The Story of an Early Marriage

The Story of an Early Marriage
The Scorching Night

Thousands of specks of rain seemed to be peeping all over my body as I stepped outside the house.  The rain falling down so hard as my thumb made me so cold when I got through the back fence. Only through the back door can I get out of this house. Because if the front door is locked and I don't know who's holding the key.  Usually, every father and mother returned home Mr. Trisno or Bi Gina who always opened the fence.

I began to rain when I stepped through the narrow back gate of the house. The rain that fell as big as a thumb was very heavy, the clothes in the suitcase could have been wet and hit the laptop I kept inside. I don't want the wetness to go to waste, while access to the main road takes about 200 meters.

Everything went awry, if I keep the shade near the back fence, people who work at home can see my actions. There's Mas Rino who lives in this house, he's the nephew of my father who also works in the office and some employees who also live in this house, they occupy the back of the house not far from where I am currently standing.

Or my father who suddenly came home from the wedding of his friend's son, or Bi Gina and Mr. Trisno managed to contact my father, although confined in the warehouse, Mr. Trisno seemed to hold a communication device.

I also hurried to walk to the main road, to stop a taxi to a right place, which is the inn or guesthouse or the nearest hotel from this house.

                                                                        ***

Tonight I really miss Feby Romance, especially when it rains like this. Unable to resist the longing I immediately rushed to Zibran's house, taking him just a walk to the house of Feby Romance. I wish I could see it at a glance. I just looked at his house was happy let alone being able to meet him directly. I'm sure Feby Romance is mine, because the matchmaking is inevitable except the death of one of us.

Good thing my mom let me just enjoy tonight, I just said there was a need to go to Zibran's house, and not say going to Feby Romance's house.

The streets are quiet and deserted because of the rain makes this trip free of traffic jams. There is only a puddle of water at certain points. Not until a matter of hours, I have reached the main road to the house.

I stopped the car not far from Feby's house, suddenly Zibran who was sitting next to me shouted.

"Look at the woman, where are the rainy nights going?"

I immediately noticed the woman, by the side of the road with a large suitcase. Looks like waiting for a ride.

"Crazy. Danger girls night-night like running around on their own,"

"Maybe the woman was driven from her home" Zibran said.

"I tried to get closer to the woman, yes" I said as I drove forward.

"Jeez it's Feby!!!" shout Zibran.

That shout made me pay more attention to it carefully, sure it was Feby. What happened to him, why did he leave the house alone and carry such a big suitcase when it rained like this?

"What should we do?" stiff on Zibran.

"Must be given a ride!" answer Zibran.

I was immediately closer to the position of the founding of Feby, but he suddenly stopped a taxi.

The taxi stopped and Feby got into the taxi.

"Don't go to the guy on the youtube video" I said slowly.

"We'll just follow the taxi's direction to where it's headed!" advice Zibran.

"Sure!" my answer.

I was driving this car following the taxi that Feby was riding in, I was expecting his safety ahead of the day of our meeting. Many crimes can threaten anyone, whether women travel alone in the middle of this blind night.

What exactly happened to Feby Romance so he went indoors in the middle of the night and was in this kind of heavy rain? A thousand questions filled my head. This is also related to our engagement plans that are soon to happen.

"Look! feby's cab got into the hotel's parking lot!" Zibran.

I immediately stopped this vehicle.

"That means Feby's staying at that hotel tonight,"

"Yes" I answered."I need to make sure what's going on and who Feby's staying with, if we need to stay here."

He got out of Feby's taxi and headed to the hotel lobby, and he went to the reception room, apparently asking for a room. There was no one else waiting there, meaning Feby had indeed come alone. Shortly thereafter Feby, assisted by the hotel attendant, brought his suitcase to the elevator, apparently to the hotel room he had booked.

I rushed to the reception room, asking for hotel room availability.

"Is there still an empty room, Mba?" many quick.

"Sorry, all the rooms are fully occupied" replied the hotel receptionist in her chauffeur.

I can only slow down, and I'm curious. " Wouldn't anyone cancel tonight's inn, we both need a place to stay" I asked.

"Until now no one has cancelled" replied the receptionist again.

Means the hotel room that Feby booked was the last one.

"Try checking once again Ma'am," I asked still curious.

The hotel clerk checked his computer screen again.not long after he shook his head, "Sorry Mas, everything was filled. Later if there is a cancel I will call Mas, may ask for his phone number!" the hotel official said again.

I nodded and gave my phone contact immediately.

"I'll wait until 12pm in the loby, yes Ma'am,"

"Please if that's what you want" the hotel attendant replied.

Zibran and I immediately waited in the reception room. I hope Feby will be seen in this area or get off and we can say hello to each other. But not ten minutes before I sat down, the phone in my pocket rang loudly. It was from my mother.

"Hello Mother!"

"Still in Zibran's house?" ask mom.

"Mother I'm on.." I haven't had time to reply to mom's questions, my conversation has been cut.

"Hurry home! it's night!" mother's orders. Then mom cut the call.

"However?' ask Zibran next to me.

"My mom told me to go home."

"Why don't you come straight, about this, won't you and Feby be betrothed, just tell me you saw Feby at this hotel" Zibran said.

"I want to say that, but my mom turned off the phone, how should I be?"

"Try to call your mother or whoever it is at home, there are many maids in your house" Zibran advised again.

"But it's late at night, Zib. Almost mid-night, are they still not asleep,"

"Try it!" pinta Zibran again.
