Chapters 27. Lin Chen's Plan

Lin Chen and Elder Lou immediately focused on listening to the explanation from General Rou.

" I'd like to ask you two not to tell anyone about this conversation." Said General Rou looking seriously at Lin Chen and Elder Lou.

Elder Lou immediately promised not to tell anyone, as did Lin Chen who replied with a nod of his head.

The Commander who stood beside the Empress slightly disliked Lin Chen's nonchalant nature with this meeting.

Likewise with the Emperor and Empress, but both of them did not really bother about it which then immediately refocused listening to the explanation of General Rou.

" This has been more than a year, where imperial special forces at the border often see small groups entering our eastern continent. At first we didn't care about the matter, it's just that the small group kept growing until we finally did the investigation." The General paused the explanation, then looked towards Emperor Meng Lou before continuing.

" There are some things that have happened due to the investigation of the imperial special forces, they think we are planning something that violates the treaty between the empires." General Rou took a deep breath.

" We try to explain this misunderstanding so as not to impact the security and comfort of the eastern continent. But all that failed until we realized there was another party who deliberately provoked and took advantage by pitting the eastern continent against some other continent."

Lin Chen himself who was initially unconcerned finally started to get interested in the meeting.

" There will be no smoke if there is no fire." Said Lin Chen calmly staring at General Rou.

Elder Lou finally understood why the tournament that was usually held in the imperial capital had now moved.

" What are they really planning?" The curious elder Lou finally started to open his voice.

Emperor Meng Lou raised his hand, General Rou then retreated backwards allowing the Emperor to continue his explanation.

" I didn't know exactly what they were planning until I finally remembered the events of a few years ago when the empire came upon an elder asking for the western region to be built for the branch sect." Emperor Meng Lou.

Elder Lou frowned in confusion.

" If they wanted to open a branch of a sect why not look for another territory, and hadn't there been a rule that forbade a sect to stand on the territory of an empire?" Elder Lou asked considering how it was not permissible for any sect to be in the imperial territory.

" The elder is right, this is what confuses me. Just like the Heavenly Dragon Sect that was in the sky mountain was in the outer region of the empire but still entered the eastern continent."

The existing regulations strictly forbid the Sect to be inside the imperial territory, it itself in because it will affect the power of an emperor so as to create friction between the Emperor and the Patriarch of the sect itself.

Therefore, the rules forbid the existence of sects that are within the imperial territory so that other sects build power outside the region even though they are still on the same continent.

" There are only two that they're planning." Said Lin Chen staring at everyone who was inside the room.

Everyone immediately turned their eyes towards Lin Chen.

" This is just my thinking. The first they wanted the territory because of something that was in the place, and the second they did plan to destroy this empire by way of pitting and making Meng empire violate the existing regulations." Lin Chen was serious.

Everyone was busy with their own thoughts.

" But both can be right." Lin Chen reopened his voice at a time when everyone was thinking out loud about the problem.

Lin Chen shook his head slowly, then looked at his two eyes.

Everyone frowned looking at Lin Chen's behavior. Until a while later Lin Chen opened both of his eyes.

" They want territory in the western part of the empire because of something they are looking for, it could be resources or other objects that are indeed valuable. This was related to what they were doing right now, the rejection they received made him angry and vengeful until they decided to destroy this eastern continent. A great advantage if their plan succeeds, not only do they gain a little territory but they gain in full this empire." Lin Chen explained calmly.

" I see, what you're saying makes sense." Emperor Meng Lou agreed to what Lin Chen had said.

As well as the others, now they began to understand what was happening in Meng empire.

While the Commander who had previously disliked Lin Chen's nature began to turn into awe with the young man who had just turned a dozen years old.

General Rou who saw the change in the face of the commander only smiled faintly.

" How, have you started to admire him?" General Rou spoke telepathically to Commander Chou.

Commander Chou who got the question from General Rou became misbehaved.

While Elder Lou even though he already knew how Lin Chen was, he was still amazed by his thoughts.

" Daughter, I want to ask you for help." Said Emperor Meng Lou who was now increasingly convinced by Lin Chen who was able to carry out the mission he would give.

Lin Chen shook his head.

" What did I get?" Lin Chen replied quickly.

Emperor Meng Lou smiled hearing Lin Chen's words.

" Whatever you want, as long as we can give it to you."

Lin Chen nodded his head. " I'll think about it again." Said Lin Chen who then immediately got up from his seat.

" I'm willing to step down." Lin Chen gave his greetings to everyone who was inside the room.

Everyone fell silent with their mouths open to see what Lin Chen was doing.

Lin Chen himself only smiled faintly. " Wouldn't the sooner I decide what I want the better? So I resigned myself to look for the thing I wanted before I asked for it." Said Lin Chen who then immediately walked out.

Until the moment of wanting to get out, Lin Chen turned his body back.

" Older, in the glass is something you can use. Hopefully, with my little help, I can make you forget for a moment this complicated problem." Lin Chen pointed at one of the empty glasses on the table.

Once again they were made to gawk at Lin Chen's behavior. While Lin Chen himself had already left the room with a full smile.

" It seems the sky is on my side." Inner Lin Chen who then immediately darted away left the city palace.
