The Return of the White Skull Princess

The Return of the White Skull Princess
Chapter 2: Back

Triiii.

The noise from the alarm clock made the girl who was still asleep disturbed from her sleep.

“Ngeeehhh... very noisy! Sekhomet kill whatever makes that sound!.” orders the girl while pulling the blanket to cover her whole body, she again tries to sleep.

Triiii!

But nothing happened, the alarm clock still made a noise.

“By my mother's name, it's best for someone to stop that noise or I'll get mad!.”

For the second time the girl tried to get someone to stop the voice that had been bothering her.

But as before nothing happened the noise still bothered him.

“Okay you guys are asking for it.”

Furious the girl got up from the bed and immediately raised both of her hands to the sky.

“Come to my loyal servant Golden Knight!.”

Triiii...

The situation of the room was still noisy with the sound of the alarm clock while the girl was still standing on the bed with her hands raised upwards without anything happening.

“What... what happened? Why didn't the golden knight appear, could he have betrayed? Impossible.” He looked confused when he realized everything he was doing was failing.

First, he tried to use magic but to no avail.

Second, the girl tried to call out some names but no one came.

“What really happened, what place is this?.” The girl started to panic.

He tried to calm himself down and look around. A news somewhat familiar to his memory, but you remember it is not clear.

A wooden cabinet, school uniform Kirana's name, then a clock that still makes a noise.

Seeing the alarm clock was instantaneous the girl immediately took it and intended to slam the tool because it was too upset by the noise.

But his hand stopped, as if remembering something the girl had calmed down again. He pressed the off button to turn off the alarm clock and put it back in its original place.

“It's impossible isn't it?.”

The girl sat down beside the bed. He had a hard time believing that what was on his mind had really happened.

“Alright let's prove whether this is not a dream.”

He walked towards the window and immediately opened it to see the view of the house lined up, in the distance he could see the skyscrapers like a concrete forest, he said, many people traversed in front of his house without any worries on their faces.

A very different sight than he had seen for thousands of years.

Slowly the girl stepped back from the window, she was happy but also scared, she was afraid that all she saw was an illusion.

But his steps came to a halt as he looked at the reflection of himself in the mirror. It was the figure of that girl whom he had long forgotten about.

“This...it's really a reality. I'm back... I'm back to the time before the world was destroyed.”

Filled with happiness the girl cried loudly.

Kirana tried to understand the current situation. He tried to find more information, and the fastest way he thought was through the internet.

“Where is it?.” he tried to find his smartphone but did not succeed. Being annoyed by not being able to find the item she was looking for made Kirana use search magic.

“Search magic is a level 4 magic, should be where I have enough to activate that magic.”

Kirana's eyes glowed green as she activated search magic, with the ability to make Kirana able to find a smartphone that had been found in a pile of dirty clothes.

“Argh....aaah.” suddenly Kirana felt a tremendous headache after a few seconds of activating the search magic. The sudden headache he felt was the effect of whichever was thinning.

“Daddy, using only fourth-grade magic for a few seconds has made me almost faint.” Kirana complained about her untrained body condition.

“Actually what I did when I was in school so that my body was this weak.”

Kirana immediately picked up the smartphone she found earlier. Through the phone, Kirana finds out that she has returned to the year 2322.

“This is the time when I just entered SMA.” Kirana recalls some of the incidents when she went to school, “The worst time of my life.”.

Tired of losing a lot of mana Kirana satisfied to return to sleep in bed. He was speechless staring at the ceiling of the room, Kirana kept thinking about what she was going to do now.

His desire to return to a time when the destruction of the world had not yet occurred had materialized, yet he was precisely at a loss as to what he would do afterwards.

“Do I need to be the hero who will save the world from destruction like before?,” Kirana again remembers her previous life, “No, I do not want to live the same life. What's the point of starting over if it will eventually stay the same.”

Being a hero according to Kirana is really a troublesome job. He wants his life to go the way he wants.

“That's why I should get stronger soon.”

Feeling dizzy in his head has subsided, thought rose from the bed, out of the room and then towards the back garden of the house. The girl sat down cross-legged, closed her eyes and then adjusted her breathing.

Kirana tried to get her body used to using breathing techniques that could increase the amount of mana in her body.

“Haaah.. I think with my current body condition it will take longer than I thought to reach my true strength.”

Kirana continued to practice breathing techniques until the time went fast, did not feel the sky had started to dark Kirana stopped her training.

Feeling hungry Kirana goes to the kitchen to cook dinner, but all she finds is nothing she can eat.

“I forgot if my current financial condition is deteriorating.” Kirana could only sigh heavily.

Both of Kirana's parents have died since the girl was five years old, without help from Kirana's relatives could only rely on themselves to stay afloat.

“Father and mother had left a legacy for me before they died, but they were all taken by a large family. In my previous life I never knew of embezzlement that was done out big, until finally the truth was revealed after the organization I founded started investigating all the family members.”

Knowing that he had been deceived by his own family made Kirana very angry, yet what he could do had all too late the inheritance treasure left behind by his father and mother had been exhausted leaving only a useless sword and crystal ball.

“But who would have thought if the two remaining things would actually change my life.”
