woke up in the cave."

Genta thanks Deva for waking him up. Genta had just finished eating when he began to fall asleep lulled by the rain.

After feeling free from the sound of whispers, Deva then intends to go home. Genta does not try to stop him, because if Deva is there Genta will not focus on learning and will be tempted to play games together.

Until one morning on that day, Deva's phone rang. Deva frowned because she had never received a call after several years. Deva's forehead shrinks when she sees the name of the person who called her, Windi.

"Hello, Windi. What's up?"

"Deva! You where? Why not come in? Genta said you were raining rain to his house, don't you get sick?"

Deva smiled happily, Windi cared so much for him.

"Ah, no. I'm just lazy again. There will be another repetition. Watching a Korean drama"

"What's? What are you talking about? You missed a math exam just because you wanted to watch a Korean drama?"

"Missing a math test?"

Deva then glanced at his working clock. How surprised he saw the clock's long hand pointing at the number 3, now it's 10:15!

The startled Deva spontaneously dropped her HP, ignoring Windi who was now continuously calling out her name.

'What's going on? I'm not going back to 10:10! Is time back on as it was?'

Deva made sure the clock wasn't broken. All clocks are pointing at the same time. For almost half an hour nothing happened. Now Deva is convinced she has been released from the prison of repetition. Although his mysterious totem still exists.

Deva then prepares to go to school even though she is really late.

The sky was so bright and the sun was shining. A sight he had not seen for years. The weather was very sunny, as if it would rain a few hours just now was just a dream. At least that's what Deva was feeling, she had just woken up from a nightmare all those years.

Upon arrival at the school Deva immediately hugged Genta while laughing, making the whole class feel disgusted. Fortunately there were no teachers at that time because of the free-class, otherwise the two of them would have already been taken to the BK room.

The reason Deva hugged Genta was because she believed it was Genta who caused her to come out of repetition, because the different thing Deva did in her last repetition was to go to Genta's house. There is no way that Korean drama takes it out of repetition, right?

After getting an uppercut blow from the clapper for hugging her for too long, Deva then comes to Windi. Deva thanked him and apologized for being weird on the phone earlier, accompanied by some plausible reasons of course.

That day Deva felt very happy, but it did not last long.
