Two years later.
The clattering sound of a bell mounted above the door rang out, a not-so-high-bodied woman with well-tied brown hair seemed to step inside. The clothes attached to his body are so fitting that it shows a very beautiful body shape, like a violin complete with every curve created.
The woman watched the room through, feeling strange because the place was quiet like never before. He walked to one of the doors at the end of the room, to the surprise of the woman who heard the screams from inside.
“Happy birthday!” Several girls and men, clapping their hands, greeted the woman. One of them seemed to be carrying a medium-sized cake, all of them smiling towards the woman who had just entered.
Chloe Jovanika Light, a girl who two years ago suffered a slump and lost her honor, is now a graceful woman who is so admired by her employees. No one knows how the woman faced years after the incident, which Chloe Jovanika Light obviously left from the country that became her birthplace, she said, then living in a small town to erase all the bitter memories of her life, removing the name her parents gave her, from Chloe to just be Jova.
Jova now owns a beauty salon, started her business since one year ago and has now grown rapidly because the services and results of work in the salon are very satisfying. Many women and men who come there, starting from the middle down and up, all are well served.
Now Jova stared one by one his employees, not expecting if they would give a surprise for him on a day that actually did not want to be remembered.
“I told you not to surprise, why are you doing it, hm? Don't you guys work by leaving the front desk empty?” jova asked as she pointed out, speaking carefully and softly despite feeling her chest tight considering her birthday.
“We just want to celebrate your special day, Miss.” One of the employees tried to explain.
“Truely, today also even one year we are here working with you, is Miss angry we did this?” ask one of the female employees who was holding the cake.
Jova looked at the employees one by one, and then sighed harshly, before looking at one of the men standing behind the employees. Jova looked at the man, seemingly knowing who was the culprit of the surprise event.
The man standing at the very back smiled, before then raising his shoulders as if he knew Jova was throwing a question at him. ‘Why let them make a surprise.’
The employees of Jova lowered their heads, as if afraid if Jova was angry with them.
“Alright, only this time you can celebrate. After this, please do not do it again,” said Jova who did not have the heart to see his employees sad.
Jova was forced to blow to please her employees, however they also tried to make a small surprise for her. As soon as the candle flame went out, everyone clapped and shouted loudly. They asked Jova to cut the cake, before dividing it and eating it.
Joya smiled at the behavior of her employees who were like children, then walked closer to the man who had been standing at the very interior of the room.
“You are satisfied to successfully provoke them to hold a surprise, hm?” jova asked as she looked at the man's face.
The man grabbed Jova by the waist, before landing a kiss on the woman's lips.
“Happy birthday, dear,” said the man later.
“Edmund! I told you not to kiss carelessly and don't say that sentence!” jova protested, then glanced at her employees who were engrossed in enjoying the cake.
Edmund Fergie is the man Jova lived for two years, the man who knows best how the woman struggled to survive until now.
“Why?” edmund asked as if he was teasing Jova.
Jova then hit the man's arm. “For a kiss I can forgive, but that remark, you know why I don't want to hear it,” Jova explained.
Edmund stared at Jova's two eyes, seeing that the trauma was still lingering when the woman's birthday arrived.
“Sorry, I think you've forgotten it after two years,” Edmund said regretfully.
Jova smiled bitterly, before then shaking her head slowly in response to Edmund's remark. “That thought will never be forgotten, Edmund. Never will.”
