Chapter 26. Gathering

Until not too long later, Lin Chen finally arrived at a building that looked quite luxurious among the other buildings.

" Young master, this is a special place reserved for Emperor Meng Lou and Empress Li Wei. The young master could wait for the Emperor inside with elder Lou." Said the Commander to Lin Chen.

Lin Chen agreed, then the commander immediately called the servant who happened to pass by at the venue to deliver Lin Chen to the meeting place.

" Young master, I'm resigning." The Commander then immediately left Lin Chen with a servant.

" Thank you commander."

The waiter then immediately brought Lin Chen inside the building.

" Young master, let's follow me." Said the servant with respect.

Lin Chen immediately followed the servant into the building.

In a special room.

Elder Lou was sitting with General Rou.

" Old man, how do you know that young man?" General Rou asked Lin Chen.

Elder Lou who had just sipped his drink looked towards General Rou.

" Why did the General ask this?"

" I'm sorry if I ask so many questions, it's just that I see that he has privileges that no one else has." General Rou explained.

" Sometimes curiosity will get us into a difficult position." A voice sounded from behind the door.

Elder Lou and General Rou immediately turned his gaze towards the entrance.

" Lad..." Elder Lou immediately got up from his seat, as well as General Rou.

Lin Chen smilingly looked at the two, then turned his gaze towards the servant.

" Thank you."

The waiter nodded his head, then immediately left the room.

Lin Chen walked towards Elder Lou and General Rou.

" I'm sorry for being so presumptuous before." Lin Chen respectfully paid respect to the two.

Elder Lou and General Rou smiled and did not bother about it. Then General Rou invited Lin Chen to take a seat.

" Good." Lin Chen then immediately sat down.

General Rou started to notice Lin Chen, it made Elder Lou who was beside him feel dislike.

Lin Chen himself was just being nonchalant, then enjoying the tea at hand.

Somewhere else.

Emperor Meng Lou and Empress Li Wei began to leave the tournament arena.

That in itself made everyone start to wonder.

" What's really going on?" One of the elders asked the other elder who was on the bench of honor.

" I don't know that either." One of the other elders chimed in, as did the elders from the other sects who were equally curious about the incident.

Chat from the audience also began to be heard talking about the incident, starting from the departure of Lin Chen who attracted the attention of everyone and now it was the turn of the emperor and empress.

" I hope it's not something complicated." Speak quietly to one of the spectators.

The Mayor's Palace.

In the special room by himself Lin Chen began to impatiently wait for the arrival of the emperor.

" General, how long am I waiting here?" Said Lin Chen staring at the two.

" Look, maybe the emperor is having some business that he can't leave behind." Said Elder Lou trying to calm Lin Chen down.

" What Elder Lou said is correct, please young master wait a while longer." General Rou chimed in.

Lin Chen nodded his head, then closed both of his eyes back.

" Hey. what was she really thinking." General Rou looked towards Lin Chen.

" I hope you're not playing him. Maybe he's just a young man who looks still unstable, but you should know if he's different from the young man out there." Elder Chen spoke via telepathy to General Rou.

" I understand." Reply General Rou, who then immediately rose from his seat to call Emperor Meng Lou.

Lin Chen who was closing his eyes smiled faintly.

" You guys are so naive, I don't care what happens to this empire at all while it doesn't interfere with the existence of people who are precious to me." Lin Chen was insistent.

Perhaps they did not realize that Lin Chen had actually known their intent of inviting himself to this place.

Although Lin Chen was only at the heaven level, but he had advantages that no one else had.

Every time Lin Chen closed his eyes he would focus his attention on the surrounding places. This in itself has indeed been the goal since the beginning which does intend to find a lot of information.

Lin Chen thought that if he wanted to be free to adventure then an information was the main thing for him to decide from where he would start exploring this vast world.

The training that his teacher Qing Long did made him learn to understand life as a cultivator, even though he was only 15 years old did not make Lin Chen a person who was blind and deaf to information.

Lin Chen himself did not understand clearly about himself, as he felt the higher his cultivation level made his insight into this world grow even more.

It was like a memory that suddenly appeared in his brain.

" I feel like something has happened in my life, but I can't remember it clearly. I hope anything doesn't interfere with my future development." Lin Chen sat up with a feeling of uncertainty.

Until the moment Lin Chen was busy with his thoughts, suddenly from the direction of the entrance came Emperor Meng Lou, Empress Li Wei, General Rou and the Commander who had previously invited Lin Chen.

Lin Chen and Elder Lou immediately got up from his seat, then saluted the number one person in the eastern continent.

" Greetings of the Emperor, greetings of the Empress." Said Lin Chen and Elder Lou respectfully.

Emperor Meng Lou and Empress Li Wei smiled by raising her right hand in response.

" Elder Lou-.." The Emperor looked towards Lin Chen.

" Mong Chen." Said Lin Chen introducing himself.

" Look Lin Chen, please enjoy. Sorry for making you wait so long." Emperor Meng Lou said kindly.

Emperor Meng Lou and Empress Li Wei then immediately headed for the place already reserved for the two, General Rou and the Commander himself standing beside him.

" The handsome young man." Inner Empress Li Wei stared towards Lin Chen.

Emperor Meng Lou shook his head slowly understanding what his wife was thinking.

" General." Call Emperor Meng Lou.

General Rou who was standing beside him nodded his head, then stepped forward to begin explaining Emperor Meng Lou's intent of calling Lin Chen and Elder Lou.

" I'm sorry for making you both uncomfortable. I General Rou will start explaining to the two of you the reason Emperor Meng Lou invited the Elders and young masters to come to this place."
