Gio fixes the blanket while rubbing the back of his wife who is now a henchman in his arms. After his parents came home, Gio took Ara back to the room and put his wife to sleep.
"Gio.." call Ara.
Gio slightly broke his embrace and looked at his wife's eyes that looked so fresh still looking at him.
"Why not sleep?" tanya Gio rubbed Ara's head.
"Why are you here mommy?" ask Ara in the end. She waited for Gio to tell her but until now her husband was still silent until he finally asked directly.
Gio chuckled softly, "so haven't slept from earlier because of that?" tanyanya answered nods.
Gio kissed his wife's forehead at a glance and then hugged Ara back tightly, securing his wife's position so that she could sleep comfortably.
"I said," annoyed Ara smacked Gio's chest softly.
"Well, why would they want to see their children, wrong?" ask Gio.
"Iissh wasn't what I meant,"
"Haha. Yes yes, sorry. They came to look at us" Gio replied later.
"Are they not angry?"
"No,"
"I can,"
"It can, though,"
"Gioooooo...."
Hearing his wife's whining, Gio laughed even more. It was so nice to see Ara upset.
"I'm serious, baby. They're here because they're not angry anymore, I've given you my blessing and you'll have our reception in a week,"
"Huh,"
Ara slightly distanced her body from Gio when she heard the husband's explanation. Clear it like that, but it feels impossible, will it be that fast.
"Why?" asked Gio frowning confusedly.
"Are you serious?" ask Ara again.
"Seriously dear. So you don't get sapped, next week we have a reception,"
"But Gio..."
"That's my mother's request, I can't argue at all. I was going to refuse, too, but you're still stubborn,"
Ara sighed softly, she actually did not really want such a reception. Especially if the event really happened, it would be very draining to wait for the invited guests that even Ara was sure would be very much, considering that her father-in-law was not an arbitrary person.
"No papa, right?" gio asked when he saw the look on Ara's face.
"Well, I don't know" answered Ara, giving in.
"Oh yeah, I told you to go back to work at the company, what do you think?"
"Kok me?"
"Well, you're my wife, there must be the consent of the doang wife,"
"But his hand is still wound,"
Ara grabbed Gio's hand wrapped in bandages, the hand she said was injured by her new job.
"No papa, it's dry" said Gio.
"It's not the cooperation of my dear father, rather return to my company. It's mine,"
"Compulsive,"
Gio laughed again and hugged Ara with anxiety. His wife is really adorable. How could Gio calm down if Ara was with someone else. No, no one can take Ara from her. Even if he had to fight desperately to defend his wife, then Gio would do it in any way.
"Can I ask you something?" tanya Gio made Ara look up at him.
"What?"
"You quit your job, huh?"
...🌻🌻...
Ara stood in front of the restaurant where she worked during her return here, a place that had a lot of services for her, a place where she could make ends meet every day before Gio returned. Early in the morning Ara came here to convince herself of the decision she was going to make. Last night, Gio wanted to stop working, but Ara had not answered and Gio did not force her. It felt too hard to leave the job that also included his hobby, but anyway, Ara had made her choice. He will resign and will focus on his new profession as a wife and mother later.
Before Gio left for work and drove him, Gio gave a message that after work Ara should meet him at the office. I don't know why but Ara just followed. From here, she will meet her husband.
With a slow sigh, Ara stepped into the large restaurant. It was not the kitchen he was going to but the manager's room. After arriving and knocking on the door, Ara stepped in when the voice from within had already allowed her to enter.
Ara looked at the figure of the man she was so familiar with already sitting in the office chair of her manager's room. Ara's forehead wrinkled in confusion as she watched Aldi sit down and greeted him with a sweet smile.
"Cock you here?" ask Ara who is still standing not far from Aldi's table.
"Sit down first, it's later," Aldi replied.
Ara snorted and then sat down in front of Aldi, staring at the man still in confusion.
"I've been transferred to work here, I've changed your boss" the man replied.
Ara nodded her head in understanding and then took out a letter from the sling bag she was carrying and thrust it in front of Aldi's desk.
Now it was Aldi's turn to look at Ara in confusion. From his gaze, Aldi seemed to ask "what is this?"
"From today on, I'm self-defeating. I don't work here anymore" said Ara, making Aldi look at him quickly.
"Why?"
"You want to focus on a new career, same,"
"New career, you got a new job, where?" ask Aldi.
Ara shook her head before saying, "career as a wife" she chuckled.
Aldi blinked his eyes as if he could not believe Ara's words. Wife ? Ara is married? But with whom?. Honestly, in his little heart, Aldi felt hurt to hear Ara's confession. It turned out that the woman he had always loved was married to someone else, she was late, again.
"When are you married, who is it?" ask Aldi streak.
"His father is a baby" Ara replied without hesitation.
"Cock?" Aldi was more confused, did Ara hate the man, then why now choose to marry him.
"The story is long, obviously all just a misunderstanding," said Ara answered Aldi's confusion.
"You sure?" ask Aldi.
"meaning?" Ara asked back with a frown that was getting confused.
"You're sure he doesn't hurt you anymore, I'm a man and I know. He's afraid he'll just have something to go back to, and then leave again. Can make him just make up if it's a misunderstanding just to trick you," replied Aldi.
The stern changed instantly. She does not like Aldi to mock Gio who incidentally her own husband. How could Aldi say that, how could he assume that Gio was just playing games, while her husband almost killed Ken yesterday because he thought Ken caused his son to die, he even defies his parents, takes off all his luxuries, willing to become a chef and dishwasher just to finance him. Is all that is not enough to give evidence if Gio really really mean it. Ara who knows Gio is a man who is so respectful to both his parents, considers his parents the center of his life will not believe if Gio opposes his father and his mother if only to play tricks on him, he also will not marry her as he is today.
"This is my resignation letter, I say goodbye," Ara immediately moved and turned to leave Aldi who had just realized his words. Really, he didn't mean to offend Ara. While the woman had stepped away leaving Aldi who still voiced his name.
