Face to Face

Joon and Celia run down the hospital hallways. After Celia got a phone call from Sang Mi who reported that Mi Ran fainted, then Celia asked Joon to go to the hospital.

Celia saw Sang Mi standing in front of the intensive room.

"Mother!" Celia Seru.

"Eun Chae, thank goodness you've come." Sang Mi looked worried.

"What's really going on, Mom?" ask Celia to panic.

"Mi Ran fainted. I don't know what else to do. That's why I took her to the hospital."

Celia sat down. Currently, Mi Ran's condition is not possible to be visited. Mi Ran was in the intensive care room with several tools attached to her body.

"Mrs Park!" A nurse called Celia.

"The doctor wants to talk to the two of you" he continued, staring at Celia and Joon in turn.

Sang Mi nods her head at the sign that she invites Celia and Joon to see the doctor. After all, Celia and Joon are Mi Ran's parents now.

"We need to start treatment immediately, ma'am, sir. Mi Ran's condition is already quite concerning if left too long," said the doctor as Celia and Joon sat opposite her.

Celia looked at Joon confused. Mi Ran was still too small to get such a painful treatment.

Joon holds Celia's hand. He convinces Celia to follow the doctor's advice.

"Do your best for our daughter, Doc." Joon's words managed to make Celia's heart warm. Joon is a good man and also a good father to Mi Ran.

After talking to the doctor, Joon and Celia sit on the long bench of the hospital. Joon brought a cup of coffee to Celia.

"Coffee?" tawar Joon's.

"Thank you." Celia accepted and immediately gulped it down quietly.

"Celia, Mi Ran is a strong child. I'm sure he can deal with this. You also have to be strong so that Mi Ran is excited."

Celia reviewed the smile. What Joon said is true. Celia must be strong to face this ordeal.

Tonight, Joon and Celia decide to stay at the hospital to accompany Mi Ran. Previously Joon drove Sang Mi to the apartment to rest.

This morning, four people were at the dinner table to eat their breakfast. It looks normal as if last night nothing happened in this family.

Even the scene without the youngest son was ordinary because the second son had left home five years ago. No small talk happened this morning. People choose silence with their own minds. Even though last night had just happened to stir because of the arrival of the second son with his wife.

Byung Man finished his breakfast and left first. Kang Moon and Hye Ri. And there lived Ae Gyo who still enjoyed his breakfast with a rough sigh.

"When will this happen?" muttered Ae Gyo. After that Ae Gyo also chose to finish his breakfast.

Hye Ri, who was tidy in her office suit, walked out of the room and prepared to go to work. Despite being the son-in-law of the conglomerate, Hye Ri still works at the foundation run by the Lee family. Hye Ri replaces Ae Gyo, who is now retiring.

"Where are you going?" ae Gyo asks when he meets Hye Ri.

"I want to work, Mother," Hye Ri replied casually.

"Come with me! I have something to talk to you about."

Hye Ri is forced to follow Ae Gyo's steps towards her private room. Ae Gyo asks Hye Ri to sit on the sofa.

"Well, I'm not going to get stale with you."

Hye Ri looked at Ae Gyo who seemed like she was going to say something serious.

"You've been married to Kang Moon for five years. Then when are you going to give us a descendant? I think it's time for you and Kang Moon to think about this before Kang Joon and the celebrity get ahead of you to give an heir to the Lee Family."

Hye Ri's eyes widened. "Mother! What do you mean you talk like that? Do you approve of their relationship?"

Ae Gyo sighed harshly. "What can I do! I don't want to lose my son a second time. Kang Joon seems to love that woman. I can what?"

"Mother!" Hye Ri wants to protest. But it feels like Ae Gyo doesn't want to be denied. Ae Gyo instead tells Hye Ri to get out of her room.

Hye Ri snorted in annoyance. With forced Hye Ri went to the office with a feeling of annoyance to the crown.

"Park Eun Chae! It's all because of him! Just watch!" Hye Ri stepped on the gas pedal with an inexplicable feeling in words.

In a different place, Celia got a call from the manager who asked her to come to the NT Entertainment office. Luckily Sang Mi came to the hospital early in the morning.

"Go! I'll keep Mi Ran here" said Sang Mi.

"I'll drive you." Joon followed.

"No! You should go to work too. I'm gonna have Jimmy pick me up."

Joon can't force it. "alright. Yes carefully. I'll pick you up when I get home."

Celia nodded. It feels that Joon's presence really strengthens his heart and soul to face the tough days of his life.

Arriving on the front page of the NT Entertainment building, Celia and Jimmy got out of the car. They walked into that magnificent building.

But on the way, Celia's steps must stop because someone called her.

"Cerelia Park! Can I talk to you for a second?"

Celia is quite surprised to see the arrival of Joon's sister-in-law who is Celia's cousin sister.

"Jimm, you go in first. I'll catch up later."

Jimmy nodded and left Celia alone with Hye Ri.

"What's wrong? I think you're too busy to meet me here." Celia smiled meaningfully.

"You don't know what you're dealing with, Eun Chae. You don't know what the real Lee family looks like!"

Celia crossed both hands. "Say what you want, brother? Don't beat around!"

Hye Ri grinned. "I'm sure you would have known that the Seok Joon you knew was Lee Kang Joon, the second son of the wealthy Lee family. And you're not angry at all because Kang Joon lied to you? Did you accidentally close your eyes after finding out that the Seok Joon you met in Vegas was the son of a wealthy family?"

Celia shook her head slowly. "I don't think this is any sister's business. I'm angry or not, that's my problem and Kang Joon's. Brother take care of brother's own business!" Celia was furious and was about to leave, but Hye Ri blocked Celia.

"You don't forget that you have an out-of-wedlock child who knows who your son's father is. Do you think the Lee family will accept the boy, huh?"

Celia brushed off Hye Ri's hand violently. This time Celia was silent. Although it felt like Celia wanted to slap Hye Ri, but this was in a public place. Celia has to take care of her image.

"Eun Chae, you don't know anything about Kang Joon. I know him better. You have no idea what my relationship with Kang Joon was like before you got married. I'm sure he'll leave you soon. Let's just see!"
