Diantha could not stop crying after what happened to her. Seeing the many items from his house being confiscated, he felt that he had failed to look after his house. The girl continued to cry in front of her room without any regard around. He did not care even though the hallway of the apartment there were people passing by. He can only cry.
His disappointment with his father is undeniable. He had so much hope and trust in her. But again the man broke the trust of their little family. Diantha no longer knew who she could depend on and complain.
The girl's cry suddenly came to a halt due to the sound of a bedebum emanating from before her. A cardboard box containing a pile of random items fell before him, making the girl turn her head.
The person carrying the cardboard was now looking at him in wonder. Their gazes met, then both frowned. "Lo lives here too?" ask the man spontaneously.
Diantha nodded small. His brain was still processing his emotional transition into confusion. He was puzzled as to why Damar was again present before him in such an unexpected way.
The man is now squatting in front of him. "Why cry?"
Diantha's eyes were now gnawing, back in tears. Diantha's behavior caused the man to panic. "D-uh? Don't cry anymore! I'll think I'm doing it!"
Diantha wiped her tears. "Sorry," he said.
Damar panicked. "Don't apologize, dong!"
Diantha now looked down lethargic. He was confused as to how to respond to the man before him.
Damar just stared at Diantha in silence, trying to understand what had happened. Until then he glanced into the wide-open door of his house, displaying a messy scene and some empty-looking corners. He then remembered two men who had crossed paths with him carrying a pick up car. They seem to be picking things up from somewhere.
Damar looked back at Diantha. The empty look of the woman now felt familiar. Damar was sure it was the same expression he had shown when Diantha was in the hospital. The same blank look before he decided to commit suicide.
The man suddenly linlung. He was suddenly afraid that it would happen again in front of him. And that means he has to prevent it.
"Do you need a hug?" ask Damar rhetorically.
Diantha looked up hesitantly, seemingly wondering hearing Damar's question.
"You must be really sad. He said a person's hug can lessen the bit of burden you hold." Damar instantly clenched his mouth when he realized what he had just said. His heart suddenly felt pain when remembering the incident at that time.
Damar did not remember exactly what he said to Diantha when the girl was hospitalized. But Damar ingst was right he must have said something hurtful. Something hurt this girl so much that she could say nothing but thank you to her in the letter.
He then looked at Diantha who just looked down, not giving any reaction. The man is now bracing himself. He slowly pulled the body in his warm embrace, letting Diantha immerse her face in his shoulder. Then Damar could feel his cries growing louder. Now, without a sound.
"Nothing, you can cry as much." The man muttered softly, and then Diantha could no longer hold back her sobbing.
......................
Damar glanced into Diantha's home unit. He's ruffled around the waist. While Diantha had tried to push Damar out, but always failed. The girl finally gave up and let Damar in.
"Collapse," he chirped.
Diantha let out a breath. "I know."
"Those who take your things?" ask Damar directly. Diantha's expression now could not lie, it was clear that the answer was yes, even though the girl did not answer.
The man now smiled broadly. "Our lives are winning, yes."
"Life is a challenge" replied Diantha.
"Gue just got kicked out of the house. That's why I moved." Damar pointed at the cardboard containing his belongings lying at the door.
Diantha looked at Damar in disbelief. "Kok can you stay relaxed even though you've been kicked out like that?" tanyanya. "Don't it hurt to be kicked out by your own family?" he asked doubtfully.
Damar smiled little. "Gue just feels more fun. Like a bird that's out of a cage."
Diantha turned her eyes. Anyway, it feels like he can't understand.
Damar glanced at Diantha who looked puzzled. He realized that their views were different.
"Sometimes there are some places, which although it should be a comfortable place, it is the opposite place. I always believed in their family, he always taught me the right values about family. But sometimes things change. There was so much going on that I couldn't take my look anymore. And I feel like I'm getting angry. I'll get angry if that comfortable place is vandalized."
Diantha now looked at Damar, realizing his seriousness when saying those words. And though he refused to admit it, he felt his words sounded right.
