The Story of an Early Marriage

The Story of an Early Marriage
The Replacement Raga

The timid crescent moon appeared above the sky of Kediri, at the foot of Mount Kelud. The night accompanied by a breeze of cool breeze is not too friendly for the Earth satellite appearance. Sometimes the frail moon and still very small and premature it appeared drowned toyed with the clouds that were marching, making the atmosphere in this place a little gloomy.

It's almost nine o'clock at night. But this wall was filled with a gripping silence. Activity in the square and wards and the floating land in this padepokan has been stopped since. The offering of fourteen forms I will live in a few moments. My slick mind had fused with the gripping atmosphere of nature.

Senopati Adi Raka has not yet appeared on the veranda of this room since it was called by Eyang Jiwo half an hour ago. Leaving me on the porch alone in a strange place and gripping at night, the beauty of the day wailing seemed lost.

The crescent moon disappeared and a small drizzle had descended to Earth as my fear peaked as a few footsteps rang out from a distance approaching me. I hope it's the footsteps of Senopati Adi Raka who has returned to this room after being summoned by Eyang Jiwo.

It turned out that my guess was wrong, which appeared was Dio and a young woman of Eyang Jiwo's men after I peeked out of the orden window of this room.

"The mistress has come, it's time for the fourteen offerings to begin" he said after I opened the door.

"What do I have to prepare now?" I said a little nervous.

"We went straight to the field at the west end of this Padepokan," who answered the woman who was with Dio.

"Where is Senopati Adi Raka?" I asked this question to Dio.

"There is with Eyang Jiwo on the field," Dio replied to me quickly.

"Just a second! I'll get my jacket first."

I rushed to snatch the leather jacket provided by Senopati Adi Raka. Then followed Dio and the young girl towards the western end of this Padepokan.

Arriving in the field I found that Eyang Jiwo and Senopati Adi Raka were waiting there. At the same time also came both parents Senopati Adi Raka accompanied by Rendy. Shortly thereafter the girl who he said resembled me was also present in this place with her father. The two were accompanied by two young men from Eyang Jiwo's men whom I did not know yet.

We were all gathered in the field with small drizzle that was not too heavy. Each wore thick clothing brought from their respective rooms. Only Eyang Jiwo and his accomplices had thick uniform clothes.

Eyang Jiwo and Senopati Adi Raka stood almost adjacent to the opposite position. They are separated by a small wall similar to a mini-framed punden. On top of the wall I saw a container of water with various flowers. I don't know what that means. It's just that shortly after one of Eyang Jiwo's men drew the flowers with a dipper and splashed the water to all the people who had this drizzling field.

I was also exposed to the spark, a very fragrant smell coming from the flower water from the container made me feel like I was in a very beautiful place and atmosphere. Then one of the men of Eyang Jiwo arranged where we stood. Me and the girl who resembled me stood face to face. The others just stood in the distance. We all stood facing the container above the small wall on this field.
