Chapter 6

The next day, Alexa put her face back on. He tried to cover his thick eye bags, which were caused by crying all day.

Alexa intends to visit her best friend at Xavier's residence. Alexa clearly knows that Vanessa must have lived in the luxurious house that Xavier used to live alone, because the woman has now become the man's legal wife.

It feels like Alexa is curious about what these newlyweds are doing. He already had some plans to surprise his best friend.

“We'll see, to what extent you will survive, Vanessa,” he said with a grinning smile.

Xavier fumbled his mattress with his eyes closed. He was looking around for something because he had felt certain before, if there had been someone sleeping with him next to him.

Not finding the person he was looking for, Xavier immediately opened his eyes, and immediately sat pensively on the bed. “Where is Vanessa? Isn't ... He was with me last night? We're married, right? Wedding yesterday was ... not a dream right?” Xavier wondered for himself.

Jane had taken care of Xavier long enough because really, Alexa as his wife never took care of everything for her own husband in the life that Jane lived so far.

Xavier, who had been rubbing his eyes and gathering his consciousness, was now looking towards his wife. He got up and approached Vanessa.

“Darling, why didn't you wake me from earlier? Why shower yourself? We should be able to take a shower together, right?” ask this man while peeping his wife's cheek.

Xavier looked back at Vanessa's face in the reflection of the mirror before him. Obviously, his wife's body is so stiff. “Why you? Are you ... uncomfortable with me?” Slowly, he let go of his embrace.

Alexa turned her back, and looked at her husband who was still standing behind her. “You should shower soon. Today, you went to work, right? Last time your assistant called, and I accidentally answered him,” said Jane who deliberately drove this man away subtly.

Xavier frowned. He should not have left for work because he was still on leave after marriage. But if until his assistant calls in person like that, there must be something important going on in his company.

“You should have said that from earlier. Alright, I will be ready soon,” said this man while peeping his wife's forehead in a hurry. Xavier immediately entered the bathroom.

It did not take long for Xavier to prepare, because Jane had prepared all the needs of her husband. Xavier feels lucky to be treated like a king by his own wife. He smiled and came back to kiss the woman.

Hearing that sentence, it clearly makes Jane so fly. His heart was flowery, not expecting that the man he admired so much, now even praised him. Jane was embarrassed.

Jane can breathe again. “Luckily she's leaving soon,” murmured this woman.

Just as Jane was about to enter her house, she suddenly saw a car entering her porch, and stopped in front of her. ‘Who is it?’ Jane wondered to herself.

Alexa got out of the car. Jane looked up. It still feels not used to seeing the person who had slapped him passing by in his current life.

“Alexa? W-why did you come so early in the morning like this?” ask Jane to be curious.

“Hey! Don't you like me approaching you? Anyway, Xavier I saw just left right?” Alexa pointed at Xavier's car with her eyes out.

“I-iya. He went to work. There's a sudden call,” Jane replied.

“You must be lonely, right, Vanessa? Can I enter the newlyweds' house?” alexa satirized with a smile teasing her best friend. He still shows his friendly attitude to his best friend, because he does not want Vanessa to suspect him.

Jane obviously couldn't resist. “Ah, yes. Come inside. I am alone,” said this woman while allowing Alexa into her house.

Jane didn't expect Alexa to come this early. All night he had trouble contacting her. Jane also felt this was the right opportunity, so that she could invite chat and pry the true nature of the cruel woman.

“Oh yes, I'm sorry .. Last night I didn't pick up your call. I've been sleeping from exhaustion after preparing for your wedding. So, what's the matter, actually? Did something happen?" ask Alexa with an innocent-looking attitude.

"Ah no, I just .. last night I couldn't sleep. Then I thought I wanted to talk to you. I'm sorry if I've been bothering you." Jane tried to find an excuse.

"Hmm? How strange. Shouldn't you be busy the first night? Why call me?” tempt Alexa while nudging Vanessa's shoulder.

"No, I .. I haven't done it." I don't know why Jane even spoke honestly about this. After all, she felt bad for Alexa because all she knew, this woman in her life was actually the wife of her current husband.

This clearly makes Alexa wide shocked to hear it. "What's? Did I not hear wrong? Why haven't you guys done it?” ask Alexa who did not expect to hear this news. But anyway, Alexa was happy, because it turned out Xavier had not touched it.

"I'm just not ready. I reasoned I was menstruating. But luckily Xavier appreciated my decision. I know this may sound evil, but I want to do it when I'm really ready" said the woman in her honest words.

Jane was even confused by herself. ‘Why did I speak honestly to Alexa? Anyway, why am I telling him this?’ jane's mind is getting clueless with her body right now.

In fact, this makes Alexa's mind so it has its own plan. He was really happy because there was still a little chance for him to take Xavier from Vanessa.

“Mmm ... what if you guys ... honeymoon first? Maybe you need quality time to build closeness again after a long time apart. I have a voucher to stay in Bali. This is the best hotel there. Let's just say this is my gift to you. I hope you can enjoy the first night without feeling awkward,” said Alexa while reaching into her bag, and took out a piece of paper with a star hotel voucher. He then gave it to Vanessa for free.

Jane was doubtful. But he eventually agreed to it and accepted Alexa's gift. "alright. Thank you so much Alexa,” said Jane by force.

But after accepting this, Jane thought again. ‘Do I really have to take Xavier to this place? Or.... Should I go along with Alexa, like she said just now?’ his mind cringes.
