The Will of Adi Surendra

The sad faces of everyone who came to the funeral. Galen and Rey

"Rey, are you okay?" Galen asked Rey in a calm tone

"I'm fine, brother. We are not close to Dad. All this time we become his children just to do our duty to learn and do a good job. So I guess ... It'll be easy to get through"

"What if I leave you?" Galen asked with a curious look

"Otherwise if I lose you, I don't know what I'm going to do. Since I was a kid I have been used to you. I guess if you don't exist. I won't have a purpose in life" Rey replied with a sad bow

"Where are you going? You're gonna leave me alone?" Rey now seems curious as to where Galen is going

"I'm not going anywhere. I just want to know your answer. I was planning to leave this family because my promise to Dad was done"

"I'll go with you!" Rey interrupts when Galen says he is leaving the Surendra family

"of course. I'll take you out of this family" Galen said with a gentle smile

"Alright, because all have gathered then I will read the will given by the late Mr. Adi" Mr. Adi's personal lawyer immediately took attention while all were sitting in the family room after the funeral. After all the attention was on him he started to open the will and read it

"In his letter Mr. Adi said that he loved all his children, both his son and his adopted son. He hopes you get along and protect each other. As for the management of the treasure he would divide according to his ability. He gave the main house and all the villas he owned to his two children Adnan and Astria. While the company will be given to Galen and also Rey for them to manage"

"What?! How can we only get homes and villas while Galen and Rey get full control over the company?" Adnan immediately interjected and insisted on opposing Galen and Rey's granting of power over Surendra's company

"Repush brother. Sorry sir, Rey and I decided to leave this family. We were adopted by my father as children and after my father was gone, we didn't think we had the right to stay in this house" Galen spoke calmly to his lawyer and his two foster brothers

"But you are the majority shareholder of the company at the moment. Mr. Adi entrusted this decision in my hands directly to deal with the matter of division. If you both refuse this, then I have the right to hire someone else to handle the company under my supervision and donate the proceeds to the orphanage" Adi's lawyer explained calmly

Everyone looked at each other while whispering. Rey and Galen are not least surprised by what their adoptive father decided

"How is this brother? When I was there, Adnan and Astria didn't like us and thought we were going to take their treasure. They were just being nice after they both got into trouble. If we take their company .. then they'll think that we instigated the father before" Ret whispered with Galen and negotiated the decision they'd take

"You're right Rey. That's what I'm worried about and I'm sure they'll hate us even more. I don't understand why you're doing this anyway?" Galen agrees with Rey about their concerns

"Then what are we going to do? If we accept it then Adnan and Astria will come back to hate us. If we reject it then the results of our hard work so far can be destroyed if held by others who are not necessarily trustworthy"

"We leave it to the two of them. We'll follow what they want"

Adnan and Astria stared at each other before they answered Galen's question

"We want you to accept it. We don't want our family company to be taken over by someone else we can't necessarily trust. We've known you since childhood. At least we know that our family company will be well taken care of by the two of you" Adnan replied in a calm manner even though no one knew that both of his hands were clenched tightly

"I also agree with what my sister said. We are indeed a family so it would be better if you are in control of the company than anyone else" Astria agreed to what Adnan said

Galen and Rey turned to each other again "Well, we agree. We will still manage the company but Mr. Adnan and Mr. Astria will still receive the results of the company's loyalty as before" Galen gave an opinion to lawyers so that there are no problems in the future

"It doesn't matter because they are indeed the subsidiaries of the company's owners. And you can give them the due diligence" Mr. Adi's lawyer agreed to Galen's opinion

Everyone nodded their heads in agreement with what had been agreed upon

"Sister really agrees if Galen and Rey become the successors of the company? It should be us whose son inherits the company. They were both just orphanage children raised and educated by the father" Astria grumbled at Adnan regarding the results of the reading of the will after everyone left

"I know but we can't do anything. If we reject the results of the will that the father gave then it is certain that we will lose the company completely, because the management will be given to others" Adnan replied in a calm manner

"then ...what are we going to do now?" Astria asked with a confused face

"We will find a way to be able to get the rights to the company, because the one who must be the successor to the Surendra family is us. Not an outsider"

At night at Galen and Leah's house

"Sister, are you sure you just accepted the will? I felt like this was going to end up with a problem" Lea asked Galen as they were together and Rey had returned home

"I know, but if we don't accept it then the company will be given to others to manage.  And that will make them hate us even more. We both used to deal with their hatred, but now I have you to protect. I can't take a risk that might jeopardize your safety and that of our baby-to-be" Galen spoke as he gently stroked Leah's large belly

"Well, I believe in the decision you made. Brother doesn't have to worry about me. I have absolutely no activities and just stay at home, there's no way anyone can harm me while at home" Lea smiled gently to calm Galen down

"Thank you"
