Late at midnight, when Aulia fell asleep. Madi got up and went back to making a magical fence around the bed. Just in case there is any terror aimed at him by those bloodthirsty creatures. Then as usual, he walked towards the bathroom, splashing his entire body with cold water, as a gesture of purifying himself before facing Him, God the Lord of All Mayapada.
Until finished taking ablution water, the attack of the creature was only heard from outside. They dare not enter, because there is a magical fence that Madi has made, to protect themselves from the creatures. Hopefully it can survive until the morning because it seems like all the creatures are very ferocious, and will not stop before getting what they want.
Sure enough, when Madi had just raised his hand, he wanted to takbir rakaat first. A loud noise began to be heard from all over the house. It turned out that all those creatures were still trying by all means to barge in.
Meanwhile, Madi is still calmly performing tahajud prayers. Rakaat by rakaat to witir. He was not bothered in the slightest by the actions of those astral beings. While Aulia was still fast asleep. Madi did not deliberately wake his wife, given the condition of Aulia who was still unstable.
Madi continued to pray, pleading for God's help. While reciting, he again captured the shadow of a man who led the tree-waiting creature. An unknown figure. I don't know what causes the man to be so reckless to move supernatural beings such as kuntilanak, genderuwo and other inhabitants.
Just finishing the dhikr, suddenly kuntilanak resembling a beautiful woman with long interests was already in front of him. Aulia still remained asleep, unaware of what had happened.
A grin was seen on the lips of the kuntilanak. Madi only glanced at a glance, then continued to recite the prayers and verses of the Surah Al-Baqarah, which could expel supernatural beings like kuntilanak.
Kuntilanak was getting hot, uncomfortable with Madi's attack. Then laughing loudly, shrill splitting the night. While his followers like a pair of creepy-faced grandparents, also tried to help break through the magical fence outside the house. However, because the magical fence Madi has made is quite strong, so only kuntilanak that can enter.
''Better yet, you guys just go. Don't disturb the Humans!'' Madi opened up the communication, told them to leave.
The kuntilanak's laughter grew louder, upon hearing Madi's expulsion.
''It should be you who should leave this place. Otherwise, don't blame us if the life of one of you will be lost!''
Madi did not feel any trepidation at receiving the kuntilanak's bluff. He further strengthened the recitation of verses and prayers in the Quran.
Feeling disturbed, the kuntilanak attacked Madi in various ways. While hovering, he tried to influence Madi's mind to be tempted and not fight back.
''Better, get out of my sight now!'' Madi's voice began to rise. The Kuntilanak seemed to start shifting. Can't bear to hear the remembrance that Madi continues to echo.
''Stop ... stop .. stop ...!'' the kuntilanak screams repeatedly.
''Go, and tell your master, not to make trouble again. There are quite a number of residents here who are disturbed by your actions!'' Madi clenched his hands, like making a hitting motion.
Suddenly, the kuntilanak dodged, shifted a little backwards.
''For this time, you win, Son of man. Just wait, we'll definitely be back. Our work is not done. Moreover, many of you still often give offerings. Makes us stronger.'' His laughter sounded again. Really ignited Madi's anger. This time he immediately hit the kuntilanak firmly, making him bounce back out of the house.
After successfully throwing the kuntilanak, Madi continues to thicken the magical fence to stem the re-entry of kuntilanak and his followers.
Madi then fold the prayer mat and put it on the shelf with the peci that was worn. He intended to rest again, until dawn.
''Kang, dawn!'' Aulia's call eliminates Madi's drowsiness. Apparently he overslept.
''Thank you, Dek, you've woken up, Akang. If not, can be clear, said Madi, smiling sincerely.
Aulia also smiled, returning Madi's smile. Then step first into the living room, waiting for Madi to finish taking ablution. As in previous days, they will also perform the congregational prayer, this dawn.
''Kang, last night, Adek had a dream, it was scary.'' Aulia's speech slightly evoked Madi's concentration of driving, on the way to the market.
''There is a woman, very beautiful, Adek continued. He just walked behind Adek, without saying anything.''
Madi not much sound. Busy digesting Aulia's dream earlier. Is it possible that the kuntilanak infiltrated Aulia's dream and disturbed her subconscious? I don't know, hopefully, Aulia remains strong, so it will not be easily influenced by these subtle creatures.
''Kang ....'' The call of Aulia awakens Madi from daydreams. Aulia repeatedly glanced at him, noticing that his wife was doing well. Not influenced by something.
When they arrive at the market. Back Madi felt like someone was watching their actions. While allowing some people to move and transport vegetables to the stall, Madi closed her eyes. Directing his inner eyes to find out who had been watching them.
It turned out to be a man about thirty-five years old, dressed all in black, wearing a headband.
His eyes were very sharp, as if he wanted to skin Madi alive. Who the hell is that guy? And why keep an eye on them? Does it have anything to do with the old tree dwellers? Ah, Madi could only guess, then took a deep breath.
The shape of the face, like no stranger. Have the two of them ever met before? I don't know, maybe, Madi herself was confused as well.
Before wanting to investigate further, the shadow of the man had already disappeared, along with Aulia's touch on his arm.
"Kang, what's wrong? Why, from earlier Akang's attitude is a bit strange?"
Instead of answering, Madi just
smiling, holding Aulia's hand into the market. Surely the vegetables brought by the back had arrived at the stall, waiting for their arrival. Asking for their wages. Understandably, the back of it, the market porters, who depend their lives on the traders in this market.
Indeed, Madi still wanted to chat longer with Aulia, but, seeing the customer, someone started waiting, Madi canceled it. After all, later they can also talk if the buyer has begun to quiet.
