The Young Master's Substitute
Village girl

Arriving at the room, Fabian threw his body on his bed. He was really tired today. Fabian then lay on top of the king-size bed.

"So, where are you really, baby." Fabian looked at the ceiling of the room. She still thinks of her lover who mysteriously disappeared during her wedding reception.

Tok to tok.

The knock on Fabian's room door suddenly sounded.

"Who?" ask Fabian.

"I'm Syanum, young master."

Fabian stood up. He then stepped in to open the door for Syanum.

"Syanum. Why are you here?" ask Fabian ketus.

"I just want to." said Syanum hanging as he looked at Fabian's face.

It was not because Syanum was fascinated by the man. But since she wasn't feeling well on her own, getting a look of resentment from her own husband.

"Lady just got home?" ask Syanum.

"No need to talk much about Syanum. What do you want to come here? I'm so tired of Syanum."

"Young master, do you want to eat or drink? let me get it ready."

Fabian glared at Syanum.

"Who told you to come here heh...!" said Fabian in a high tone.

Syanum was shocked when Fabian snapped at him. Syanum's intentions are actually good. She wanted to serve her husband. But Fabian instead snapped at him to the point of giving Syanum a fright.

"Em.I came here just to ask. Young master from anywhere? this morning, Mr. Damar was looking for Mister."

"Syanum. Where do I want to go, that's my business, Syanum. It has nothing to do with you. So don't you ever take care of my personal problems."

"But Sir. Now I'm your wife. I'm just worried, if you leave without saying goodbye."

"Syanum. You are my wife. But I never loved you Syanum. So, never expect more from me. Because you're just a country girl, you deserve to be my wife. And whenever, don't expect, I'll love you."

Syanum was really sad to hear her husband's words. He had expected that Mr. Fabian would be rude to him.

Syanum actually wanted to cry. But she did not want to be considered bod*h by her husband. Syanum tried to always be strong in the face of her husband's cold attitude.

The roar of the car was heard from the front of Mr. Damar's house. After work, Mr. Damar parked his car in his garage. He hurriedly got out of the car and stepped inside his house.

"It's Pa's home, here's mommy bring papa's bag." Ms. Reva had already welcomed her husband kindly. She also brought her husband's bag.

"Fabian's home yet?" ask Mr. Damar.

"Already Pa. He's in his room now."

"What time is he home?"

"Just Pa."

Mr. Damar stopped his steps after arriving in the living room. He then threw his body on the sofa.

Mr. Damar opened his tie. After that he looked at his wife.

"Ma, can you call me Fabian?" ask Mr. Damar.

Bu Reva nodded. Without taking long, he immediately stepped away to call his son who was still in the room.

Tok tok...

Miss Reva knocked on Fabian's room door.

"What else is Syanum...!" Fabian opened the door lazily. He thought, Syanum again knocked on the door of his room.

"Fabees. It's mama. Not Syanum" said Bu Reva.

"Mama. What's up?" ask Fabian.

"Yes Ma."

Fabian stepped towards the middle room. Once there, he sat down by his father's side.

"What's the matter Pa?" ask Fabian.

Mr. Damar stared fixedly at his son.

"Where were you last night?" ask Mr. Damar.

"Em, last night I..." Fabian hung up his words.

"Fabian from his friend Pa's house. Last night he stayed there," said Bu Reva.

Ms. Reva then mingled sitting with her son and husband.

Bu Reva wants to save Fabian from Mr. Damar's anger. Because Bu Reva knew that if Fabian was honest, Mr. Damar would be furious with Fabian.

"Want? where's the nginap?" Mr. Damar stared fixedly at his son.

"The night I stayed at Farel Pa's house" Fabian lied.

"Why are you staying at Farel's house heh...!" said Mr. Damar with a high tone.

"It usually does, too" Fabian said.

"You have a wife now. You can't leave your wife often."

"But Pa, I don't like Syanum. And I never wanted this marriage to happen Pa. I don't love Syanum."

"Fabees. You are married to Syanum. You should have learned to love her."

"But Pa, I don't love Syanum. Don't force me to love him Pa."

"Papa, it's Pa. Don't force Fabian. Fabian's still tired Pa. Papa must be patient. All of this requires a Pa process. Moreover, Syanum and Fabian just know each other," said Bu Reva.

Mr. Damar is just a beard.

"alright. Papa won't make you Fabian. But you have to promise me papa. Never leave Syanum. Now she's your wife. And it's your duty, to look after him and give him a living."

"Yes Pa. I understand."

"Oh yes Fabian. Now that you have a wife, papa wants to start tomorrow, you work in papa's office."

"Work?"

"Yes." Yeah."

Miss Reva smiled.

"Fabees. True what your papa said. It's time you replaced your papa at the office. Because your father is getting older. And you must be the successor of your papa business. You have to replace your papa to take care of the company."

"Yes I know. I'm so tired Pa, Ma. I'm going to go to the room first."

Without warning, Fabian then stepped away leaving the living room. He then stepped into his room.

"Pa, if for Fabian and Syanum's wedding, you better not interfere too much with their affairs. Just leave them. Mama is sure, one day Fabian really want to accept Syanum as his wife. But it all takes a Pa process. If you keep forcing and restraining Fabian, mama is afraid Fabian will even volunteer and he can leave this house. Mama didn't want it, it happened."

Mr. Damar stared intently at his wife.

"Get out of the house?"

"Yes. It might be. So don't force Fabian too much."

"Yes. It is true what my mother said. I can't force it too much. I know, Fabian's a stubborn kid. Yes already. Papa go to the room first Ma. Papa is tired too. Take a break."

Bu Reva just nodded. Meanwhile, Mr. Damar stood up. He then stepped into his room.

Mr. Damar opened the door to his room. After that, he went into his room. Mr. Damar stared out the window.

"Hopefully, someday, Fabian could accept Syanum as his wife. I always hoped that their marriage would last until my grandparents. And there will never be a divorce between them."
