Jocelyn had just finished her lunch with her family and her uncle. He looked around and watched the condo belonging to his uncle's family carefully.
The condo that her uncle's family lived in is now very different from the house Jocelyn used to remember. Well, after all that about 13 years ago of course there would have been a lot of differences in response.
Jocelyn approached her uncle's son who was two years younger than her. He greeted his cousin. His name was Marco Elliot. Elliot, Marco's last name, was his uncle's last name.
Marco smiled looking at Jocelyn who was approaching and sitting by his side. It had been a long time, since the last time they sat together enjoying the breeze quietly.
"You've grown up now" Jocelyn told Marco and made the two laugh.
"Well, I guess that's how it is" Marco responded to his cousin's remark.
His uncle had a pair of children. His son is Marco and his daughter is Eliana Elliot.
Eliana is still out of town for the next two days because of her busy work at the office. That's why Jocelyn didn't meet Eliana.
After spending time talking with Marco, Jocelyn finally went to her room to clean her body which now feels sticky.
She will stay for two weeks in the same room as her sister. In fact, it would be very awkward due to the strange relationship between the two.
But it is undeniable, Jocelyn also expects this to happen as an effort to rectify misunderstandings and improve the relationship between the two.
Jocelyn knocked on the door before she finally opened it and went inside her room. He saw Emily who had just come out of the bathroom wrapped in a robe.
Jocelyn looked at her brother for a while before she finally smiled knotfully.
"You want to use the bathroom?, I just finished" said Emily indifferently to her sister.
"Ah, yes. I'll use it. Looks like you're gonna be spending some time outside tonight, huh?" Jocelyn asked trying to start a conversation.
Emily rolled her eyes in annoyance and looked at her sister with an uninterested look.
"When did you start taking care of my business? or rather, since when do I have to tell you every single thing I want to do?"
Emily dries her hair and doesn't care about Jocelyn anymore, as if her presence is just the wind then for her.
Jocelyn who heard her brother's thin sentence could only remain silent and try to make sense of the situation by not continuing her speech anymore.
This has been commonly faced by Jocelyn but as ordinary as Jocelyn, he still can not understand it.
After Jocelyn cleaned her body, she saw Emily was ready using a black mini dress equipped with a gray stiletto.
"You want to go now?" Jocelyn asked Emily.
Emily just nodded her head in a sign of agreeing with her sister's words and Jocelyn came to understand her point.
"Oh yeah Joe, I think I'll be home late tonight, can you help me meet Marina at the antlantis cafe?" Ask Emily to Jocelyn.
"Is it going to be long?" Jocelyn's response to Emily's request.
"I don't think it's a bad idea" Jocelyn finally agreed to her brother's request and continued her hair-drying activities.
...****************...
The moon shines brightly with a beautiful panorama of the sky, the city lights that illuminate the road are also quite helpful for the eyes to see the surroundings clearly.
A woman wearing ripped jeans combined with white t-shirt tops and sneakers walked leisurely after meeting her friend.
That woman is Jocelyn. He had just finished taking Emily's order and was now on his way home.
The order was just a flash drive containing some work ideas for Emily's future work so as not to burden Jocelyn too much to bring her home.
With a leisurely pace, Jocelyn continued to walk enjoying the night in Manhattan. Actually, the original plan was to hurry home after finishing his business.
However, after he was outside why he did not spend all his time that was how he thought.
Jocelyn who was enjoying the breeze of the upper east side night with the earphones attached to her ears faintly saw the crowd in the dark alley.
He sharpened his vision and watched the darkness. His eyes continued to pay attention to it until he finally saw someone pull out a weapon shaped like a gun.
"What's a gun?" He was a little surprised at himself.
Jocelyn felt a panic hit her, she wanted to scream right then and there but her feeling said it would be even more troublesome if it caused a commotion.
His mind began to dead end, he could not think at all, on the one hand he did not want himself to be involved in problems but if he did not react then there would be lives lost.
As he continued to think about the strategy to disperse the crowd and save his life, his mind began to drift to and fro.
Jocelyn finally looked at her phone carefully, she hoped that there would be an idea that came to her mind but the results were still nil.
Jocelyn then turned her attention towards the crowd, but now no one was there.
He sharpened his sense of sight to ascertain what he saw in the darkness of the alley. But it seems like there is no one left.
He hesitated to enter the dark alley to confirm the truth, but his body was quite surprised to see that there was only blood splattered with no body at all.
"What's? Is he dead?" jocelyn was terrified.
His legs suddenly weakened, weak enough to not even speak at all. Especially when he heard the sneeze - the sound of the shoes that stopped right behind him.
"I really didn't expect to die this fast" he whispered softly to himself.
His heart began to marathon with a rhythm that was becoming more and more. Right after that someone patted him on the shoulder.
"I think you're brave enough for a girl" he said right next to her ear.
His chest felt tight, his breathing began to irregular. His mind was not out of order, Jocelyn had already lost her consciousness by now.
"Isn't this too soon to faint?"
The man asked the person who was right next to him and the man by his side only aimed at his shoulders not knowing.
The man decided to lift Jocelyn's body and take her away.
Well wherever it comes from isn't here as he thinks.
