Atonement

Tonight, Mia was laying her body on the bed. Before going to bed, his hand reached up to the nightstand. A cell phone he managed to hold.

Mia checked her phone. There was a call from Sindi that he had missed.

"Sindi called A" said Mia.

"Thank you dong" said Dion.

"Last noon" said Mia.

Dion stared at the clock stuck to the wall of his room.

"Tomorrow. It's night now" said Dion.

"Yes A" said Mia.

Mia kept her phone and went to sleep. Tonight he felt very happy. Mia can sleep so fast without the burden that interferes with her night.

"Morning," Dion said as Mia opened the door.

"Yes my. Mia's bad luck A?" mia asked in surprise when she saw that Dion was already wearing his office suit.

"No. I woke up early because I had to leave early. Some files I haven't finished while Reza is going to the office today" Dion said.

"Oh, that's A. Hope everything is good A!" said Mia.

"Thank you for all your prayers and support, Mi" Dion said.

"Papa proud?" ask Mia.

"Papa is much more proud of you. An independent and great son" replied Mr. Felix.

As a father, Mr. Felix knew Mia was starting to get jealous as he boasted of Rian.

"Really?" ask Mia.

"Didn't Papa lie to you?" ask Mr. Felix.

Mia shakes.

"Oh yeah, Papa forgot to show you something. Just a moment" said Mr. Felix.

Mia was confused waiting for what Mr. Felix would show. His father plays his cell phone. I don't know what he's looking for.

"See this!" said Mr. Felix while giving his cell phone.

Mia looked at Mr. Felix's face before she received the phone. Mia saw some photos stored in Mr. Felix's cell phone gallery.

"What's this?" ask Mia.

Mia seemed to be doubtful about the conclusion she had made.

"Yes, that's a picture of your mother's house and grave. A great woman who makes me unable to forget" said Mr Felix.

"Seriously dad?" ask Mia.

Mia looked in disbelief as she saw Mr. Felix nod his head. He did not expect, Mr. Felix who was in Germany could take good care of his mother's house and tomb in Bandung.

"Thank you Pah" said Mia.

Now Mia realizes that money can change everything. The house, which is considered a haunted house, now looks clean and fresh even though no one inhabits it.

The tomb of Bu Ningsih who had to pass through the rice field now lies a road that can be passed by vehicles. Mia was so proud of Mr. Felix. His love he proved by throwing tang funds not a little. Bu Ningsih died before they could meet again.

"You know why Papa wants to build this company?" ask Mr. Felix.

"Let Mia realize all of Mia's dreams?" ask Mia.

"certain. With money you can be heard. With money you can make yourself and everyone you love happy" replied Mr. Felix.

Now Mia is increasingly aware that she must use this opportunity as best she can. Being an independent woman but still not forgetting all her duties as a mother and wife.

"Mama," said Mia.

"Hey Mi" replied Lady Helen.

"What's your mom?" ask Mia.

"Lonely mom. Going to the twins' room, they're sleeping. Ever since Mr. Felix, Mama's been feeling sidelined!" said Mrs Helen.

"Well, how did Mama say that?" mia asked as she approached and hugged Lady Helen.

Lady Helen is eager to join Mia and Mr. Felix. But he feels bad. Afraid that his presence would interfere with the conversation of the two.

"Ma, there's no way Mama's bothering Mia. Sorry Mia if Mia didn't see Mama. Mia thinks Mama's resting in the room" said Mia.

"Mama is afraid of Mi" said Mrs Helen.

"What are you afraid of?" ask Mia.

"Sindi is not in this house. You also if there is a Mr. Felix if Mama becomes afraid," said Mrs Helen.

"Ma, how the hell is that? Mia is still Mama's son. It's impossible to find Mama. Sindi is also Mama's son. Despite living in her husband's house, but.." Mia's words came to a halt as Sindi shouted excitedly to call Lady Helen.

"Mamaaaa, Miaaaaa," cried Sindi.

"Sindi?" ask Miss Helen to Mia.

"Yes Ma" replied Mia.

"Mama is here" cried Lady Helen.

Sindi immediately hugged Madam Helen tightly. His eyes could no longer hold back his longing cries. Only one day they did not meet.

"You're healthy Sin?" asked Madame Helen while rubbing Sindi's cheeks.

"I'm healthy. My mom is healthy too, right?" ask Sindi.

"Yes. Mama is well" replied Mrs Helen.

"He didn't lie, did he? Even though Sindi doesn't live here, she can't forget Mama." Mia rubbed the back of Lady Helen.

"Thank you yes. You make Mama moved," said Mrs Helen.

"You alone?" ask Mia.

"So the driver was delivered" Sindi replied.

"So you know you're not here?" ask Mrs Helen.

"Yes know dong Ma. It's permission first," said Sindi.

"He's not angry?" ask Mrs Helen.

"So. Why angry? Time to meet Mama herself can not," replied Sindi.

Thank goodness her heart was open. I think he'll take Sindi from me. The wewe gombel seems to have repented.

The three said a lot. Letting go of each other until there is laughter. Rian sharpened his hearing. He immediately came out after being convinced that it was Sindi's voice.

"Kak Sindi," call Rian.

"Riaaaaan," cried Sindi.

Sindi's warm embrace landed for Rian. Their closeness cannot be doubted. Even Rian is a living witness of Sindi's love journey to Danu.

"Have you done the job?" ask Mia.

"Udah Brother" replied Rian.

"Geez you are so diligent. Not in school but still doing the job. Best deh," said Sindi while lifting both thumbs.

"I'm the next Brother Dion. Isn't it sister?" ask Dion to Mia.

"It should be better dong. You have to be more successful" said Mrs Helen.

Rian was happy when so many people supported him. He was nobody in that house. But Lady Helen always considered herself part of that family. All the support and motivation he always got from Mrs Helen and Mr. Wira.
