The Lee Family's Second Son-in-law

The Lee Family's Second Son-in-law
Between Grief and Happiness (1)

Celia is still sobbing in Jae Joong's arms. Still vividly remembered his conversation with the mother that ended with a debate.

Actually Celia is not angry at Sang Mi. It's just that he doesn't like the way Sang Mi said that always brings up Mi Ran's past.

A few hours ago, Celia approached Sang Mi who was making kimchi in the kitchen. The Mi was used to preparing all the food at night. So that in the morning he is not too late to open a stall.

Celia who had just put Mi Ran to sleep, got a less pleasant look from Sang Mi.

"Eun Chae, I don't understand your way of thinking. Why did you even allow that rich girl to come here again? Didn't you see how she looked at Kang Joon? Obviously the girl likes Kang Joon. Are you gonna shut up?"

Celia was silent for a moment. Actually, he also did not like Ji Hyo's attitude. But, Celia knows that Ji Hyo is not a girl who gives up easily. The habit of rich girls is to get what they want.

Celia sighed. She knows her mother is worried that her relationship with Joon will return to Ji Hyo's presence. Plus yesterday Hye Ri also made Sang Mi angry.

"I believe in Kang Joon, Mom. And I think Ji Hyo is a lonely girl who needs a friend. I'm willing to be his friend."

Sang Mi sighed. "You don't have to think about anyone else. While you yourself have not been accepted into Kang Joon's family. Eun Chae, just listen to me for once."

Sang Mi stopped her activities and held Celia's hands together.

"Just tell me honestly if Mi Ran is not your son..."

Celia brushed off Sang Mi's hand. Not mean to be rude. But Celia did not want Mi Ran to hear their talk.

"Mom, please don't talk about this anymore. Mother herself knew what Mi Ran meant to me." Celia started to tear up.

Sang Mi turned her face away. It was free to talk to Celia. His daughter was very stubborn a long time ago. The Mi washes her hands in the sink then takes off her apron.

"Where are you going?" celia asked when she saw Sang Mi stepping away from the kitchen.

"Mom will shop! The supplies for the stall are almost gone." Sang Mi took her wallet inside the room.

Celia follows Sang Mi. "Why not buy it tomorrow? It's night, Mom."

Sang Mi looked at Celia. "It's still nine o'clock at night. I used to shop at this hour. You go to sleep first! Don't wait for me!" Sang Mi went straight out of the house without heeding Celia's call.

Celia never expected, if tonight was the last night she met Sang Mi. And what Celia regretted the most was that she was still debating the mother because of Mi Ran's problem, which clearly had no blood relation to her.

Celia's cry grew louder as she recalled all the debates with Mother. Jae Joong pressed his hold on Celia's arm. He rubbed slowly so that Celia was calmer.

"What are you guys doing?"

Someone's voice is loud enough to make Celia immediately break away from Jae Joong. Celia knows that voice.

"Kang Joon's..." Celia is very shocked because Joon has arrived at the hospital.

"Sir, please don't misunderstand me!" Jae Joong interrupts because he knows Joon is angry.

"What is this really about?" joon asked with a confused face. The reason was on Celia's phone, the woman only said if she asked Joon to go to the hospital immediately without any explanation. Celia was too shocked, so she could only cry without saying much.

"Kang Joon, Mum..." Celia was unable to continue her words as a nurse approached them.

"Sorry, Miss. Please take care of the administration for the repatriation of Mrs Ju Sang Mi."

The nurse's words caused Joon to turn his back. Joon looks at Celia who is crying hysterically. Without waiting any longer, Joon immediately gave a warm hug to Celia.

"What's this about? Why is this so?" joon asked while hugging Celia tightly. Celia just shook her head not knowing what to say.

"Let me take care of his administration. Sir, you take care of Celia." Jae Joong immediately followed the nurse's steps towards the administration.

In a different place, Hye Ri who was still frightened and trembling with the actions she had just done, chose to go back to see her mother at home. Hye Ri knocked on the door of the house quite loudly.

"Who's coming in these nights?" hye Mi's grumble that was just about to close her eyes.

"Hey Ri? Why are you back?" hye Mi asked confusedly.

"Mother..." Hye Ri's face was pale. And his hands are trembling.

"What's wrong with you? Come inside!" Feeling something strange with her daughter, Hye Mi immediately brought Hye Ri into the house.

Hye Ri was sitting on a simple living room chair. Hye Mi brought some water for Hye Ri.

"What's wrong? Why are you back?" hye Mi asked again when Hye Ri had drained the water she was given.

"L-lady..." Hye Ri was speechless. He was still scared and crying.

Hye Mi waited for her daughter to calm down so she could tell a story. "You'd better rest in your old room. I'm tired, I want to sleep." Hye Mi passed leaving Hye Ri. After Hye Ri had scolded Hye Mi, it felt like her heart was still upset with her daughter's never-good attitude towards her. Sometimes Hye Mi envies Sang Mi who is treated well by Celia.

"I hit Aunt Sang Mi..."

"What did you say?" asked Hye Mi who still did not believe what Hye Ri said.

"I-I've killed Sang Mi's aunt" Hye Ri said in a trembling voice.

Hye Mi approached Hye Ri and held onto both of her shoulders. "Say the clear! How did you hit Sang Mi?"

Hye Ri recounted all the chronology of events a few hours ago to Hye Mi in a stuttering voice. Even so, Hye Ri managed to finish the story.

Hye Mi closed her mouth in disbelief at what her daughter had just done. How could his daughter do something this big to Sang Mi. Although Hye Mi was annoyed at Sang Mi, but she did not expect that Hye Ri would take this step.

After seeing Hye Ri calm down a bit, Hye Mi turned Hye Ri towards her room. This daughter is indeed guilty, but Hye Mi can't just ignore Hye Ri.

Tonight, though with a heavy heart, Hye Mi tried to close her eyes and rest.

Lee Ni Group Office.

Kang Moon contacted Jae Joong who again arrived late. Really he was getting fed up with the attitude of his secretary who began to act as he pleased. Even Jae Joong is often not allowed to enter work for reasons that seem strange.

"Hello, where are you? Why haven't you arrived at the office?" kang Moon's.

"Sorry, Sir. One of my acquaintances is in a state of disaster. I'm not going to work today."

"What's? Any more? Are you actually still working here or not?" Kang Moon was getting angry.

"I'm sorry, sir. I promise this is the last one. I won't repeat it again."

"Well! Alright. This time I let you. But if you do this again tomorrow, you better leave this company" said Kang Moon.

"Good, Sir. Thanks again."

Call disconnected. Kang Moon rubbed his body violently on his seat of greatness. Shortly after, Kang Moon's door was knocked.

"Lake in!" his orders.

"Excuse me, Master!" Hwan walked into Kang Moon's room and saluted.

"What's wrong?" asked Kang Moon coldly.

"Today I'll replace secretary Moon's job to help you. It just so happens that today Mr. Kang Joon is also on leave," Hwan said clearly and flatly.

Kang Moon scrunched his forehead. But he didn't want to ask further. At this time, he needed the help of his secretary.

Kang Moon nodded and immediately ordered Hwan to do his duty immediately. Inwardly, Kang Moon wondered. Why can Joon and Jae Joong not enter at the same time.

Meanwhile, Celia and Joon are now in a funeral home. Mourners began to arrive to pay their last respects to Sang Mi. Joon faithfully always accompanied Celia who still seemed devastated by the death of Sang Mi.

Among the mourners, Hye Mi came to say goodbye to her sister-in-law. Although their relationship is not good, still Hye Mi cannot ignore the death of Sang Mi. Plus, her daughter Hye Ri was the cause of Sang Mi's death.

Although her heart was frightened if anyone knew what her daughter was doing, but as much as possible Hye Mi was calm and as if nothing had happened last night.

"I'm so sorry, Eun Chae. May your mother be quiet there!" hye Mi said when she met Celia.

"Thank you, Auntie." Celia simply replied softly.

Hye Mi glanced at the faithful man accompanying Celia. "So this is Hye Ri's sister-in-law? Hmm, handsome too. Hye Ri chases after herself. It's a pity that he prefers Eun Chae."

Hye Mi seemed to be circulating her gaze looking for the whereabouts of someone. Yes, Hye Mi is looking for the figure of Mi Ran, who is her own grandson. But, it seems that Mi Ran is not there.

After not seeing Mi Ran anywhere, Hye Mi decided to leave the funeral home. Coinciding with Hye Mi coming out from inside the funeral home, Jae Joong got out of the car along with Mi Ran.

Actually Celia deliberately let Mi Ran be at home with Jae Joong. Celia doesn't want Mi Ran to see her sadness. Mi Ran was still too small to understand all of this.

But apparently, Mi Ran forced Jae Joong to drive himself to the funeral home and gather with his mother. Jae Joong looked at Hye Mi who was seen leaving in a hurry.

"Isn't that ... Hye Ri's mother? Why is he here? Does he know Sang Mi's aunt?" inner Jae Joong.

The daydream was spoiled because Mi Ran pulled her hand and asked to enter the funeral home.

"Uncle, let's go in!" take Mi Ran.

"Yes, let's go in!"
