When Rina turned around, she had already seen Erika helping Anton stand up. "Papa, let's get up Papa," said Erika.
"Eri." Anton looked at his daughter with teary eyes while trying to stand up from his position. 2 Years never saw his daughter, it turns out Erika has now grown a lot. Erika has grown into a beautiful little girl. It seemed like Lina was taking very good care of her daughter after they split up.
After Anton stood up perfectly, he immediately hugged his daughter tightly. "Papa misses you so much, son."
"Eri too, Papa. Eri also misses Papa very much." Erika hugged her papa back, releasing all the longing that had been mounting. For the past two years, secretly unbeknownst to Rina and anyone else, the little girl had often cried because she missed her papa.
That heartwarming sight should make the hearts of everyone who witnessed it beat up, but unfortunately that was not the case for Rina. With a million resentments he had toward Anton, the woman was sick of seeing the scene. He's known Anton for almost 10 years and he knows exactly what the man looks like. If Anton still hasn't changed, it could be that the man re-emerged in his life and Erika because she just wants to take advantage of Rina as the man has done in the past.
The next scene, Rina just fell silent watching her daughter pull Anton's hand to sit in the shade on the porch of the salon. "Papa, Papa's okay, isn't it?" ask Erika.
"Yes, son, Papa is okay" Anton replied. "There's just a little bit of a scuff wound and it doesn't matter, because now Papa has met you."
Erika smiling. "Then wait here for a moment Papa, let Eri help treat Papa's wounds. Eri grab the medicine box inside first huh." Erika ran past Rina just like that. The little girl knew very well that her mother hated her papa, but she did not want to do the same thing as Rina did, because after all, blood was thicker than water, inside him was flowing the blood of the man. No matter how bad Anton was in the past, Anton was still his real father. It cannot be changed until the end of time.
Seeing how unfortunately Erika was to Anton, Rina could do nothing. She also couldn't possibly make her daughter hate her ex-husband. Either way, Anton is still Erika's biological father. He can't deny that.
While Erika was still not back, Lina took the opportunity to expel the man. Rina then walked over to Anton who was currently sitting on one of the salon's patio chairs. "Hey, listen. After Erika treats your wound, get out of here as soon as possible, because I'm so sick of seeing your face" said Rina. "Want you here to see Erika, right? And now you've seen it. You should be able to leave now quietly, because without you I could raise Erika very well."
After commemorating Anton and saying all the spicy sentences, Rina decided to return to her room on the 2nd floor. He wanted to give time for Erika and Anton to meet even if only briefly so that the two could be more satisfied to let go of longing.
As soon as Lina reached her room, she found her phone ringing on the table. After he checked, apparently he got an invitation from Erika's school to attend the school's birthday event which will be held tomorrow morning.
"Why is the notice so sudden? It should have been delivered a few days ago," muttered Rina, then put her phone back on the table. It was fortunate that tomorrow his schedule was free, so he could still attend the event.
.
1 Hour later
Until this moment Erika still did not go up to her mother's room. Is it down there Anton still hasn't gone too? So thought Rina. To make sure of this, Rina immediately called one of her employees.
"Eri is still outside, Mom, sitting together .." The employee didn't know what to say about Anton. Afraid that she'd misspoke and went back to angering Lina.
Rina who already knew the answer to his statement immediately disconnected their phone. He knows that Anton is still down there and hasn't left yet. Before going downstairs, Lina snatched her bag and car keys. It seemed like today he had to return home earlier than usual.
Arriving downstairs, Rina saw Erika sitting together while chatting with Anton. Lina could not hear what the father and son were talking about, which was obvious, she did not care about it at all. What's in her brain right now is, taking Erika home so Anton can get out of there. An hour more time he gave for the two to meet seemed to be more than enough, considering Anton was also not so close to their daughter.
"Eri, let's go home now, honey," asked Rina.
Erika speechless. The little girl looked at her mom and dad in turn. Then after a few seconds he walked over to Lina. Erika looked up at her mama who looked upset as she said, "Ma."
Lina immediately clasped Erika's wrist. "We're home now, honey. Come on." Rina said while trying to pull Erika's wrist towards the car, but unfortunately the daughter refused. Erika released the grip of Rina's hand while taking a few steps back, then stood hanging on the spot and lowered her head.
Lina knew that her daughter still wanted to linger with Anton, but Rina would not allow that. He knows he's selfish, but remembering all Anton's past treatment gives him the heart to do that. Especially when she remembered that Anton was the main cause of her losing their second child candidate, it felt like Rina wanted to do something cruel to the man.
"Come, Eri, we're going home now, son. At home grandma is not feeling well," said Lina lying. He deliberately sought an excuse for his daughter to comply and wanted to come home with him. And what he means here with grandma is Miss Marwah. After Lina had success with her career that time, she then brought the middle-aged woman to live with her. Indeed, for a long time he had considered Miss Marwah as his own adoptive mother, the replacement of his parents who had long gone.
But unfortunately, no matter what Rina said, Erika still did not care. The little girl still stared at his place while looking deeply down.
"Eri, what's wrong with you, son? Has that guy brainwashed you?" ask Rina. He looked at Anton with a deep, vengeful look of hate.
But suddenly Lina was surprised because both of Erika's hands were now holding her right wrist. Her daughter was now looking up at her with red and wet eyes. Apparently Erika looked down because she was crying.
"Darling, why are you crying?" Rina hurriedly squatted down and wiped away her daughter's tears.
"Ma, Mama loved Eri, right?" ask Erika.
