Chapter 13: The Change of Race

Everyone fell silent after Kirana said that Cecilia would wake up (Awakened). They were afraid that what Kirana said would come true.

All Hunters know what Awakened is.

No words can describe about those who have awakened other than ‘Beyond common sense’.

“Omong empty what are you talking about fucking women! If you want to try to scare me then find a more reasonable reason.” The baron was furious that he had believed Kirana's words. So did all the members of Gank Wongasu.

“Basic mad woman, where perhaps a mutant experienced a revival.”

“Sial this is an insult!.”

“You think how many people have made a resurrection, not a single mutant of them has risen.”

Everyone was angry even Regina and Cecilia herself put on a face of disbelief at Kirana.

“Wall, the Awakened of the mutant race rarely show their whereabouts because they hide from people like you, or another reason is caused by the media that does not want if the whole world knows that even mutants can experience a resurrection.”

Kirana gave a reasonable reason, but still everyone did not want to listen.

“Cih, that nonsense is just an excuse.” Baron's words are confirmed by all his friends.

“Well, it's your right to believe it or not. What matters now...” Kirana flicked the match she had been holding towards the Baron.

The man did not try to dodge because he assumed that just a small fire from a wooden match would not be able to injure him that they were a C rank Hunter.

But who would have thought if the Baron's mind would be a fatal mistake.

“The most important thing now are the two of them in my protection, [Fire Soul].”

“Gyaaaaaaa!.”

A huge blaze engulfed the Baron's entire body. The man's screams echoed in the dark night, the friends could only stare at their minds digesting what was really happening.

“The fire will not kill you, but it will not be extinguished before I allow it.” said Kirana who stepped on the collar of Regina and Cecilia. Seeing that Kirana had helped the two made them not feel that Kirana was going to do evil, Regina still remained on guard.

“All the wounds disappeared, [Cureja].” a green magic circle emerged from Kirana's hands directed at Regina and Cecilia, then in an instant all the wounds of the two women disappeared.

“Instant healing? It's better than any healing skill I've ever seen.” Regina was amazed by the healing magic that Kirana used.

Kirana healed both women. The baron that was still burning continued to roar in pain, several times his friends tried to extinguish the fire by pouring water but the pseudo did not work, the fire was even widened when some members of the Wongasu guild also burned.

“They are like chickens that have lost their heads.” Cecilia said as she watched dozens of Wongasu guild members running in all directions with flames burning through their bodies.

“Hiya black stay away.”

Another unburned guild member tried to avoid his burning friend. Some members who thought the fire would be extinguished if Kirana died they tried to attack the white woman with the skull mask.

But whatever attack they did never managed to touch it thanks to a transparent wall that protected the three women.

“They say if magic is a cursed power isn't it? But why do they use magic instead?.” Karina asked as she saw some people attacking with various magic like lighting bolt, wind Arrow, darkness ball and various other magic assortment.

“Arrrrg pain pain pain this hurt so much kaaaaaan!.” with the burning body of the surviving Baron running towards Kirana and the others.

The baron thought if he had to die then it would at least bring the two mutant women. The oil that the Baron had poured on Regina and Cecilia would burn in an instant if the baron touched them.

“Wow you are really very dedicated sir!.” Kirana was so amazed by the Baron who was still thinking of a way to kill the two women he protected.

“But just get there.”

Using only one hand Kirana strangled the Baron which made the human burn it was unable to reach Regina and Cecilia.

“You were so proud to say you were going to kill mutants, right. Then what if you become one of us.”

Kirana extinguished the fire that burned the Baron. When the fire was extinguished all the survivors were greatly shocked by the terrible conditions of the Baron. A badly broken burn made his entire skin charcoal, there were still embers on his stomach while his eyeballs had disappeared somewhere.

“While in such conditions he is still alive? What a terrible magic.” Regina was horrified to see the magic Kirana used. Meanwhile Cecilia looked at Kirana with great admiration.

‘Can I be that strong?’ cecilia asked in her heart.

Kirana strangled the harder the neck of the already helpless Baron, making the Baron open his mouth wide trying to breathe.

Next Kirana bit her own index finger to bleed. But in contrast to ordinary blood, the blood that came out from Kirana's wounds had a dark blue color.

Everyone was shocked by the sight, but no one dared to say anything.

“Now drink and show what kind of monster is in your soul!.”

Once Kirana's blue blood entered her throat something happened to Baron's body. Kirana immediately let go of her snack and saw what reaction it had caused.

“Aaaaaaa..”.

The baron let out a loud scream as the pain he was experiencing right now was more painful than being burned alive. The baron felt all his bones shift, then felt broken but then spliced again as if his body was being rearranged.

“Groaaar.” Aumans rang out when the late Baron had made it through his tribulation, now that he had been reborn into the race he hated the most.

“I... This is impossible, how could he turn a person who was about to die into a mutant with just one drop of blood?.”

“It's not ordinary blood, it's blue blood. He must be a noble.”

While his friends were still arguing, the Baron whose body had turned into some sort of large blob, or rather a giant slim took on a human form.

The baron who was already not feeling any pain due to the race change, stood silently staring at the members of the Wongasu guild with thick saliva dripping from his mouth.

“Go, you must be very hungry after everything you've been through.”

As if Kirana had released the chains binding the beast, the Baron immediately ran towards the Wongasu guild members for dinner.

The intersection regained its composure when only 4 people were left there, there were three females and the last one was a giant human-shaped blob, from which the blob occasionally appeared the hands of humans trying to get out from within, then there were dozens of faces with expressions of pain occasionally appearing on the belly of the lump.

“Well, it looks like the problem here is done.” Kirana said. Then the three women and one giant slim left the place.

“I think it's time for dungeon.”
