The Legend of the Devil

The Legend of the Devil
Ch. 86 - Tomb at the Gorge Barrier

Xiao Rong's tear drops fell into the depths of that bottomless abyss, even just a drop of water was shattered apart by the strong wind within. Moreover, Xue Zhan was inside. He clenched a fist and hit it on the rock of the cliff while shouting.

"Fuckin' man! Why should people like us receive this heinous treatment from you?!"

Xiao Rong better understood what Xue Zhan had been feeling all along. Since childhood exiled and hated thousands of people who every day sang death songs for him. Live in a heavy destiny and try to keep crawling under human feet, begging for a life worth treating.

But the man tore him apart. Xiao Rong wept at him, how they stabbed and slashed his friend savagely. Both of his hands trembled violently, the hatred within his chest spreading. Xiao Rong promised not to forgive anyone who killed Xue Zhan today.

"You bastard!" Xiao Rong struck Jiazhen Yan who had only fallen on the ground. He punched the young man in the face many times, not a single one Jiazhen Yan had replied back then.

"You let him die in front of us, you scum! Wasn't it from the start that you were most determined to save her, but you saw her just die and threw her into the abyss! I don't think of you as my friend. Until death!"

He banged Jiazhen Yan's head against the rock, Xian Shen held him back.

"Calm yourself, he's still your friend. You're just like those guys!"

"Are you not the same?! From the beginning you hated demons like him! Don't be so holy!"

The furious Xiao Rong no longer knew how to vent it, so that the world knew everything that was happening in this land was unfair.

Xue Zhan was innocent, Xiao Rong dared to cut off both his legs and hands if he was wrong. But those people directly judged him just because of Xue Zhan's pretext of a demon. Justifying all those accusations, because for them this was the right opportunity to eliminate Xue Zhan.

"Why are you bringing up the old stuff, damn it?" Xian Shen was also stuck in his emotions, he kicked Xiao Rong's stomach with his knees. Then a great fight happened. Mutual cursing and blaming, to exhaustion and only self-harm.

"... I'm sorry."

Both Xian Shen and Xiao Rong turned their heads towards Jiazhen Yan who was sitting in regret, recalling the second where he lost his friend.

Something moved so fast faster than the wind, everyone only caught on that moment Jiazhen Yan released her hand from Xue Zhan. The young man would never let go of his friend and leave him to the Pit of Regret who had no idea how valuable their friendship was.

It was rare for Jiazhen Yan to apologize to Xue Zhan, but once she apologized, her friend was gone.

Drops of tears fell, Jiazhen Yan repeated them once more. "I'm sorry. I'm sorry ..."

"Now it's too late, he won't listen to your apology. He's dead, obviously, isn't he? You saw it yourself!" The so angry Xiao Rong unleashed all of his strength.

It made the abyss stone shatter instantly. Xian Shen pulled his two crazy friends over to the safe side of the rock. Seeing how a huge piece of rock fell into the abyss was struck by the wind from below and shattered into dust.

Xiao Rong looked away, there was nothing else he wanted to say, he walked away.

His voice sounded raucous, his heavy footsteps leaving the Gorge of Regret that became his friend's final resting place.

A figure that carries a little light on its dark night. Thanks to Xue Zhan, Xiao Rong learned about the meaning of bonding. Where he could share his sadness and exchange it for a laugh. When he woke up, those fun days were no longer there.

Xiao Rong's departure was followed by Jiazhen Yan turning back. Regretting various things that resulted in the life of his friend was taken. He could no longer return to the Eternal Valley nor return home. Jiazhen Yan no longer knew how she spent her slowly darkening life.

"Brother Yan, I don't hate you at all." Xian Shen said softly even though the young man did not respond and still continued his staggering journey. The wounds all over her body were no more painful than her heart now.

"I hope that the miracle really exists" she whispered softly, Jiazhen Yan's steps restrained for a moment. He walked back and disappeared from the Pit of Regret. And no one would have expected after that the genius of the Eternal Valley would disappear from the martial world for many years.

Only himself remains. Xian Shen knelt on the ravine barrier, listened to the sound of the wind and thought of it like laughter from the young man.

"I don't know why I was able to follow you until now," Xian Shen said with a foolish smile even though it only caused tears to come back down his cheeks.

"What I knew was that you had a good heart and I wanted to be your shadow. I never had a friend who really understood me. They were friends with me because of my money and social status. All hypocrites."

Despite only talking to the wind, Xian Shen did not care and still continued.

"But I see the real sincerity of you. Brother Zhan, I hope this ravine will always take care of you. Rest in peace, I will definitely scrape away the perpetrator who put you in this situation. Until then comes ..."

Xian Shen stopped his sentence, an invisible blow made him in pain.

His voice trembled, "I forgot to say thanks to you. I know who you are and your family. We owe a lot to your mother's father's services, when the Xian clan massacre was the only one who helped ... When all our brothers and relatives turned their faces away from us" he cried.

"I won't forget your kindness for a second. Because it will repay him by uncovering everything that happened today. With that you can rest in peace."

He backed away wiping away the tears with the back of his hand. Stabilizing his breathing roar, a moment later whipped out his sword. Xian Shen carved something on a medium-sized rock on the edge of the ravine that was still covered in Xue Zhan's blood. He tied a white rope to the stone. I watched him for a few minutes in silence.

The sentence read, 'Here Xue Zhan rests.'

The name that was written with sword eyes was stared at for a long time by him, until Xian Shen finally stood up.

"Somehow I should move on with my life. Perhaps I will continue to serve the Empire and serve my punishment. But I'm glad to be with you until the end of your life."

He nodded, "I'm good-bye first, my friend. Next time I'll be here. And maybe ... Looking for two of our friends who left first."

Xian Shen smiled. Down, turn around and get out of there.
