The Widow of the Duda Doctor

The Widow of the Duda Doctor
Chapter 26 - Searching for Truth

I don't think the time has been set at 9pm. Rina decided to say goodbye to Madame Baskara. Once in the family room, Rina was treated to a very extraordinary view. I don't know since when Erika and Aurora changed their clothes with dresses. Clearly, the two children were now like two child stars performing on stage. Erika danced in an agile and orderly manner, while Aurora sang a song in her mellow voice. It was accompanied by piano music played by Ricko.

Rina and Madam Baskara who witnessed it did not want to miss the moment of the move. They quickly approached and captured the moment with their respective cell phone cameras.

Prok prok! The sound of the applause of Rina and Madame Baskara became the cover of the appearance of the two little boys tonight.

"You're both great" praised Rina and Madame Baskara together.

"Thank you" the two boys replied.

"Eri, let's go home now, son," asked Rina.

"Erika hasn't come home yet" Ricko got up from behind the piano "he said he wanted to stay here with Aurora."

"Is that right, honey?" Lina looked at her daughter questioningly.

"Yes, Ma, Om Ricko is right. Eri wants to spend the night here with Aurora," Erika said, confirming Ricko's remarks.

"But baby, you're 'kan-"

"Ma, can you, huh? Tomorrow's Ma's day off, so Eri doesn't have to go to school" Erika said.

"But-"

"Leave it, Rina. There's nothing you need to worry about if your daughter wants to stay here" said Madam Baskara.

Because Baskara's mistress spoke up, Rina finally allowed Erika to spend the night there.

"Mc ... Rina. Shall I take you home?" bargain Ricko.

"It's not necessary, Doc. My driver is already waiting in front," refused Rina. It would be very awkward if the man drove her home. "Oh yeah, where's Ayra anyway?" he asked then, while spreading his gaze around the room.

"Ayra just got home" Ricko replied.

"Oh."

Ayra came home first why not tell me. Inner Rina.

After taking Lina to the front porch, Ricko and Madame Baskara stepped into their rooms. As Ricko passes by Aurora's room, he wonders what Aurora and Erika are up to, whether the two girls are asleep or are they still playing. And it turns out the two are still not sleeping, but instead are engrossed in playing dolls while chatting.

"Eri, you're so lucky to have a mom. Mama you're good again" Aurora said.

"Yes dong" replied Erika. "You're also lucky to have a good father like Om Ricko."

"Eri, do you remember? We used to say, if your mama were my mama too, and my papa was your papa too, it would feel so good. We will continue like this every day. Playing together, going to school together, also sleeping together" Aurora said.

Ricko who heard his daughter's words became a smile himself. It turned out that the two children had already betrothed him to Rina from the beginning.

"Yes, of course I remember, Auror. But ...."

"But why, Eri?" ask Aurora curiously.

"But it seems like the plan must inevitably cancel Aurora," Erika replied, making the smile that had just expanded on Ricko's lips instantly fade.

Does Erika not like me? Or, am I not good enough to replace his biological father? Inner Ricko.

"Loh, why Eri? Is my dad not good enough? Did you not like my papa after you met him?" ask Aurora. Honestly, he was a little disappointed. His hope of having a complete mother and family seemed to just vanish.

"What, so papa you're back?" Aurora felt quite surprised to hear Erika's confession.

"Yes, and now I'm there my mother has lived in one house with my papa," added Erika.

Meanwhile, Ricko closed Aurora's bedroom door slowly so as not to be caught by the two little girls. The new fact that he had just heard directly coming out of Erika's mouth clearly made her jealous.

"How could they possibly stay one house back? Have they been refered to?" muttered Ricko. She does not think that Rina still wants to go back to her ex-husband, because according to the story that Ricko heard from Marwah and Ayra, ma'am, rina's ex-husband is a useless and irresponsible man. In fact, he said, the man always used Rina to work hard to support the family, but instead ignored him when he entered the hospital.

"This can't be allowed. I need to take action immediately." With quick steps Ricko rushed inside his room to contact someone.

The next morning

Ricko and Aurora take Erika home. When they arrived there, their arrival was immediately greeted by Marwah ma'am.

"Good morning, Mom." Ricko greeted the middle-aged woman with a friendly smile. "I drove Eri home. Said he and Aurora would play here all day."

"Oh, can, can. Please come in," take Miss Marwah. "Aurora's father, huh?"

"Yes, Mom."

As soon as Ricko entered the house, Ms. Marwah thought hard, where she had seen Papa Aurora before. It seemed that the handsome man was no stranger in his eyes.

As soon as Ricko sat on one of the couches in the living room, he said to Marwah's mom, "Mom, did you forget about me?"

Ma Marwah looked at Ricko. "Well, that's what I've been thinking since. Like I've seen you, but I forgot where."

Ricko smile. Understand if the middle-aged woman forgot about him. "I used to be the doctor who treated Rina in the hospital, Mom, when she had a miscarriage."

Ms. Marwah shut her mouth. "God. Doctor Ricko?"

"Yes, Mom." Ricko replied with a smile and a slow nod.

"Oh my goodness, Doctor Ricko. I never thought that it turns out that Doctor Son is Aurora's father" said Marwah. "The world's so narrow, huh?" he added then laughed.

After chatting for a while, Marwah then invited Ricko to go to the dining table. This morning he made au putu cake, he wanted Ricko to taste it with warm tea.

"Mom, where's Rina, by the way, Mom?" ask Ricko. His gaze swept around the room, but he saw no one. Except for Ms. Marwah who was preparing a cake for her, also the children who had just run up the stairs were about to go up to the top floor.

Actually, it's not only Rina that Ricko is looking for, but Papa Erika who he says now lives in one house with them. Ricko wanted to find out, whether they were really referring to him now or not.

"If Rina, usually if it's a holiday like this, she will rarely go out of the room. He will spend all day in his room" replied Marwah.

Spend time in the room all day? Don't-don't they .. ah, no-no. I can't be so prejudiced just yet. Inner Ricko.

"Mom, may I ask you a question?"

"What do you mean, Doctor?"

"Said Erika .. The papa is back, and now lives here with you. Is that true, Mom?"

"Yes, that's right!" Ricko's question was not answered by Marwah's mother, but answered by a man who suddenly appeared behind Ricko.
