He Has Been Gone

Finally another month passed and it had been three months since Ryan's departure. Those three months were truly hellish for Anna. A sleepless night, crying and missing her husband are things Anna always gets. Finally Anna will say goodbye to all those bad things because Ryan is coming soon. As she is sitting on a park bench, Anna sees Ezra playing with Raylie and accidentally smiles as Ezra is a caring and loving older sister. Ever since Raylie was born, Ezra started acting like a sister who loved her sister more than anything. He didn't even let his sister fall. Anna is very grateful to Ezra for making her job easier, which is to take care of Raylie.

"Madam, there's a guest" Anna heard Uncle Herman's voice. And when Anna looked at him, but his expression was seen as something strange according to Anna.

"I'll see them now" Anna smiled at her butler and stood up and walked into the house. A moment later Anna's blood froze as she looked at the two men at the door. He slowly walked towards them but his eyes were looking for someone else.

"Madam" They greet Anna while taking off the army hat they're wearing. Suddenly Anna's heart felt something bad. He wanted to ask where Ryan was, but he could only shut up because he wanted them to talk first.

"Madam, we're here to deliver a message to you" One of them spoke while looking Anna in the eye. His eyes were sharp and there was no warmth. Not like Ryan.

"Master... Shot in his chest. We lost him" he said, bowing his head.

"what? " Fear took over Anna's heart and her entire body began to shudder in horror at what she said.

"He's not talking about Ryan, is he? " Switch Anna lirih.

"Ryan...? Where's the.. She...? " Anna said with a trembling voice. And even he couldn't speak properly.

"Shoot in the chest? Not likely.. That's not my Ryan" Anna said in her heart. Because his throat felt stuck.

"We lost sir, madam. Master brought this with him in our camp" Anna's whole world seemed to collapse with her every hope and dream. Her throat began to hurt as Anna forced her cries back. Anna looked at the phone the man gave her and slowly raised her hand trembling as she picked it up. Anna looked at the phone and unknowingly her tears fell on the screen of the phone she was holding. Anna bit her lips so hard and looked at the two men in front of her.

"When? " Anna asked. He doesn't believe in that reality. Anna doesn't believe them. Ryan will be back as he promised.

"Yesterday night" said someone in front of him

"Yesternight? " Anna wiped her tears and looked at the phone in her hand. He tried to turn it on but it didn't turn on either. Anna knew the phone was dead because the battery was weak.

"Hey... He said he'd come back. He had promised" Anna said to them. And they just looked down and lowered their heads.

"Did he really leave? Won't come back? " Switch Anna lirih. His heart felt slashed.

"So where's his body? " Anna finally manages to ask but she won't believe them until she sees Ryan's body.

"He fell off a cliff. Master is leading us when this happens. Our men will carry his body today" replied one of the milliter.

"Why did all this happen? Didn't I ask him not to go? Why isn't Ryan listening to me? How could he go that way?" Anna murmured in her heart. The two closed their eyes and covered their faces with their palms and began to sob.

"Mommy... are you crying? " Anna heard Ezra's voice and she immediately wiped away the tears and looked at him. Ezra looked at him with a confused look. She held Raylie's little hand.

"Don't cry Mommy" Ezra said.

How will I be able to live alone without crying.once I know that my husband has left?" Isaac Anna.

"Ryan.you bastard. You're lying" Anna said. She felt angry at her husband for what Ryan had said.

"Madam, we'll let you know when they get here with Mr.'s body. Sorry for all this loss. We're leaving" they said as they turned to leave.

"Wait.. Where's Chris?" Anna asked them, and they looked towards Anna.

"He's wounded. Now they're in the hospital" and then they're gone.

"How could something like this happen? Am I that lucky? " Murmured Anna.

"They said Dad was gone" Anna said slowly. Anna does not know if Ezra can understand her or not, but Anna does not know how to tell them that their father will never come again. Anna is not strong... Anna couldn't make them cry either. Anna is not ready to let go.

"How could he just leave me? " Anna could not speak with her lips, she could only speak in her heart with tears flowing.

"Where? " Ezra asked Anna. Anna could only shake my head. Anna couldn't tell them...

"How is it? They are only children" Inner Anna. She looked at Raylie and found him staring at Anna with his innocent eyes. Raylie is confused and she doesn't even know what happened and something has happened to her father.

"Away. Ezra... Take care of Raylie for a second, baby? Mommy's gonna be out for a second. Mommy is coming soon" Anna kisses both of their foreheads and they nod at her mommy with a smile.

Anna got into the room and quickly changed clothes and put the phone in her hand to charge. After that he walked out of the room. Anna wanted to confirm this news. Anna wouldn't believe it. Ryan's a strong guy and he's not going to go that way. He even learned that his son and wife were waiting for him. Anna leaves the house and asks the driver to take her to the hospital. Anna knew which hospital Chris was staying at, so Anna immediately went there.

As Anna entered the ward, she saw Amelia who was staring at Chris while wiping away her tears. Anna waited for a while, but a moment later Amelia saw me. He smiled at Anna and Anna approached him. He looked towards Chris. He was injured and his body was covered in bandages. Her face was emotionless and the look on her face made my heart flutter.

"Chris, where is he? " ask Anna as Chris' eyes look at her. He clenched his jaw and his eyes turned red.

"Why is he looking at me like this?" Inner Anna.

"Don't look at me like that, just tell me. Where is Ryan? Why isn't she here with you? " Any asked Chris. Chris just shook his head and took his eyes off me.

"He's gone" replied Chris quietly.
