The Midnight Call

After delivering Ezra to school, Anna enters and lies down in the room. He always thought of Ryan. It's only been two hours, but it feels like 10 years haven't met. Anna misses her, misses her husband. A moment later, he heard his phone ring. After seeing who contacted him, Anna picked him up. Apparently Amelia.

"Amelian..." Anna immediately said when the phone connection was connected.

"Why aren't those people looking for someone else for their very dangerous bloody mission? " Said Amelia suddenly. Anna agreed with what her best friend said. Anna gave a long breath. Previously they spent their time quietly and peacefully. But suddenly they came to invite her husband to complete a mission.

"Yes, I agree with you" Ana replied with a hum.

"Are you trying to stop him too? " Ask Amelia.

"Yes, but all in vain" replied Anna. I took a pillow used by Ryan and hugged him tightly.

"Yes, I understand. Then yes" Amrlia said, and then she closed her call. After the call ended, Anna dunked her face in a cushion and inhaled the sweet scent of Ryan's hair deeply.

"Ugggh... I really miss him. And I want it here" murmured Anna.

Time passed, and it was night. After dinner, Anna lulls Ezra and Raylie to sleep. Then he went into his own room and took a shower. He picked up one of Ryan's shirts and used it then climbed onto the bed. Anna was just plain ordinary. But deep down, she was lonely without Ryan. Anna could not be far from her husband. As she was lying down, Anna heard Ryan's phone ringing. Anna immediately looked for him.

"What the hell is this Ryan. Why didn't he bring his cell phone. And is he calling me? " Anna muttered in annoyance. I immediately pulled Ryan's phone out of his pocket. After that, I saw who was calling, and it turned out to be a new number.

"It's late at night like this, who's calling? " Anna muttered to herself. Without thinking about anything else, Anna immediately raised the call.

"Hello" said Anna. But there is no truth at all.

"Hello" Anna repeated to speak again, and there remained no affirmation. Anna decides to turn off the phone. But when he was about to press the dead button, someone's voice sounded.

"Go to sleep" said someone. Anna's heart flowered and felt happy when she heard the voice.

"Ryan... How are you doing? I miss you" Anna said. And then I heard Ryan chuckle. Anna really wants Ryan to be next to her right now.

" Did you miss me so much? It's so late at night" Ryan said.

"Have the children slept?" Ryan and Anna asked with a hum in response.

"Whose phone are you using? " Task Anna for her business.

"I bought a new one when I remember not bringing a cell phone" replied Ryan. Anna slid her body over the bed while listening to Ryan's voice. Anna hasn't heard Ryan's voice in years.

"Picture a selfie, and send it to me" Ryan said with a sigh. Anna heard that, but she felt unsure of what she was listening to.

"What's? " Anna asked again because she wasn't sure what she heard.

"Take your picture, and send it to me. I want to see you" Ryan repeated. With certainty Ana's heartbeat became very fast. Why does he feel as if Ryan and himself are lovers with an affair.

"OK" said Anna. Anna quickly takes her own picture and sends it to Ryan. Shortly after, she heard her husband's laughter.

"Why are you wearing my shirt? " Tell Ryan. I don't know why Anna forgot. But it's okay, because Ryan's shirt is also his shirt, Anna thought.

"I miss you Ryan. Can't you just quietly go home and see me?" Anna knew it was a foolish suggestion, but Anna was really her husband by her side.

"I'll be back in three months. I love you so much Anna. I'm not sure I'll call you again. Because the place we are going to is very difficult. If I get the chance, I'll call you often" Ryan said. Anna felt disappointment because of her husband's reply.

"Okay Ryan... I love you more. Take good care of yourself. If danger comes, get away" Anna said, hiding her nervousness.

"Okay baby, I'll take care of myself. I'm gonna hang up. Go to sleep" Ryan said. After a few seconds, the call ended. Anna's heart felt tight after the phone was turned off.

"Am I too dependent on him? That's why I can't live without him. Even just one day I was not strong enough to resist longing. Or indeed my love for Ryan is limitless" Anna muttered inwardly as she stared at the ceiling of the room. Anna closed her eyes while tightly hugging Ryan's shirt. This is the first time Anna slept without Ryan signed after marriage. Ryan is always there for her. Even when he was at Mark's house at the time. Even though Ryan came late at night. At least he's always there for Anna. But Anna this time must get used to without her husband for approximately 3 months.

Three months later, Ryan left Anna. Since the last time he contacted Anna at that time. Ryan never called Ana again. Anna has contacted her husband many times. But all the obstacles are in the signal. Anna could not calm her mind. Because every day without Ryan is like ten years for him. Two months had passed Anna alone without Ryan. But deep down, he felt dying day after day. Amelia said the same thing. Chris only contacted him once after it was gone. Every day Raylie asks where the daddy is. Even her daughter was crying because she felt a longing for her daddy. Ryan is too pampering his daughter, so Raylie can not live without his daddy. Anna did not know how to answer her daughter's question. And Anna herself always can't do anything when she thinks about Ryan. The feeling of losing Ryan thrives in his rations. Anna doesn't know why. But for no definite reason, Anna felt that something bad would happen. Anna forced herself to forget all her bad feelings and thoughts. Ryan promised to come back to him.
