Chapter 34: Increasing the Ice Element

The natural energy in Ryo's body was activated by the Chakra. What he did not expect was that natural energy did not have to be deliberately directed to be able to merge with the Chakra.

Each time the Chakra merged with that energy passed through a part of his body, that part would turn into ice, and the natural energy within that Chakra would be reabsorbed.

So once the ice element is full, all the natural energy in Ryo's body will be integrated into his Ice body and can be mobilized at any time.

Ryo tries Jutsu Ice release while in that state of elemenization. It was just as Fukasaku explained.

The natural energy within his body was the first to fluctuate . Then part of it enters the water that he will freeze. What happened then was that the energy of Nature in the air would be attracted by Ryo's own natural energy. It pushes the natural energy of the external wind into the water, freezing it.

Whenever the natural energy within him is consumed completely (because freezing requires a lot of natural energy), Ryo's body cannot equip it with external energy, so Chakra is used as a self-regulating mechanism.

After several experiments, Ryo became convinced that the key to his Ice Elementization was this internal natural energy. It is activated by the Chakra, and is attracted to external natural energy. But it had no other effect than its regular counterpart.

So he called Fukasaku, and told him about the progress he was making. However, he was hiding the part about this internal natural energy.

“Ryo chan, you already understand the energy of nature. Now you need to feel it around you. By feeling it flow into you using oil, you have to understand that feeling and translate it into making it flow into you without oil.”

Since he didn't need to worry that Ryo would be overwhelmed by the natural energy, Fukasaku only came to help him when he needed guidance. He spent his time training Jiraya elsewhere.

In Manga, the time it takes for Jiraya to master the Sage mode is not very precise. Ryo also had no idea when he was there to learn it.

Today, since the two of them were disciples at Myoboku Mountain, so Jiraya was actually, senpai Ryo!

Ryo tries to use what he learned about the external attraction of the Natural Chakra to himself, by exposing his natural energy to the outside world. The wind and water part of the external natural energy was pulled into itself like a moth into a flame.

Using that accumulated energy; he tried to use the release of Ice, and what happened was that none of his Chakras were used except for the one he needed for the release of water.

The problem of excessive use of chakra in its ice mode was finally solved after many years.

Ryo finally felt comfortable. But then he discovered the weakness of this technique. Due to the mobilization of part of his internal Natural Ninjutsu, he could not really complete the elemenization. There was always a part of his body that was the size of a palm that did not turn into ice. Such a thing could be a fatal weakness for him in battle.

Ryo reabsorbed his natural energy, and the external energy he gathered started to slowly dissipate.

“If only I could collect it and save it!” Ryo thought hard.

He felt the natural energy trapped in the seal and he knew it could seal the natural energy.

So Jiraya went on and changed the seal release mode.

After being changed by Jiraya, the seal was still not comparable to Tsunade's. It can be released at will whenever it has Chakra in it, with the ability to turn it off as well. But the weak point is that it can only be replenished once it is completely drained.
