Chapter 8: Night Bus

The clock shows past midnight making the three decide to go home. Olivia who was drunk heavily for forcing 5 glasses, finally she was carried by her lover.

“I can see the mysterious power in your eyes Miss Kira. Destiny will definitely bring us together again.” said Brayen who is still curious about the power of Kirana.

[Note: to hide her identity, Kirana uses the name Kira as a pseudonym. Sounds stupid actually because it uses a pseudonym that is very similar to its real name]

“Oh, did you say that to every woman you met?.” replied Kirana with a big smile.

“Bu..not you misunderstood, I mean…. Aaw aw.” Brayen tries to avoid misunderstandings, but suddenly the woman he is carrying pulls her ears.

“Brayen don't tease my new friend, you playboy.” base

“No Oliv you misunderstood.”

“Hihihi..” Kirana can only laugh giggling at the couple's behavior.

In front of the Bloody Gear workshop, the three parted ways. Brayen offers to provide protection by sending one of his men to Kirana, but the woman refuses.

While walking alone leaving the slums, Kirana felt that she was being followed. With detection magic he found a large number of people were stalking him.

“You guys are lucky because I've been so sleepy.” Kirana murmured.

The woman then walked towards the narrow alley which was a dead end. Seeing that the robbers who were intending to take all the money Kirana got felt very lucky.

“Hahaha. You make this easier” said one of the robbers.

But by the time they reached that narrow alley, Kirana had disappeared.

“Sial where is the woman? Search him must not be far from this place.” frantically all the robbers are looking around, while Kirana who they are looking for is walking in the air as if stepping on transparent glass.

“Hoam... I must quickly increase the amount of mana in order to use instant teleportation.” Kirana continued walking with her eyes closed due to being too sleepy.

He did not want to use the ability to fly because taku instead the risk of accidents would be greater.

At a deserted bus stop, a 14-year-old boy was waiting for a bus. Time has shown past midnight making it impossible for a bus to come.

Akira takes part in a battle at the Colosseum because he needs extra money for his research, and he also tests new tools that he created himself.

“Hemmm... It's a pity that I didn't win many bets.” Akira said as he stared at the copper Mastercard containing the money from the fight.

“I heard there are two women who managed to win a lot of bets, I am very envious of them.” Akira thought what he could create if he got the money the women earned.

“Haaah... Maybe I can create a power gear better than the one currently on the market.” thought Akira while swinging his legs, a natural action for a child his age.

Akira looks at the watch on his arm and realizes that soon the bus will arrive. But the boy was suddenly startled by the arrival of a girl who was walking while asleep.

But that's not what surprised Akira.

“Why is he walking in the air, is he a ghost?.” thought Akira was back to remember if this time it was almost one in the morning.

Coming from the sky, the girl slowly descended until she finally arrived at the bus stop. He sat in an empty chair not far from Akira.

“He's an ordinary man,” Akira said after seeing the girl closer.

“But how can he walk in the air? Is it a special ability or a magic that has not existed before?.”

Akira becomes very interested in the girl's ability, she intends to talk to him but seeing if the girl is asleep makes Akira undo his intentions.

Not long after, a bus driven by a pocong arrived at the stop.

If in the past everyone would have run to see a bus driven by astral beings like ghosts.

But in the present it has become common. Many public transport companies contract with ghosts to work as night drivers.

The bus stops and the entrance opens, the girl is still asleep as she starts walking up the bus and Akira follows her from behind.

There were a few passengers on the bus, but no humans there.

Akira took a seat right in front of the girl, the two of them facing each other now.

She is confused about what to do, letting the girl go or being forced to wake her up so she can get her into a discussion about magic and technology.

“……”

Akira's face became difficult as he recalled the reaction of the people when the boy spoke about who he liked.

“They always sleep when I talk.”

Akira looked at the face of the girl sitting right in front of him, he thought the girl was one year older than him.

“Maybe she is still first grade High School, could she be the same school as me. If that's true then it could be that he'll be Junior later.”

Akira decides to take a picture of the sleeping girl in front of him so that it can be tracked. Akira did not want to let go of the girl in front of him for using magic that he had never seen before.

But something strange happens, every time Akira takes a photo the result is always blurry.

“It is impossible what this tool is broken?.” he tried to find out what went wrong, several times the camera he created himself tried to fix but Akira did not find any fault.

“Alright let's try one more time,” Akira back to point the camera forward however...

“Eh... where did the girl go?.” the girl who wanted Akira's photo has vanished, “What could she really be a ghost?.” thought.

“Basic of perverted boy, did you know taking photos of others secretly is illegal?.”

‘What.... when did he move next to me?.’

Akira was so surprised when he found the girl he wanted to photograph was suddenly right next to him.

Before Akira said anything, the girl first leaned her head against Akira's shoulder, leaving the boy with no idea what he should do.

“Ne. neesan..”.

“Hemm... lizard stop. please wake me up if it's up.”

Without being able to do anything Akira can only surrender his shoulder as a pillow for the girl.

The boy did have some strange conditions when dealing with the girls.
