The Rising Of The Mage

The Rising Of The Mage
Chapter 9's

The day changed and now they went to Luin's shop to buy various food. The seller immediately asked Yudi

"There's nothing about buying a lot of food, let alone buying a spatial ring as well. Do you intend to go to a place I would recommend?"

Yudi who was grabbing fresh citrus fruit, turned to Luin and replied.

"Ah if that, I intend to go to the Pati Alas with Goobu."

Hearing Yudi's reply who was acting ordinary, as if assuming the forest was ordinary Luin immediately ambushed.

"Oi don't you know at all, about the Forest?"

Goobu who stole their conversation immediately came, with his face down as if guilty of not explaining about Alas Pati properly.

"Don't blame him, I asked you to take me there because my people are waiting for my return."

Luin immediately glanced at the Hobgoblin, his head was already thinking about the possibility that the monster would make so he immediately charged over.

"Are you using his kindness to bring him into danger, listen monster! I don't like you using the kindness my friend has."

Luin knew that Hobgoblin's words did not lie, because if he lied the slave seal would be active because of his actions. However, he was still worried because he knew what kind of place Alas Pati was.

"Goobu is aware that what is being asked is over the limit, but allow Goobu to meet my people so that they can get out of there. Also so that they can start a new life."

"But still you're bringing my friend in danger!"

Yudi who heard Luin yelling at Goobu despite being honest, immediately grabbed her shoulder to stop her actions.

"Oi, he didn't force me. The decision to follow him was my desire to bring him together with his people."

"But-"

Luin did not continue with the words because, Yudi's countenance changed as he had first met her.

"If you find out that your loved one is alive, then you'll pay whatever you want to meet him. In front of me was someone who wanted to meet the people he loved. If I ignore her request, am I not a heartless person, Luin?"

Although Luin's mouth twitched but not a single word came out, his emotions seemed to stir between worry and concern. For not finding what he could do to stop Yudi, so only one thing he said.

"Currently, whatever happens, come home safe. Goobu Oi! I'm sorry for what I said just now."

Goobu immediately replied, "no problem, Luin! I didn't put your words into my heart"

Luin took a sigh of relief, then he said again to the Hobgoblin with a warm smile.

"Give my regards to your people and make sure you take good care of your master!"

"Yes!"

Yudi smiled looking at their interaction, having obtained what was required. They immediately set off, Yudi handed Luin a letter and whispered to her.

"Why should I? Just tell me for yourself!"

"I can't do it, please! After I get home from there I'll apologize to her."

His temple trembled from receiving troublesome things, from the person he picked up.

"Ah well I will tell you, make sure you prepare an excuse so that she can accept it."

"Of course I'll prepare, thank you for the help and supplies."

After saying that Yudi looked at Goobu, both of them nodded indicating that their preparations were ripe and turned around to leave.

"Then we leave!"

Luin, who was holding the object that Yudi had given, looked at the old backs of the two people, which were getting smaller. He then exhaled, to let go of his worries.

"That child is very troublesome, no matter what happens make sure to go home safely Yudi."

After monologuing Luin doing his daily activities as a merchant. From a place not far away, the person in black robes immediately disappeared in the wind.

Just before he was completely lost by the wind that made his body vanish, he slowly muttered something.

"Targets have been identified, ready for an ambush."

Then the person vanished completely like dust, somehow Luin felt a premonition that someone was watching before.

"My feeling is still worried, even though I let them go."

...-Back on Yudi-...

The two had already reached beyond the borders of the royal capital Kutai, they followed the path without any chatter at all. Then the two find a branching road that has the option of going forward, turning right and turning left.

"Where should we go?"

"We go to the right. On this road we will find a village, from there the journey to Alas Pati is 4 km. So it'll take two days to get there, because we'll get to the village that afternoon."

Yudi who heard Goobu's explanation nodded and responded.

"Because I'm directional blind, I leave the guide to you. So don't let me get lost, master guide!"

"Yes!'

Goobu does not believe that his Master is blind, if circumstances separate them then it is certain that he will be lost and do not know the direction back.

"Wouldn't we just go there?"

"Eh why?"

"I'm afraid we're separated on the street and you don't know where to go back!"

Gaining such a remark Yudi curled the corner of the lips, his hands pinched his chin and his eyes radiantly stared at Goobu. Getting such treatment, the Hobgoblin immediately cleared his throat.

"Of course, the decision is still absolute in your hands, sir!"

"That's right, if I think it's better to cancel. The place is too far away and can make me lost and not be able to return? What if suddenly I was attacked by robbers or wild animals like the other day. Anything could happen?"

When he heard what Yudi said, somehow in Goobu's heart there was a strange feeling that seemed to curse him for saying so.

Though this was his chance to meet his people, as his master said he would pay anything to meet the people he loved so much.

'But why would I say such a silly thing.'

Yudi silently watched the attitude of his slave, the face of him seemed to regret what he had said before.

He also found that Hobgoblin's hand was clenched, from which Yudi concluded that Goobu had really made up his mind.

"I'm a coward and a weak Goobu, but I want to be able to help as much as I can. So even if there's a bad possibility on the way, let's cut it all down to get your people back."

Something in Goobu's heart immediately turned warm, upon hearing what his Master had just said. His face changed into a smile, from the previous one being anxious.

"Goobu is very grateful for the kindness of the lord, after my business is done I will leave the king's office to one of them. Then next, I'll follow you wherever you go!"

Amidst the happiness that his master was still willing to help despite knowing the danger that awaits, Goobu took his oath of loyalty to the Master if they managed to meet his people.
