“You said it will come after two days, it's only a day,” said Jova ventured to speak, although her heart continued to beat rapidly.
Jova was forced to let Morgan in because she did not want any problems there.
Morgan did not immediately reply to Jova's remarks, choosing to sip the coffee that had been served Helen.
Jova is still waiting with anxiety, even more fear if Morgan discusses Sean. They sat on the porch of the house, Jova occasionally glanced at the door because Sean was inside with Helen.
“You pissed me off so I ended up coming to you early, Chloe.” Morgan spoke after finishing sipping coffee.
Jova furrowed her brows at Morgan's words, what did the man mean.
“Makes you upset? I did what? I didn't run away, how could you be upset?” Jova looked at Morgan in disbelief.
“Didn't I have said many times that you are mine and no one should be with you but me. You forgot that, Chloe.” Morgan stared intently at Chloe who was sitting opposite him.
Chloe was flabbergasted at Morgan's words.
“What do you mean?” asked Jova with a frown.
“Didn't I say, if you mess around then I will destroy anyone close to you. I don't like you being close to that guy, Chloe. But you even continue with him,” said Morgan answered Jova's question.
Jova was further flabbergasted as to whether Morgan meant Edmund.
“Seeing the consequences of your actions, someone must be hurt because of you,” Morgan said again relaxed while crossing his legs.
“Ap-what?” Jova was surprised.
Jova remembered Edmund, to pick up the phone and immediately contact his lover.
“Ed, did something happen to you?” Jova immediately asked as her call connected with Edmund.
“Jo, you know where. Sorry for not contacting you.” Edmund's voice rang out from across the call, apparently Edmund thought that Jova knew she had an accident, but she didn't.
Jova looked at the relaxed looking Morgan, even the man took another sip of coffee.
“Ed, what happened?” ask Jova later.
“Night I accidentally ran a red light because someone followed, until I accidentally hit another car,” replied Edmund from across the call.
Morgan only smiled slantedly at the panic on Jova's face, until the man circulated his gaze and explored the courtyard of Jova's house.
“Where are you now? What's hurt?” ask Jova later.
“Just a broken arm, while I was still in the hospital,” replied Edmund from across the call. “If you can't come, don't come here,” Edmund said later.
Jova said goodbye, then ended the call and looked at the calm looking Morgan.
“This is you,” said Jova with an unhappy look.
“It was just a small warning to you. I've never messed around, Chloe. So don't ever do anything I'm forbidden!” Morgan initially spoke with an ordinary expression, until the man's gaze suddenly turned so sharp.
Jova clenched both palms on her knees, apparently she could never escape the man, unless Morgan was tired of him, as the man had said two years ago.
“What do you want?” Jova closed her eyes when she asked that question.
“Don't I mention it. I want you to come with me, be mine.” Morgan stared at the despair on Jova's face.
Jova took a deep breath and greeted her slowly, before then opening her eyes and looking at Morgan who was already looking at her.
“If I do that, will you release Edmund?” ask Jova later.
“Yes, if you obey all of my words, including leaving him. If you rebel, then I can do worse than just make him wretched,” Morgan replied in a threatening tone. He just wanted Jova to be afraid and submit to him.
Jova brushed her fingers, slightly lowered and looking thoughtful. He can't make Edmund hurt, Morgan could have done something bad to the man who helped and filled his life. Jova couldn't let that happen, so she had to make a very difficult decision.
“Alright, as long as you want to take it off and not disturb people I know. I will come with you,” Jova said in the end even though her heart was so heavy making that decision. He just needs to make Morgan quickly bored of him, then he can escape and go from the man's life for good. Or so Jova's hopes for now.
Morgan grinned at Jova's words, until he looked at the door of Jova's house.
“That baby, what's his name?” ask Morgan to Jova.
Jova was surprised by the rapidly beating heart.
“He's your son? He looks a lot like me. Is he my son, Chloe?” Morgan stared intently at the panicked-looking Jova, making Morgan very confident that the baby she saw was her son.
