Ch. 9: Out of Repetition

Deva began to think of a way that she could escape the repetition of time like before. Deva knows the main cause of this repetition is the mysterious totem she gets from a foreign man before the repetition occurs. But Deva thinks there must be something that triggers the Totem so that repetition occurs. The Deva recalls the equation of the repetition this time with the previous repetition was occurring while Deva was chatting with Genta.

"Whose rock is it? Seriously, you see it"

Genta asked Deva who was busy looking at Totem in her hand. As usual, the totem always carries itself inside the Deva bag.

"It has a cave."

Seeing Deva who seemed not to want to be bothered Genta again coolly ate the meatballs.

Deva then thought of a different thing he did during the last repetition, which may have caused him to come out of years of repetition, which was to go to Genta's house. Deva did that because there was a strange buzzing sound in her head. The voice told him to 'carry out a mission' or something. Then he told her to go to Genta's house.

Indirectly it means the mission in question is to go to the house of Genta.

Deva then remembered one thing. Before all that repetition happened Genta said something, which was about regret falling asleep the night before the test. Repetition stopped when Deva woke Genta the night before the test. Could these two be related?

If the two are related, then the way to get out of the repetition this time is to do something that Genta talks about before the repetition occurs.

Deva remembered before the repetition this time Genta complained that Deva should fill up the gasoline on the trip earlier. Then the most likely to be able to get out of this repetition is by filling the gasoline. It doesn't make sense, but it's worth a try.

A few minutes later, Deva returned to repeating the time. This time after passing the Deva junction stop first at the gas station and fill up enough gasoline.

Time passed too. Deva hopes the way he does it works. Until after 16:05 nothing happened. Deva did not go back to repeating time. Time has gone on normally. Deva was really happy because the repetition this time only happened a dozen times, unlike the previous repetition.

"Go home yuk!"

Genta reprimanded Deva who was laughing out loud while looking at her watch.

"Ah, yes, maap. Anu, your transaction money for the contents of the gasoline earlier. Gua pake your money first can? later cave pay, hehe"

After eating meatballs Deva drove Genta to his house. But Deva is shocked by the existence of someone he has long sought, a stranger who gave him Totem!

The stranger was waiting for a taxi not far from Genta's house. Deva immediately approached the stranger.

Deva took out the intended Totem from inside her bag.

"Well, so that's it. I get it now. Then you're the next Totem holder?"

"Totem Holders?"

Deva then took the stranger to her house.

"Alright, in short, my name is Thomas. I'm gonna tell you something crazy. And maybe I was crazy enough to not explain anything when I gave you this Totem. I am confused where to explain it from"

Deva who was impatient started to ask. The man before him now was the source of all the trouble he had as a result of this final repetition of time"

"alright. The thing you call agate is called Time Totem. There are 100 kinds of Totem scattered in this world, and Time Totem is one of them. The user of the Totem is called the Totem Master. Since you used Time Totem then you are a Time Master."

Deva frowned. The explanation of the stranger in front of him sounded like the opening of a fantasy novel.

"I used to be a Time Master like you. But now that title is yours because the Totem has chosen you."

"Time Master? I don't need that title! I don't want this totem to choose me. This stone has brought bad luck in my life!. I've been caught twice in time repetition! The first even goes up to a few years with thousands of repetitions!"

"Hahaha, only twice and only a few years? You don't know what's going to stop you!"

The man named Thomas laughed loudly. Deva who was furious became silent, said Thomas implying that the misfortune he had experienced was still nothing compared to what he had to face in the future.

"Sounds good. The repetition you experience is called a time loop. You will be confined in continuous repetition until a condition is met. The way to get out of that repetition is to fulfill a condition. Since you've already experienced two repetitions it seems like you already know what it means to fulfill those conditions, right?"

"Actually I don't yet know exactly how to get out of repetition. I'm just guessing nebak"

"Well then, I'll explain in more detail"
