The Old Tree Dwellers

The Old Tree Dwellers
Someone Who Turns Out to be the Enemy

Madi repeatedly practiced the practice, to be stronger and able to survive if he had to fight back without help kyai Sarwa someday. Actually there are quite a lot of knowledge and practice that has been taught by Kyai Sarwa. All of them go through several stages, including fasting.

There is even one practice that can defeat the enemy just by using a pebble only. Madi is also taught karomah as self-defense, so that when attacked, the attacker will bounce himself, because it collides with the karomah that has been practiced.

Not felt, the day has increased. Madi immediately ended her training this morning. Kyai Sarwa has not yet returned.  Rushing, Madi cleaned up the prayer equipment and looked for Kyai Sarwa. Apparently, kyai is giving another lesson this dawn so.

After closing the door, Madi walked over, following Kyai Sarwa towards the musala. In the middle of the trip, he met a friend during his first stay. Apparently, he has become one of the teaching staff in this pesantren. Name, Jaka.

“Madi ..!” he was happy when he saw Madi.

“Jaka right?” madi was no less excited either. For many years, they had never met, and there was no news of him.

“Iya, I'm Jaka. The watchman. Time forgot!”

Madi laughed when she heard Jaka's call just now. Jaka is often able to guard duty, if they often get the task of worshiping, repeating the Quranic memorandums, which they must deposit every day.  Because they are often sleepy, when again memorizing.

“How are you doing now, Di? I heard you've been a vegetable guru.”

Madi smiled at the words of her old comrades, then answered Jaka's question.

“Small vegetables,

The ka. Enough to support the family. You yourself, seem to be teaching at

this pesantren?”

Jaka also smiled, patting

madi's shoulder, saying. “Iya, On. You know, if I was before

do want to be kyai.”

Madi laughed a little. Yes, while studying here first, they often talk about their own ideals, and expectations.

“Thank God, Ka. You can already express your ideals.” Madi then patted Jaka on the shoulder, also pleased with the success that his best friend had achieved.

“iya, thanks, Di. By the way, you're on your own why you're in the pesantren. Is there something?”

Madi's face turned cloudy, then told the question he was experiencing. Telling Jaka everything about the actions of her hunchback grandmother and granddaughter, Nang.

“I'm sorry, Di. Indeed, the actions of both of them often make people anxious. Not only around the pesantren, but also elsewhere. The exercise they offer always makes many souls victims of indulgence.

Made a fall so that the wealth obtained still lasts.”

Madi nods. It turns out that the actions of the hunchback grandmother have made many residents become anxious and anxious. Moreover, the tumors taken vary, ranging from infants to adults. Old, young can all be targets of this indulgence.

“Still, Ka. I pampered first. Look around, the place where we used to hang out a lot. Around the pesantren.”

Madi smile. After saying his greetings, he passed, heading to the courtyard behind the pesantren, where he used to sit there often. To memorize all the lessons and recitations of the Quran that must be paid every day.

The atmosphere there has not changed. The scenery that can be enjoyed does not change. The village, which is located under the pesantren, is still as it once was. If, then,

not foggy, can be seen clearly.

While looking at the charm

the scene before him, a message entered his cave. Hurry, Madi

open up, afraid that something will befall the family left behind.

“Kang, how is it there? I'm fine, right?” that's the message that was written there.

“Alhamdullillah. Akang, it's fine here. Don't forget, order Akang!” Madi also immediately replied to the message Aulia had sent.

Meanwhile, away from where Madi was sitting, a pair of eyes were watching, looking at her with a vengeance. No, Nang, Grandma's hunchback granddaughter. However, someone who seems to be jealous of Madi's closeness to Kyai Sarwa. Madi, didn't know it all this time.

“Wait a minute, Madi! I'm gonna

making you regret coming back to this pesantren,” his hisses in tone

fury.

Madi who was busy sending messages with Aulia, immediately flinched. Shocked, because his sixth sense says that someone is looking at him with vengeance and anger. When he wanted to turn his face towards the figure who was looking at him, the figure had disappeared.

‘Who is he? What is he really doing? Why is he looking at me with such hatred?’ batin Madi, curious.

While the conversation with Aulia via message had just ended. Encompassed with a considerable sense of curiosity, he then came to the place, where the figure was staring at him earlier. It was quite far from where he was sitting. There was a small building, which was rarely visited, because of the place, a warehouse to put

items that are no longer used.

While reading some prayers, Madi checked the place. However, it seems like there is nothing there. That figure was no stranger to him. As has often interacted with himself first, when still the same— together studied here.

Feeling nothing, Madi then left the place while wondering in his heart. What was possible, the figure who was watching him was a friend or an enemy. However, feeling the anger that was so fierce, Madi was sure, that the person must have been holding a grudge and wanted to avenge the heartache.

‘Yes, Allah, have not yet finished the problem with the hunchback grandmother and granddaughter, this is already a new problem again.’ Madi stroked the chest, calming the feeling. He must remain calm in the face of this situation. Madi immediately left the place, went home, tried to discuss later with Kyai Sarwa, looking for the best solution.

Meanwhile, from somewhere, another pair of eyes were also watching Madi. She, is Nini, the hunchback granny. There was a grin visible on his lips. Feeling happy, there was someone he would be able to influence to fight Madi.

The grudges and feelings of anger that the person has, become a strong reason to invite him to work together, unite forces, fight Madi and Kyai Sarwa.

The coldness of the very loud laughter made the face of the savage hunchback grandmother become even more sinister. A triumphant smile was painted on the corner of his lips. It is time for the leadership of Kyai Sarwa to collapse, his his hiss interrupted by laughter.

One of the students who has always been shackled with envy, will be the main weapon to take down Kyai Sarwa. He only affects Sarwa's kyai students, whispering some devious plans, to evict Sarwa kyai.
