The Wild And Flower
Who Returned and Escaped

Diantha was stunned to see the middle-aged man standing before her. Shabby clothes, shaggy hair, and messy growing hairs on his face. His appearance almost covered the handsome face behind that frail body. But Diantha was sure she could still recognize the knock on the man's footsteps.

“Dad?” muttered spontaneously.

The girl rolled her eyes in disbelief. His knuckles suddenly cooled as soon as their eyes met each other. The man looked at her in surprise. He slowly stepped back. Diantha swallowed her saliva, suddenly afraid that the man would disappear again.

Then the man ran quickly out of the door.

Diantha held her breath. “Dad! Don't go!” The girl ran after him.

The man ran furiously leaving Diantha behind. It's back. He remembered that place was where his wife used to work. But after hearing the bird about his death, he became afraid. He was afraid to face Diantha. He couldn't see his face.

“Dad! Wait!” Diantha shouted back to her.

The man turned his head, noticing Diantha who was getting closer and closer chasing after him. His breathing grew even more breathless as he tried to speed up his pace. The energy of his body that is increasingly frail can not be lied to. his energy will be inferior to young people. But the man did not give up.

Until a few seconds later, the step was blocked by a motor that was driving from the intersection. The man fell.

“Dad!!” Diantha immediately ran over to her father. He led his father to get up from the asphalt. The girl then exhaled a sigh of relief at the state of her father who was fine.

The man looked at his daughter's face with teary eyes. Guilt instantly expands once he realizes his daughter has grown up.

“Dad, don't run again.” Diantha hugged her father. The man could realize his pleading tone of voice.

......................

Two bowls of soup served warmly. This time, as if the role of soup is not a supporter in the cold of the night temperature, but vice versa. It was the night that supported the solemnity of the warmth of the soup that became a favorite of their family. For a moment, Diantha felt a miracle come to her. For a moment, he could forget all the troubles that were haunting him. For a moment, he felt no longer alone through the dark night.

Because honestly, he always felt lonely. He was always afraid of not being able to go through the night to the morning.

“How's dad doing?” Diantha asked pleasantries while sipping her soup.

The man nodded small. “Good,” he replied in a small voice.

Diantha smiled slightly. He realized it would be difficult to start a conversation after years of not seeing each other without telling each other. For him, that was more than enough. Most importantly, her father is back.

They finished the soup in silence. There was a voice echoing in each other's heads. The girl who voiced hope. And the father who is being urged to worry is endless.

The girl piled an empty bowl on the table. His lips were pinched, daring to speak. Within a few seconds, he convinced himself. “Dad, let's face it all together. Don't run away again. Don't hide anymore.”

Hopefully, from this moment on they will face everything together. Like her mother's hope.

The man looked at Diantha doubtfully. Until then he nodded slowly.

Diantha commented a relieved smile. He stood up lifting the bowl with a bright smile. “Dad must be tired. Now I rest first. Dad's room with Mom I always clean, you know!”

Diantha then washed the bowls in the sink in the kitchen. His smile continued to expand. He never finished his job with that feeling. Until then the girl found a picture of her mother on the wall.

“Mother, I used to say, right? If you come home one day, I have to smile and believe that from now on we will face problems together. Sorry, Diantha had doubts. But all this because of Mother who always believed in our family.” The girl muttered softly as she stroked the photo of her mother.

He looked into his father's room. There were no signs of movement or sound from his sleeping body. His eyes closed tightly.

It's been a long time. It had been a very long time since the last time he had said those words every night. Maybe he was very young then. Maybe at that time the world looked beautiful.

His eyes suddenly glazed over. Diantha could not hold back her tears. The girl rushed into her own room. Immediately shed his tears in the form of his sleeping pillow until no sound was heard. He wiped his tears and immediately finished his sobs.

“Nothing. Sleep, let's go to sleep,” said Diantha to calm herself. “Tomorrow we chat more.”

......................

The sound of knocking on the door being pounded loudly sounded early in the morning. Consciousness had not yet picked Diantha up until her ears were completely forced to hear the super noisy door bangs.

“WOY!! DIANTHA!! OPEN DOOR!!”

“WOY!! PAY YOUR DEBTS TO THE DOG!!”

“DON'T RUN AWAY KAYAK MR LO!! CEPET OUT!!”

Then Diantha's eyes were completely opened. He was panicking. The girl immediately tied up her original hair and ran towards the front to open the door.

“Pak, sorry!! I just heard!!”

The two big-bodied men stared at him fiercely. “Halahh!! Doesn't care about me. What matters now where is the money?”

Diantha gulped her saliva, then nodded quickly. “Good, Sir!! I take the money first, yes!!”

The girl rushed to get the money she used to put in her closet. He opened his drawer, but unfortunately there was nothing there other than a passbook and documents in the folder. Diantha panicked, because that was the only deposit she had saved specifically to pay the debt installments this month.

He dismantled every gap that allowed the money to be put, but nil. He even remembered exactly where he put it and dismissed the possibility that the money was lost. His heart is beating fast. No, not now. His father had just returned, but trouble was about to befall them.

The girl was then stunned. His mind began to rage. He rushed to his room, and his father was not there. “Dad!” call him desperate.

And as he expected, no one answered his call.

Diantha looked around her house again. He realized that his entire house was more messy than before. It was as if someone had just ruffled him and left the house.

If true, only one person might do it.

Diantha took a heavy breath, not believing what she was witnessing. His father once again betrayed his trust.

Diantha ventured forward, facing the loan sharks again. “Sorry, Sir. The money is not there,” he said slowly.

The two men snorted violently. “BILANG FROM EARLIER, DONG!!” say one of them loud.

Diantha closed her eyes trembling. “Please give me a chance, Sir!” begingly.

“According to our agreement, deh! Once you can not pay, the items in your house were confiscated. If you do not want to pay at all, ntar lo house that I will confiscate!”

“Pak, I beg you!”

Diantha's plea is like the wind. His body was slashed and the loan sharks entered forcefully, taking out his entire house.
