Motorcycles echoed along the streets filled with abandoned project buildings. The night that should have been cold because of the stagnant drizzle became hot when the youths in the racecourse played the game. Rain is not an obstacle if the spirit has tempered. For victory, for achievement, for satisfaction. The youths present in the wild racecourse had a variety of different reasons. As is the reason for Damar Yudha Saskara, the lord who loved victory so much.
However, for him the night and the rain were always the exception. It was the only thing that made him unwilling to face the sky, which was as dark as if it was going to drown his wet body. He hated the smell of the rain spattering with the soil along the road he was walking. Until instead of controlling the streets as usual, he was more willing to see it disappear from the face of the earth.
The man had driven his bike out of the arena.
The more he raised his speed, the more the shadows rotated the faster. Damar always hated the rain at night which always reminded him of his mother's death. The rush of rain that disguised his tears, the sound of lightning silencing his cries, and the scent of petricor piercing his sense of smell. A scent that always reminded him of his funeral. The darkness of the sky that always made his heart more and more jet. He said that the one who dies will become a star in the sky. But that night there was not a single speck of stars up there.
The speck of rain that rained down on his body felt increasingly heavy. His body is getting hotter. His head is getting sick. The same taste, which reminded Damar of being a helpless little boy crying in front of his mother's grave.
The noise of the streets was getting further and further away. It was as if he was getting smaller, and the world was dancing around as if laughing at him. No, Damar hates that.
Damar focused his eyes forward. For some reason, he lost the focus of his vision.
Until his gaze returned, he saw a person standing several meters before him.
Brakkk
And Damar couldn't avoid it.
......................
Damar exhaled his heavy breath. Either he was relieved that the woman was still alive, or was depressed because her injuries were severe enough due to her carelessness.
Injuries to his face and feet. And his right arm bone is fractured so he needs special care.
Damar fell asleep in the waiting chair in the morning blind because he could not sleep all night waiting for the woman to wake up. He opened his eyes when the sunlight began to hit his face. The man was shocked. He immediately gathered his consciousness as soon as he remembered there was someone who needed his responsibility.
Damar immediately stood up and entered the room where the woman was being treated. He lifted the curtain that slightly covered it. Then a second later Damar's eyes were perfectly rounded, looking at the blood covered in the girl's palm just after he took pains to pull out his needle. At the same time, the woman looked at him. His bandaged right hand dropped the infusion needle just like that, equally shocked.
Damar swallowed his saliva, panicking. He immediately pressed the button next to the nightstand to call the nurse. But not only the panic he felt, now he was angry. "What are you doing? You want to die, huh?!" ask her with a high voice.
The girl nodded slowly. "I .. want to go home."
Damar closed his mouth. No. gabe. He hated that look. A look of despair that made him somehow feel extremely angry. Even when the tears welled up in his eyes, he was reluctant to drip them.
Damar ruffled his hair in frustration. "Going home? When you get hurt like this? Is that crazy, lo? Do you realize that what you are doing is stupid? If you want to die, don't be here! I have to take responsibility for your accident! I'll be bothered if your condition gets worse!"
"Sorry ...," the girl groaned as she lowered her head.
Somehow, Damar felt that the lady would say a few more words. But the words did not come out of his mouth until the nurse came.
The man decided to go back out while the nurse reassembled the infusion. He then opens the phone and searches for Celine's name on his contact. Celine, one of the girls who set the money in the racecourse. He pressed the call icon until connected across.
"Hello? The damar? What was? Where did you suddenly say semalem?" A distinctive hoarse sound of waking up was heard across the.
"Gue wants to go home to Semalem. About the match money three days ago, can be sent now?" tanyanya to the point.
"Do you need any more?" Celine asked in a surprised tone.
"Yes." Yeah." Damar paused for a moment. "Gue's been in an accident."
"Huh? Whahuh? Keep on lo gapapa? How can?!" Celine's voice across from him instantly sounded panicked.
"Kalem," quiet Damar. "It wasn't me, but I hit people. Again treated now."
"Oh my goodness. I'm sending the money now." Celine exhaled her breath in relief.
"Thanks, Cel." Now Damar who breathed a sigh of relief.
"Lo needs something more, right? I don't need to go there now?"
"No, no, no" refused Damar. "Gue's gonna take the bike."
......................
Damar returned to the hospital after picking up his motorbike which was secured by police. He furrowed his eyebrows when he realized this hospital was more crowded than ever. No, it's even very crowded. There were several reporters running past him, and it appeared that several people were rushing towards the same direction. He then looked at the direction opposite him which was filled with a crowd.
Damar wonders. But he had to go back to make sure of the woman's condition.
Damar entered the woman's ward. Unfortunately, the lady was not in her room. He clucked, then turned to look for her. But a step later Damar paused his steps, realizing something. He approached the woman's bed.
The infusion again. And a piece of paper left on the nightstand. For some reason, his heart suddenly raced faster. He then opened the folded paper, and read the writing written in a mess.
Sorry, I don't want to trouble you anymore. I will leave, because there is no more desire that I have. May you live free and happy. I'm so grateful that you've been the last person to help me when there's no one by my side.
Goodby.
And Damar's heart was really racing faster, so it almost exploded.
He squeezed the paper into his hand. A sense of tightness suddenly filled his chest cavity. He then ran, down the aisle of the hospital, through the treads to the ground floor so he could get out of there.
Damar broke through the still crowded crowd. He then forced his way across the police line to see who was lying stiff there. And then his steps came to a halt looking at that face, with a fresh red hue that welled up around him.
