On a clear morning, the sun was shining brightly. Jocelyn and her family had just finished breakfast. Now he helps his mother to clean the dining table.

Jocelyn stuffed the dishes along with other dirty cutlery into the sink.

The leftover food he set aside and he sorted between that which can be stored and must be put in the garbage basket.

After separating the leftovers, Jocelyn stuffed all the dirty cutlery in the sink into a dishwasher to wash.

His hand moved to push the button, then he continued to clean the kitchen and once finished, he immediately approached his parents who were sitting on the sofa.

He said hello and sat next to his mother who seemed to be focusing on enjoying a relaxing time with her father.

Jocelyn took a deep breath before finally expressing what was seeping inside her mind with such a nervous feeling.

"Mom, I know soon I'll be graduating" Jocelyn opened the conversation with a nervous voice and a bad feeling.

"What's the matter, dear?, do you want anything after your graduation ceremony?" Her mother asked happily, for it was rare that Jocelyn would ask for anything.

Especially with nervous tones and stamped sentences. Surely the thing Jocelyn asked for was a big thing, that was how her mother thought.

"You can ask for anything. Do not hesitate so" continued his father assented.

Jocelyn scratched the nape of her neck that did not itch, suddenly she felt confused by what she had to say. Both agreed to listen.

"I want to move and live in Manhattan" jinta Jocelyn hesitated, having finally thought about what she wanted to say carefully.

Both of his parents were stunned to hear the request coming out of their youngest daughter's lips, not knowing how to respond.

"I mean, mom. I am an adult and certainly my age can also enter the working age. So, is that okay if I choose to go to Manhattan?"

"There I'll find a good job and.." Jocelyn's remark did not continue as her mother quickly cut off her words that were even far from finished.

"Not that mother does not allow you, it's just that "the words of Jocelyn's mother also stopped when the father of the youngest daughter interrupted her speech.

"Well if you want to stay there, but promise me you'll visit often!"

In the end, his father agreed to the request of his youngest daughter. But it seems Jocelyn's mother was unhappy with her father's decision that she wasn't even talking about.

Anna looked at Thomas in disbelief. He really did not expect Thomas would make a decision without asking his opinion first.

Anna squinted her eyes hinting at Thomas to discuss this first, but it seemed that Thomas did not care much about his gaze.

Thomas only looked at Anna for a moment, frowning her forehead, indicating that he did not feel there was anything else to talk about.

"Are you serious now?" Anna asked who in the end voiced her disapproval on the matter.

"What to worry about?, Joe is also an adult. He has the right to make his own choice, right?"

Thomas tries to persuade Anna to believe in the decision he made. He also gave a meaningful smile, so that Anna could see how confident she was of the decision.

"You've got to be kidding me!" great-granddaughter Anna smiled lightly.

Thomas frowned cluelessly, he did not feel the decision he had made was wrong at all. In fact, he felt, this decision was what Jocelyn really wanted.

"Do you really not know how dangerous Manhattan is?. Are you beginning to forget what happened to Marco" Anna recalled to Thomas.

"Do you also want your daughter to be one of his victims? Huh uh?"

Anna tries to tell Thomas the worst possible event that could happen when Jocelyn is not in their sight.

"It's not like he's going to be hunted by a killer or whoever it is!"

"After all, he's not the only enemy we have" Thomas tried to explain, but it seems Anna will also insist on her decision.

"If you knew he wasn't the only enemy we had. Then you're aware, too, of what big decisions you've made"

Anna again tries to open up Thomas's mind which instead seems to be a mess for him. Thomas would not listen to it.

"You just drove your own son into the tiger enclosure. Are you going to get that hard, Thomas!"

Anna raises her voice, hoping Thomas will realize that the decision she made was wrong. Very Wrong.

But apparently, Thomas is also right - it really can not be denied anymore. His decision was already unanimous and he had already established his heart with his decision.

"I think you need a break. We'll talk about this again tomorrow" Thomas said to his wife and son as he passed on leaving both.

Anna smiled wryly. She knew exactly how her husband was. The decision he took must also have been carefully thought out.

But still, Anna couldn't accept it, because for whatever reason, Manhattan wasn't a place for the Richards.

There's something that's why the Richards live in Brooklyn, but it doesn't seem like a good time to talk about family secrets, especially with Jocelyn.

Jocelyn looked at her mother who had been silent in her own mind.

He felt bad, because it had caused his parents to quarrel just because of the problem which incidentally is a trivial problem.

His parents are also not the type who will problem trivial things into a big problem. So it is very rare that his parents will fight except for big things.

And just like today, Jocelyn was convinced that there was something they were still hiding from her. But he can't ask that for now.

Jocelyn held her mother's hand sitting right next to her. The shocked Anna became somewhat jolted and looked at her own daughter.

He smiles.

"Not to think about it, I'll talk to you after this. I think you must be soaked because you've been working all day"

Anna said to calm her daughter but Jocelyn shook her head. He feels guilty.

"No. I'm the one who should be apologizing for having made father and mother at odds. I'm really sorry"

Jocelyn is sorry.

Anna simply smiled and stroked Jocelyn's head gently.

"No need to, it's not your fault anyway"

"But ma'am, I really want to move and live in Manhattan. Can't you really think about it?"

The words that came from the mouth of her youngest daughter immediately stopped the smile that had been on her lips.

Anna doesn't like this conversation, especially when it comes to Manhattan. Anna hates.

"It's late now. We can talk about this tomorrow. I'm tired too"

Jocelyn, who noticed the change in her mother's countenance, fell silent. Something feels awkward here.

"Did mom cover something from me?" Jocelyn asked in the end because she could not stand all the curiosity that kept struggling.

Although Anna was actually somewhat surprised by the statement made by Jocelyn, she managed to cover up her shock.

"That's not true sweety. So please don't think of anything like that. I'll go back to the room first. Good night"

Anna kissed her daughter's head and passed to her room and left Jocelyn with all the question marks in her mind.

Something felt awkward and I had to find the answer as quickly as possible. Therefore, it could be one of the clues to what has happened so far.
