Early in the morning, Ara and Gio were ready with the thick jacket they were wearing. The sun had not yet shown its form, but the couple had already walked out of their house hand in hand.
Both of them walked to the car garage to pick up the vehicle they were going to use.
"You sure?" ask Gio again.
"You don't want to?" tanya Ara looked down listlessly.
"Not to be, baby. You're afraid to get tired later" said Gio stroking his wife's hair.
"No, no" answered Ara.
Gio sighed resignedly, however if his wife said yes then it must be done immediately. After all this was also his plan, he also wanted to meet and see the final resting place of his eldest son. Yes, last night he suddenly said he wanted to see the child's grave to make Ara immediately agree to it quickly. All this time he did not ask because he thought Gio did not care about his son too much but it turned out he was wrong. She often sees Gio pensive in her study while looking at USG photos of her son that Gio still keeps until now and last night her husband intended to visit her grave. Actually Gio suggested after the birth only for fear of Ara fatigue but Ara refused loudly. She wanted to go to the grave of her first child before she gave birth.
In the course of many things they talked about, ranging from Ara's complaints while pregnant, Ara's condition to Gio's work that seemed to never run out. After about an hour, the car they were riding in arrived at a village that looked so beautiful and clean. The air is far from pollution and far from the noise of the metropolitan city.
"Still far?" ask Gio.
"In a moment, it's in front," answered Ara pointing to a simple whitewashed house.
Gio parked his car in front of the house and then turned to his wife who looked straight at the house right in front of them.
"Why baby?" ask Gio.
Ara turned her head then smiled slightly and shook her head slowly. After a long time, he finally came back to the house he used to live in while in a bad period and himself. The cake shop beside the house was still operating and Aura who Ara gave her trust to manage the shop. Even every pair of eyes that were in the store from earlier stared at Gio's car and waited for the owner to come out.
"Are you okay?" tanya Gio looked at the gloomy face of his wife.
"Well," answered Ara quietly.
"Baby, not naughty, right, baby?" gio asked on his wife's distended stomach. For some reason every mood of his wife decreased, Gio always questioned it. Simply put, he does not want his baby to hurt his beloved, he also does not want anything to happen to the two people who are now the center of his life.
"No papa," answered Ara imitating the voice of a child.
Gio looked up with his faint smile. "Keep why be moody gini?" ask Gio.
"Consider the same as before. This place used to be my escape, where I live just like our children used to be" replied Ara smiling faintly.
Gio shifted his seat closer to Ara and took his wife into his arms. Gently rubbed his wife's back.
"Sorry," said Gio.
"For what?"
"When times are tough, I don't even have any nemanin you like a baby,"
Ara looked up after hearing Gio's reply.
"You were in trouble at the time too. All just misunderstood and at that time we were both trying to maintain each other's lives" said Ara.
"In the past, I was in trouble taking care of myself who was pregnant without a husband but you are also having trouble defending yourself to stay alive and it's all because of me" continued Ara.
"There is nothing to regret, everything has become part of the past and become a valuable lesson in the future. Sorry because I didn't trust you then," Ara tightened her embrace as Gio kissed the top of her head fondly.
"I've never done anything out there, Ra. Whatever is in me, is all yours. I love you so much" said Gio chuckled softly and kissed his wife on her head.
"Yes, I believe it. Yes let's go down, I know to Aura's sister," said Ara took off her embrace. Gio nodded and got out of the car and turned to open the door for his wife.
As the two of them stood together staring at the bustling cake shop, the people there also looked at them with shocked gazes. Whispers began to be heard before the deafening sound of shouting greeted the arrival of the two.
"ARAAAA......"
Aura who was walking behind immediately ran out when she heard the noise in front of her shop and how shocked Aura was when she saw Ara was there.
Without caring for Gio who was standing next to Ara, Aura immediately ran to hug the body of the woman she already considered her sister tightly.
"But you're why you just came here" said Aura not yet take off her arms.
"There's only time sis," replied Ara smiling as she returned Aura's embrace.
"That's kangen. How are you doing?" tanya Aura took off her embrace.
"As you can see," said Ara.
"I'm carrying your bangs," he continued making Aura's eyes glare in surprise.
"Camus is married, when, who is it, why don't you invite me, you forget me?" ask Aura streak.
Ara chuckled with Aura's response. The pregnant woman glanced at Gio who had been silently watching them. A second later, Ara pulled Gio closer making Aura's attention distracted.
"Ara Husband. Not to forget but suddenly brother, sorry not to mention," replied Ara introduced her husband.
"OMG," cried Aura smothering her own mouth.
"This is your husband, this is what you used to tell. Oh my God he is more handsome than the original," said Aura staring unblinkingly at the handsome Gio. The man in a white shirt covered in a black jacket looked very charming in the eyes of Aura.
"Gio. Hi I'm Aura, your wife's sister," said Aura cutting off Ara's words and shaking Gio's hand. While the man just nodded stiffly.
"He was my friend here, he always took care of me" Ara said.
Gio nodded slowly and said, "Thank you" he said slowly.
"Thank you for accompanying Ara when I wasn't around" Gio repeated as he looked at the bewildered look Aura showed.
"No problem, she's my sister so I should have accompanied her" Aura said.
"You're here for another need?" tanya Aura switched the conversation.
"You'll see the baby" replied Ara.
"Baby dede," Aura's parrot did not understand but the next second immediately nodded in understanding.
"Yes, if so, I continue to work first," said the sweet woman who was embraced by Ara and Gio.
"Come," Ara pulled Gio to come with her.
...❤❤...
Gio was silent looking at the mound of land that had been overgrown with weeds with a gravestone board that read Kanara Anggi Ananda. True, the first child Ara and Gio who had gone before Ara gave the name Kanara. The child who used to be Ara was a female. The daughter that Gio had not seen, the daughter that he did not know of her presence at all. His heart was so painful to see the small mound in front of him. The man's eyes did not move from the mound of land that was slowly clean because his wife's tiny hands were constantly pulling weeds that grew around the grave of his son.
Gio and Ara were now in the grave of the child who was right behind the house. There was no sound, only a gust of wind and a grumpy grumpy sound from Ara who was sitting beside Gio while cleaning his daughter's grave.
With trembling hands, Gio turned to gently rub the child's headstone. His gaze was nanar and coated in a clear liquid that was ready to shed at any time.
"Assalamu'alaikum beautiful child," he said.
"It's papa dear," he continued. His breath choked when he said that sentence. 'Papa'? Is it still appropriate for him to call himself papa in front of this daughter, even the presence of his first child is not at all known.
"Papa Apologizes just came by now. Papa apologizes for just knowing you were there when you were not here with papa mama. Papa apologizes for not being able to look after you. Papa apologizes because you can't feel papa's affection. Papa apologized dear," raced Gio in a soft voice while looking down firmly grasping the ground before him. Really, he could not bear the pain of his heart when he remembered his daughter did not get his affection at all.
Ara stroked Gio's back trying to calm down. The woman did not cry even though she could not deny her heart throbbing pain to see Gio and remember her son who had accompanied her through life that almost made her give up.
"Gii.." call her soft.
Gio ignored that, he was busy crying out for his stupidity and regret. While Ara was silent again while continuing to rub her husband's back.
"Everything has passed. Dede baby must have been an angel up there, waiting for us to gather again later. Don't cry Gii, I used to always tell her about you and her" Ara said as she waited for a few minutes to hear Gio's cries.
"I've always said that his father was a great man, always managed to protect his mother and always loved his mother,"
"If you cry like this, he must be sad," said Ara made Gio look at him.
"Don't cry anymore, now we send prayers for Kana to continue to enter the break," said Ara. Gio nodded and did as Ara said.
After sending a prayer to his daughter, Gio and Ara went back into the house and here they are now, the room that Ara occupied first. This house is still maintained because Aura who diligently hired people to clean it.
Gio who is usually active after the tomb was more silent while hugging his wife's body. Ara also did not intend to make a sound, just busy stroking the back and hair of the husband.
"Wouldn't you be fussy?" gio asked suddenly after a long moment of silence.
"No. During pregnancy I never vomited and almost never cravings, everything smoothly without obstacles. He seemed to understand because I was no longer the same papa," Ara replied softly.
How could she not cry when she remembered her first child ? Yes, of course, because he has given everything and has made peace with the circumstances and the past. No, not because she's pregnant again. She just didn't want to get so wrapped up in grief and make her little baby who was already in heaven sad too.
"Sorry," muttered Gio quietly.
Ara looked down at Gio's eyes which were also looking up at him. The woman's thin smile made Gio's heart a little calmer. After tucking her husband's lips a glance, Ara rubbed Gio's hair gently.
"No need to apologize. I told you, just make it a lesson, do not be taken continuously and used as a regret," said the woman.
"Nothing's wrong. At that time our state and universe were indeed being impartial, not papa, precisely because of that I even you become stronger now,"
"Don't apologize, don't regret it" Pinta Ara said.
Gio nodded as he tightened his embrace on Ara.
"It's very dear to you" he said slowly.
Ara's smile expands. Every day Gio never misses expressing his feelings to her. Will always express his love and affection for Ara.
"You want to go for a walk?" ask Ara.
"The clash, still wants to be hugged," replied Gio who was understood by Ara.
The two went back into silence until Ara fell asleep due to Gio's gentle strokes on her back. Gio slowly changes his position, making his arm partially abort Ara. One of his hands turned to stroke his wife's distended stomach.
"It's lucky to have you" whispered Gio, peeping Ara's lips at a glance.
