Chapter 25: Preparation

His fingers were stiff, his eyes were heavy. The pain is all over the body. The view was increasingly clear, as he tried to open his eyes to the emerald green.

The girl tried to get up from the long table. He sat down and watched where he was. A vast land full of weeds, filled the view across there. On the left side of a normal house, it looks bright with white-brown paint.

"Where am I?" tanyanya tried to sit properly, lowering her feet to the ground. The back of his head was filled with water, the front of his head hurt as if he had been hit, his eyes also felt very dizzy.

"You awake?" ask the veiled woman, who covered the bottom of her face.

"Who are you?" The woman in the hood was silent.

"Where am I?"

"Stanome," he replied. The girl looked up too. A thick cloud filled the sky, as if it was about to collapse. Still, hang it there.

"You should sleep again!'

"Geez!" Flore Dimitri exhaled in annoyance, then threw the light from the end of his wand. Jennifer is sleeping too.

Keeping Jennifer all day pissed her off. Flore Dimitri should have just killed him. If it wasn't for Professor Davis. It was not like saving that traitorous child.

Now she has to take Jennifer to a shitty witch. Yovanka, the witch who never ages.

The sky this afternoon was getting more and more terrifying, a thick white cloud cloud clumping from the south, now turning dark. Marry's smile disappeared. He came to the wide open window.

"Dad!" Mary's lips spoke to Dad several times, without a sound. Then, look towards his father and aunt.

"What's up, Mary?" ask Herms suddenly. Laura was shocked.

"What do you mean, Herms? Marry just kept quiet!"

"I guess he just called me, or is that just my mind?" Herms stood up, approaching Marry. "Maryl?" Touching the daughter's shoulder is just a puppet.

You see the sky there! I feel bad!

Herms suddenly heard Marry's voice. He looked at Marry.

"I hear your voice?

"What?" Laura's approaching.

"Can I hear your heart?" Herms surprised.

"Your strength is back completely! You managed to hold on well." Laura smiled happily

"Well, I should have done it a long time ago." Herms hugged Marry. But, Marry let go of his father's embrace and pointed towards the increasingly dense sky.

"What's up, Marry?" Herms looked in the direction Marry pointed.

"Oh, no!" Laura realized something after looking at the sky. "Didn't Lavender say that they're stuck in the woods of demand and already out of there? I think they found Marry sooner."

"Is it because of the smell?"

"I guess so! We have to hurry Herms. We don't have much time."

"You're right! Lavender miscalculated the day. They'll be up to less than two days." Herms rushed to the room. Carrying some crates and suitcases. "Give me the keys to your car!"

"That-"

"What?"

"I haven't used it long enough, so, it's in the old garage."

Marry looked at Laura annoyed. Whahuh? He got a car? Why did we walk so far that day?

Herms smiled briefly, upon hearing Marry's heart-wrenching chatter.

"I'll fix it, give me the car keys."

"Alena!"

"Yes?"

"Give my car keys to Herms. I have to pack the potion and prepare a meal for Fluffy and Mr. Moo." Laura walked quickly to the kitchen. Alena rushed to the library. Throwing some objects out of the drawer, while Marry stood in confusion in front of the window watching this mess.

"Show me where's his old garage? I don't remember a garage in this house." Herms walks after Alena who shows the place where the garage is located.

They went out and crossed over to the old house across the street. Marry kept watching from the window hoping nothing happened.

"Marry, can you help me prepare this meal!" Laura called.

Marry stood by Laura's side, some kind of greenery was in front of her. There is a fruit basket covered in black napkin makes Marry curious.

Inside are large caterpillars, worms, crickets and brown lizards with original movable loose tails.

"Awh!" Marry grimacing.

"That's disgusting, you have to hold it. Put, the leaves and the plant in the basket." Laura gives an order that makes Mary reluctant to do so.

"Do you want to get caught here? I can't just walk away and leave those creatures."

What creatures?

"Didn't your aunt tell me that she's the ranger of the woods and is in charge of the animals there?" Herms interrupted.

Can you really hear my voice?

"Yes!" Herms nodded while holding a wound on his shoulder. Smiling friendly.

He didn't tell me anything. During the trip to the forest at the border that day, he was just raving about your sister's relationship. That'sthat's all.

They had to go to the forest in order to get to Brockleheart Sky. The forest path became a safe path for forest rangers like Laura.

Marry stopped, he saw blood on Herms' arm.

You're hurt!

"Who? Me?" sahut Herms. Then, look at the injured shoulder.

"What's going on?" tanya Laura sat Herms on the front hood of the car. Checking for wounds that have not healed for days.

"Did I put too many herbs into your medicine? This wound was caused by a silver knife and plant poison!"

"I'm doing fine. Your medicine is very helpful!"

"No Herms! You push yourself too hard, it's dangerous. You need to rest!"

"I'm fine, believe me!"

"The sky is dark. We leave in the morning!" laura takes Herms into the house.

All preparations stopped for a moment. Bringing Herms with such conditions would aggravate his condition. At least by being at home, they stay warm and Herms' wounds won't get worse.
