Xue Zhan originally wanted to look for Xiang Yi Bai, yet he unbundled his intentions and directly chased after the black hood figure. Qi Zhang said that they were the clues that would deliver him to the Red Tusk. Clearly he was unwilling to lose the opportunity and directly chased after the enemy's move after dealing with the innkeeper.
On top of the rooftop of the residents' house, Xue Zhan managed to find the black figure was running rapidly towards the south. He followed her as quickly as possible, trying to follow her secretly without being discovered.
Long enough to follow him through the forest and some of the city centers, Xue Zhan began to feel an oddity towards the place where he was now.
The hooded figure stopped there, in a vast land of former war was on the border between the Guang Empire and the Feng Empire. Xue Zhan ran too far that he was unaware that the Guang Empire was one of the dangerous empires.
His feet swayed slowly stepping on the desert's dry sand.
The atmosphere around me was suffocating. He turned around and glanced at every direction of the wind but did not see a single sign of life.
Xue Zhan used his eye ability to look at the power energy around and suddenly his gaze was fixed under his feet.
In the suddenness of something coming out from under his feet, Xue Zhan jumped backwards in shock. In a few seconds after that there was a groan that echoed up into the sky, a huge giant creature came out of the ground making the sand fall like a waterfall. Xue Zhan looked up for the sake of being able to see what had just nearly attacked him.
His gaze locked on the giant creature, he resembled an earth rat but both of his eyes were glowing white and clad in over thousands of spell papers. The creature looked strange at a glance, all he knew at this moment was that he had to be careful with the spell papers on the creature's body.
It looks like it could explode if touched.
When the sand stopped descending from the creature's body, it was only seen that there was someone else there besides Xue Zhan. He stood on the head of the Sand Rat and controlled the surrounding sand like water.
It was not his strength alone that made Xue Zhan fall silent. But the mask that the figure wore was very familiar.
Xue Zhan could guarantee that person was one of the Red Taring higher-ups. He wore a white cross mask and had strength that could be equivalent to or even greater than Chao Mi.
Xue Zhan had heard from Kang Jian about the controlling figure of sand power and spells and could now see it directly before his eyes.
"You look pale, demon. I see you're so free to run around and thwart our plans."
The voice was slightly growling, like he had long waited for Xue Zhan to be there to choke him.
Xue Zhan thought quickly, he might have fallen into an enemy trap. If that's true, then this is bad. His opponent was stronger than himself, Xue Zhan did not need to prove it because he already knew about it. Most likely the figure lured him here and got him stuck in a strange place.
"If you think you're stuck, then you're absolutely right. The bodies were just bait, you brought yourself here willingly."
He spread out his hands while staring at the entire place.
"Welcome to the Desert of Light, you're a little more almost to our new headquarters. But unfortunately just getting here you can stand."
He jumped down from a height of hundreds of meters and landed on the sand along with a roll of sandstorms that began to be seen from a distance.
"Just calm down, you won't die in vain, young demon. Every part of your body - your blood, your eyes, your skin and your internal organs - will be very useful to us. Thank you for not letting you rot like an idiot in the grave. Surely your ancestors will use you as the most useless descendant."

A sharp gale of wind flew from the ceiling of the Feng Empire hall. Hundreds of soldiers united in formation to protect the leader standing on his throne, the woman's eyes paying close attention to the woman in a red robe in front of her.
"So you ... Fenghuang?"
He said on the sidelines of the chaos that occurred around him. The woman slightly narrowed her eyes to make sure the figure that suddenly came electrifying her palace that morning.
There did not sound any words from the girl other than moans of emotions and aftersses of deadly wind attacks. The girl created air waves that shook the palace, the lights and decorations in the palace sky shook.
Fenghuang clenched her hands, lifting hundreds of soldiers up in the air and smashing them onto the ground. Then in a few moments later, a strong wind dispersed amidst the army of soldiers and made them bounce ten meters into the wall.
Only Li Jia Xing was left in the middle of the palace, not looking panicked or daunted at all. His eyes were still staring straight at Fenghuang, that pair of red eyes was more concentrated than blood.
He was sure hatred had fused within that Phoenix and was looking forward to this day to avenge everything.
As long as there was no one to guard Li Jia Xing, it became Fenghuang's chance to approach him.
As expected, no one was guarding Li Jia Xing and now Fenghuang was already right in front of the woman's throne seat. Li Jia Xing's green eyes lifted up looking at the girl in front of him.
At first glance the white shadow resembling a wing on Fenghuang's back, the girl suddenly turned into a golden red Phoenix bird that was so graceful and beautiful. Some of the servants and nobles who saw the incident shut their mouths in surprise.
For the first time in their lives they saw a phoenix that was so famous and nothing more than a myth.
Fenghuang tried to make a sound.
"I want to tell you all who this woman really is"
Fenghuang's neck was suddenly strangled from behind by a warrior who was none other than Emperor Li's own bodyguard-Xiao Rong. Fenghuang attempted to break away but his attempt failed.
He was already locked and ended up sealed in an iron cage surrounded by powerful protective spells. Fenghuang flapped her wings a few times, smashed her body into the silting iron and shouted yet none of the humans were willing to listen to her.
Fenghuang's energy had already run out after seeing how everyone was still defending that vile woman. They called themselves crazy birds who were chirping indistinctly and ignored them.
The two warriors brought his cage to be secured in a separate place, Fenghuang saw Li Jia Xing standing without being disturbed in his chair. Those green eyes glanced at him with a cursory smile.
"Fuckin' lady!" Swear oath.

Yan Shumei, an experienced alchemist, was busy with her research. He was standing in front of his work desk which was filled with alchemy equipment.
Carefully, he held onto a small bottle and carefully dripped droplets of blood into it. Each drop of blood that falls forms a red streak inside the bottle, creating intricate patterns.
The room was filled with the distinctive aroma of potions and chemicals mixed in, around Yan Shumei, various thick books and research notes were scattered along the shelves. He had been doing research for years until his hair turned white and his body bent but the ambition in his eyes never faded.
In the silence of the room, Yan Shumei was immersed in deep research. He observed the droplets of blood continuously being dripped into the bottle attentively. His eyes and mind were focused on the research he was doing.
The drops of blood that were put in the bottle became part of the complex experiment or research that he had been pursuing all this time, and he would get the results in a moment. A power that no one would ever think of.
Yan Shumei carefully dripped the drops of demonic blood into the bottle she had prepared. When the droplets of blood came into contact with other substances in the bottle, an astonishing change occurred. Originally, the blood looked like a pitch-black liquid, but as the reaction took place, it turned a fiery red with a bright spotlight.
A mysterious energy radiated from the bottle, filling the room with dazzling flashes of light. Around the bottle, small bubbles form and move quickly.
Yan Shumei noticed the changes that were happening. He knew that this reaction was the result of his ongoing research and meticulous experimentation. After various trials and calculations matured, he finally managed to find the right combination of ingredients to produce the expected reaction.
His smile expanded extremely wide with his eyes wide open, revealing a horrifying expression. Half his life he used to research this and nothing else could make him happier than this.
"What about your research? The chairman is looking forward to the good news from you."
Suddenly Yan Shumei was surprised to hear that voice amidst the darkness. He turned his head towards the voice and saw a mysterious and authoritative figure emerge from the shadows.
Carefully Yan Shumei replied, "My research was successful, I have managed to create it. The power in this drop of demonic blood reacted perfectly as the chairman wanted."
The voice muttered those ambitious words, "The chief will be overjoyed to hear it. Your discovery will be a new force for us."
"You're just plan B, don't be so proud."
The cynical speech did not dampen his pleasure at all.
Yan Shumei remained proud and satisfied in her heart. He felt his many years of sacrifice as an alchemist was not in vain, and his research made an important contribution to their group.
"I will give this finding directly to the Chairman immediately .."
The mysterious figure answered. " Your job is done. Go and tell the Chairman about the results of your research. We don't have much time."
Yan Shumei gave a respectful greeting to the figure before leaving the research room with a happy feeling. He walked towards the room where the chairman was often located which was located within the palace of his power. The place was adorned with luxurious decorations and crystal lights that emitted a soft light. The people who were inside the room, wearing fox masks covering their faces, looked at each other as Yan Shumei entered the room.
"Chairman, I managed to make it! I'm sure you're very happy with this!"
The fox mask man stood up while clapping enthusiastically. "really? Finally my waiting for a dozen years was not in vain. You deserve a compliment, my friend."
Hearing that compliment Yan Shumei grew even more proud. The head of the group received a bottle filled with blood on the man's hand.
However, when Yan Shumei handed the bottle containing her alchemist discovery to the man with the fox mask, suddenly her hand moved swiftly and forcefully. Like a flash of light splitting through the air, his hand directed a sharp attack and hit the neck of Yan Shumei who was still standing before him.
His bones shifted and there was serious bleeding inside, Yan Shumei was sure the attack did not miss. The fox mask man wanted to kill him slowly and give him some time before his death.
Sounding a sharp hissing sound from him, Yan Shumei was shocked by the sudden action. He felt a piercing pain and bleeding started to creep through his body.
The people in the room were flabbergasted, their eyes wide open due to this unexpected event. They could not understand why the man with the fox mask had suddenly attacked Yan Shumei after hearing the good news of his best alchemist even though they had been friends for over ten years.
Yan Shumei, despite being shocked and feeling the pain that was interfering with breathing, was still trying to maintain her consciousness. He looked towards the man with the fox mask, trying to find an answer to this unexpected attack.
In an increasingly weak state, Yan Shumei tried to speak, her voice hoarse and weak. "Why...? Why... you... do this? You forgot about our friendship?"
I can't believe it, but that's what happened. He should not trust a person who could betray a thousand people indiscriminately. Disappointment appeared on his face which began to turn pale due to the pain from within his body. The broken collarbone that was a vital part made him die slowly, Yan Shumei laughed incessantly.
The man with the fox mask looked at him with an indecipherable cold gaze, "because you are no longer needed."
When those words were spoken, Yan Shumei felt even more shaken. He can't believe what happened. The trust and hope he had given his group was torn to shreds by betrayal.
Meanwhile, darkness began to encompass Yan Shumei's gaze. His body grew weaker, and he felt his breathing start to pant.
In an increasingly fading state, Yan Shumei tried to speak.
"After all this? You forget who was next to you when you were at the bottom before you were like now? Who gives you food when you're hungry or shelter when you're cold? I helped you in everything but it means nothing now."
A cold answer sounded from him.
"Between two, I betrayed you or you betrayed me. Once you've made this discovery, you'll use it for something else. And you'll either turn away from me or get in my way."
Yan Shumei laughed stammeringly, her consciousness dwindling and her life signs dimming.
In the room, tension enveloped the air. People with fox masks looked at each other in silence, not daring to make a sound.
"Goodbye, my friend."
