The Twin Seeds of the Millionaire

The Twin Seeds of the Millionaire
Neo, you just spoke?

The car drove along a busy road. After escorting Winnie and Zoe back home, they find the night rush hour in Nanking during the drive home. The streets are starting to crash. Neo seemed a little frustrated whenever he faced a situation like this, yet he kept quiet today, and scribbled his little drawing board with crayons.

Afonso thought about what happened at the Japanese restaurant this afternoon and he felt a little amazed. The reason Neo liked Winnie could be explained because Winnie had saved her back then, but what about her daughter? Although the girl is adorable, it is not new if her friend has brought adorable children to connect with Neo in the past, and Neo always looks disinterested. Thinking about it, Afonso suddenly felt someone pull up his sleeve. His mind returned to the real world and he looked towards the seat beside him.

Neo raised his drawing board towards him with an excited expression. A man and a woman were drawn on a blackboard with colorful crayons, and a child in the middle held hands. The sky is blue, the sun is golden, and the grass is green, everything is beautiful. Afonso observed the picture for a while and asked doubtfully, "Do you want a mother? Neo."

Neo nodded a lot. His face turned red and he let out a word from his mouth with strength. "Mommy!" Afonso's expression froze as he heard his words and a nervous expression began to appear. He used to be a calm and relaxed person, but his voice was currently trembling in disbelief. “Neo, you just spoke.”

He had not heard Neo say a word since he had a high fever three years ago. It was the first time in three years.

Neo looked at him in hope and his hand was clamped on the drawing board. Afonso carried away the feeling for a long time and he finally calmed himself down. Thinking that seeing the relationship between Winnie and Zoe during the day was what made her feel envious, she was a little guilty. He was young and careless when he decided to have children.

He originally thought handing over a child to his grandfather to fulfill his wish should not be a problem since he was still a child, yet he did not expect that his grandfather had developed feelings for him. If he had known that before, he would not have allowed such a fragile life to be born in this world alone in such easy fears and worries. He should know the importance of a whole family better than anyone.

With that thought, he caressed Neo's head with a gentle look. "Well, Daddy's gonna find Mommy for you." Neo smiled happily, as did his eyes.

...

“I have checked the nearest school, the health facilities are not good and some schools are quite far from the hospital. I'm worried about Zoe's asthma, if the asthma comes back, it won't be time enough for them to send her to the hospital for treatment." Winnie spoke to Alayna Cole who is currently on a business trip abroad by phone after returning home. Alayna was a friend she knew when she was abroad. Both of them were straightforward people and hated fate for not letting them meet earlier. Alayna even made herself a mother, Zoe continued.

Alayna had offered Winnie to stay at her house, but Winnie suddenly decided to take her daughter back to their country for treatment, and her voice was filled with worry from the other end of the phone. “I used to ask that too. I have a distant relative who works as a teacher in a private kindergarten and the People's Hospital right across from that school. But since the registration process is boring, I don't recommend it to you ."

"Is it so boring?" ask Winnie. Because of Zoe's disease, she pays extra attention to medical conditions and is afraid of making mistakes.

"How about this, I'll send you the registration form and you'll find out once you see it." Javan Alayna's.

"certain."

....

It's late at night. Winnie stared at the application form printed on the fax machine with mixed feelings. It is actually troublesome to send children to a private kindergarten because it requires permission from a government agency. He wondered if the children in the school were all children of famous people. Therefore, Winnie was so anxious that she rolled around all night, it was hard to fall asleep. He kept yawning all morning while he worked at the hotel the next day.

"Lake in." Winnie answered from the inside. Someone knocked on the door and Winnie was surprised to see that Afonso's assistant, Magnus James. "Why are you here, Mr James?" The distance between the ST Group building and the hotel where he works is quite far, so it requires power to go back and forth.

"Please ask."

"Mr Villares asked when you could submit your hotel's anniversary planning report for another two months."

“Birthday planning?” Winnie's confused. "I don't think I'm responsible for that?"

"That's the ST Hotel rule, I don't think the Madam knows it because the Madam is new here" Magnus explained patiently. “Any staff from the middle and upper levels of the company is obliged to follow the anniversary planning, no matter what department or position. This is not mandatory for ordinary workers but is mandatory for those with higher positions. This is also a tradition of our company. I think Mr. Villares is worried that if the Madam doesn't know it then he's asking me to tell Mrs Chamber."

Winnie was a little hesitant about his words because his probation was not over yet, and the promise he made with Afonso had not been fully fulfilled. It's ridiculous to mention something new is going to happen in two months. But he still tried to look polite and respectful. “Then I will prepare it as soon as possible.”

“Good, then I managed to convey the words of Mr. Villares.”

"Please wait, Mr. James." Suddenly Winnie thought of something and stopped James from leaving. He took out the lunch box from the isothermic bag he was carrying around the entire time and handed it to him. "I've made meatballs and side dishes. Seeing Mr. Villares' son who loved this meal last time, and because Mr. James was here too, so I ask you to bring this for his son."

Magnus was shocked and he would definitely not do such a thing in ordinary days. Afonso was annoyed by the enthusiastic behavior of his subordinate women the entire time and as he joined the company, his superiors kept warning him not to do such a useless thing. But he hesitated when he met Winnie. He felt unsure as there were rumors between Winnie and the boss at the company. He hesitated for a few seconds and asked, "Isn't this your lunch? Don't you want to eat it again?"

"Oh. I am currently taking care of my daughter's school registration. I had to take time off during the day and I didn't have time to eat it. I can buy something outside and I don't want to waste it."

Magnus was silent. He did not try to be enthusiastic about Afonso, instead he just did not want to waste food that had been wrapped in a funny place.

...

Magnus placed the supply on the tea table after he returned to the company building and reported some of the hotel conditions he had found that day to Afonso who was sitting in his seat of power. As Afonso listened, his eyes looked at Magnus and were fixed on the tea table behind him. “What do you eat, Neo?” Surprised as well, Magnus turned around and saw Neo hugging the small yellow duck stock box he was carrying. He held a spoon to scoop the food in it into his mouth full of sauce.

“It was her Chamber who asked me to bring food for Neo,” Magnus explained quickly. Hearing that it was food from Winnie, Afonso's movements came to a halt and his muscles loosened. With a relieved expression, he nodded lightly in reply. Seeing that Afonso was not showing any disgust or alarm, and that little Neo, who was once a picky eater, was now eating deliciously, Magnus was taken aback. When did Mr Villares trust Mrs Chamber so much?
