Chapters 16. Embarrassed

Mavra's phone vibrated, she grabbed her phone and immediately picked up the incoming call without seeing the caller's number.

"Miss, gross."

"What's wrong?"

"Kanne and Phillip were injured while watching over Martinez's residence."

"They're attacked?"

"Yes. They were attacked by a man."

"How could the two be defeated by a man?"

"Kanne got 2 shots, while phillip suffered a broken bone and also a stab wound."

"Where are you now?"

"I'm still in the hospital with Ralph."

"I'll be there soon. Just wait."

Maura looked at the clock on her phone screen, the time showing at 2 p.m. The girl immediately changed clothes. He also wears a long, milk-brown coat as it is now entering autumn, the air is quite cold at night.

Mavra had no intention of waking Enrique up because this was his business. However, when she opened the door, Enrique was apparently already standing in front of her room.

"I have to go. My men are hurt."

"I'm going to Kanne and Phillip's treatment room first. I have to see their situation.

The Mavra had almost moved on from Enrique's side, but again Enrique's movement kept Mavra from leaving.

Upon arrival at Kanne and Phillip's treatment room, Mavra sees Mark, Ralph and Martin standing beside the bed with gloomy faces.

At the sound of the door opening, the three adult men turned their heads and saw the young lady standing with her lover. The eyebrows of the three of them were furrowed deeply as they knew the young lady had gone to San Francisco to avoid the man, but why were they coming now hand in hand?

"How are they doing?"

"So Kanne and Phillip had regained consciousness, but then they went back to sleep because of the influence of the drug" said Mark.

"Ralph, give me your laptop."

Ralph handed Mavra his laptop without hesitation. Mavra and Enrique sat on the sofa. Mavra turned on Ralph's laptop without difficulty.

"If I can't come with you, you can't go anywhere either" Enrique said. Mavra grunted in annoyance. Without saying much he stood up. Enrique stood up. The couple left the treatment room for Kanne and Phillip.

After making sure his young lady left, Ralph immediately took his laptop to see the work of Mavra. He could only giggle in awe after seeing for himself the CCTV footage that had actually been completely restored. Ralph was embarrassed. She should be able to be more powerful than her young miss, because after all her main task is to help Mavra.

"What's up, Ralph?" ask Mark. He was able to capture Ralph's sad face after seeing the CCTV footage.

"It's so embarrassing. Should I just retire from taking care of young lady?"

"Why do you suddenly say that?"

"Does the lady need us? Miss always protects us. How can we be called bodyguards, while the more frequent miss sets up for us?"

Mark and Martin suddenly felt the same way as Ralph. The three bodyguards looked down in embarrassment, while Kyle and Flyn instead quietly observed the three people.
