The Rising Of The Mage

The Rising Of The Mage
Chapter 3

"What did you get today?"

I slightly curled the corner of my lips as the sentence was thrown from Sophie's Mother, then I proudly took out all the drop Items I got.

"This is what I got today, mother!"

Sophie's mother was so shocked when she saw what I got, her eyes still hadn't blinked looking at the drop item on the table. His gaze continued to point towards the magic stone.

I immediately picked up the magic stone and Sophie's mother's face looked embarrassed, as if she realized that I knew she was staring at her.

"I'm sorry if I looked at him too much, so what would you like to sell?"

"It doesn't really matter if you look at her, because I also intend to give it to you."

"Gee!"

He was surprised when I said that. It was my intention so anyway, I knew that maybe this thing was valuable. But, it would be better if the one who has more understanding of magic.

"What do you mean?"

He asked again, my goodness how many times I have to tell him. Alright then, I better hand it over properly.

"Mother! I give this stone as a gift, it's because what you've given me is much more valuable. After all, this stone doesn't seem to suit me."

The magic stone was purple, otherwise the one element that represented the color purple was lightning. While I am a user of the fire element, so that is why that element is not suitable for me.

"Magic stones are precious, I can't accept a gift like this. Moreover, this stone, has a special effect to improve the status."

A stone with special effects, I've never heard of it. All I know is that the stones only have elements that match the magic of this world.

"What magic stone also has something other than magic enhancement in it. All I know is, magic stones are just to increase the power of the magic belonging to its user."

Sophie's mother shook her head as I said what I knew, then she took the magic stone. For a moment, he looked at her, and then put her back on the table.

"This stone has the effect of increasing the feelings of those around him. In other words, it can help you approach people you just met."

So there's that effect, too, even though I know it. The desire to give the stone to him will still do.

"Isn't that great for you, that way every visitor who comes can be more familiar with you. The ability of the stone is very good, for those who always meet new people."

After hearing what I said he seemed touched, then took it with a taste of haru. I'm glad he accepted it.

"Thank you Yudi!"

"Together and what about the other stuff. How much are you gonna pay, Mom?"

He stored the magic stone and began to calculate the price, for some other drop items. After careful counting he looked at me.

"Everything 65 Silver plus 24 Copper. That's the price I can give you. How's it?"

I nodded when I heard the price, then he handed over the amount of money that had been mentioned. When I saw the money, I was so happy, because I finally had supplies for a few weeks.

Then I gave up 5 silver, to pay off the debt from the book I bought this morning.

"This is a debt for the book I bought this morning."

"Mother Sophie, it was a gift I bought this morning. Please accept, however the book has helped me. So, let me pay for the book properly."

His face became anxious, afraid that he might have burdened me. I don't want this to make the future bad, so it has to be confirmed.

"I don't feel burdened, please take it!"

As I pleaded for the umpteenth time he exhaled, then took the 5 silver I had given him.

"Other times if you need something just say it, I'll be happy to help you."

That's what I want to hear, now I'm so happy to have a new home. Although not yet official, at least in the future I can count on Sophie's mother.

"Thank you for the warm welcome. Oh yeah, can I order a simple chain shirt?"

"Oh I see, as Witches we are vulnerable to attack. If wearing a chain shirt, it would at least reduce the injuries received."

Even without being explained by me, he already understood what I wanted from ordering the chain shirt. Sophie's mother is reliable.

"I happen to have an acquaintance with Blacksmith, I'll see if she has one that suits you."

"Woah I'm so happy to hear that, and then do you have a solution for me going forward?"

Sophie's mother then looked at me, judging from head to toe. After feeling enough he nodded, then turned to look for something.

After finding what he was looking for, he turned the body, in his hand there is now a box. I don't know what's in that box.

"This is what you need, a complete set of witch supplies. I also added a new magic book for you, named Fireball and Fireburn. I'm sure your level has gone up, because hunting wasn't yesterday."

The items offered were not bad consisting of a pair of gloves, a pair of shoes, a red lionting, as well as the two magic books he mentioned.

"How much?"

"Since you've given this old man something good, I'll give you 20 silver."

Not bad, the magic book should have a higher price than before. Since I've gained her trust, I think discounts like this are good too.

"Well, I accept your offer!"

I handed him 20 silver, then put on what he just bought. The materials used were very convenient, I guess now I can proudly call myself a Witch.

"Thank God for the fit, I think there's only one more problem to solve."

The problem is, does he have other solutions. Is it possible that this suit was given, to convince people that I'm a mage.

"Then, what problem should I solve?"

Sophie's mother smiled as I asked like that, I don't know if there was anything funny in the question just now.

"A Magician must have a partner to make a gap, after all while reciting a spell you are in a vulnerable state of attack. Therefore a partner is needed, to withstand the attack on you and also to give a gap."

I didn't think that far, what he said was right I needed a partner. The reason I survived today was because my opponent was indeed relatively weak.

But in case, suddenly there appeared a monster stronger than me. Then I can be sure I'm going to die, however I don't want that to happen.
