05. The Lantara City Mission

"Where are you going?" chriss asked as Ijima stuffed some clothes into a sizable bag.

Ijima turned a glance and continued his activities packing things, "I'll join the mission this time."

"I will not allow you, it will be dangerous if you die later" Chriss refused and put his robe of greatness on the side of the bed.

"Your Majesty, we have a deal. Neither you nor I can forbid what we will do" Ijima said.

"You're my wife."

"Isn't it good if I die? You can confuse Maki's daughter" Ijima said as she closed her bag and placed the object in the corner of the room.

Chriss blocked the girl's wrist, "According to my orders as your king, I said no yes no!"

"Your Majesty," said Ijima slowly, she slowly brushed off her husband's hand, "According to my request as your wife."

It's useless for Chriss to forbid Ijima this time, with an incontestable heart the man allowed his wife to leave.

"Shwan, I miss you, miss you so much" muttered Ijima holding her beloved silver bracelet.

The night air was getting colder, Ijima was more reluctant to move, he felt the night wind piercing his skin, his eyes closed slowly while humming.

The kingdom of Asteria looked crowded because their Queen was sick, the ladies passed by. Queen Ryoika is sick thinking about her daughter's fate. King Oda looked at his wife who was lying weakly.

"Ryoika," called King Oda softly, the man sat on the edge of the bed, his right hand raised to stroke the top of his wife's head.

"Your majesty, I'm afraid" said Queen Ryoika in a trembling voice, the woman unceasingly crying over Ijima's fate.

"Sstt..set your mind at ease, everything will be fine," comforted the real King Oda who was also worried about his daughter.

"Ijima will be killed, your majesty. Please bring Ijima back, I regret agreeing to the marriage, I regret," cried Queen Ryoika who made King Oda powerless to hold back her tears.

King Oda touched Queen Ryoika's two cheeks gently, "I can't do it, I am indeed a selfish human being. I've had you expelled from the kingdom of heaven and now Ijima is bearing the consequences of my nature, sorry Ryoika I don't want any more wars."

When the mission time comes, all the teams gather in the academy yard, Ijima coolly chat with Anya, Awldo stared fixedly at Ijima. The look in her eyes seemed to be unacceptable if the girl had become the wife of Neoma's leader.

"How dare the murderer marry Miss, I can't accept that Mr. Shwan's lover suffers like this" Awldo said, suddenly he got a deathly look from Anya as soon as the man took his eyes off her.

"Aaa-Ijima, what a pity you are because Chriss loves me more," the arrogant, horse-drawn girl who was suddenly near Ijima.

Ijima smiled faintly, "I never expected her majesty to love me, daughter Maki."

Anya looked on dislike of Helios' royal daughter, "If you're here just to denounce my friend you'd better leave before I break your hand."

"Anya," Ijima reprimanded, got the reprimand Anya just grumbled softly.

"Hahaha.why are you so submissive to a grand-devotee." A hand strangled Maki's neck so that the girl could not continue her humiliation.

The owner of the hand turns out to be Awldo, he presses his fingers which makes Maki even more hit the man's arm, "I won't let anyone insult Mr. Shwan's lover."

Ijima holds Awldo's hand, asking him to release Maki if Chriss finds out that the masked man is in danger.

"Awldo, what are you doing" said Ijima holding both arms of Awldo.

"The mouth is very dirty," Awldo replied briefly, the net could not be separated from Maki who ran away in a storm approaching his group.

"Your majesty can kill you" Ijima recalled.

"Don't call the killer by his polite nickname, he doesn't deserve it!" In that instant, Awldo regretted his words.

"Killer?" tanya Ijima did not understand.

"Forget it" Awldo said, switching the conversation. Ijima was becoming more curious.

Now they all leave for the city of Lantana, according to the news. The city was filled with high-class criminals and therefore they had to be careful.

"Our mission this time is looking for the deer emblem, and the emblem is only owned by the officials," Tsukasa explained reading a small note.

"To meet an official there is very difficult, most likely we will be greeted with a sharp sword," added Awldo who focused his chin on his right hand.

The silver-haired girl gulped down the hard-earned saliva, "I'm sorry if I'm always bothering you guys, even though I'm a descendant of a goddess but I'm not as good as the other goddess's offspring."

Their journey takes two days, each team gets a different mission.

"Is this the famous sacred forest?" tsukasa asked as the car they were riding on passed through a dark path, towering trees as well as the eerie sound of owls.

Awldo nodded, the hunter was no longer surprised by this kind of atmosphere. Awldo's view leads to a hut not far from where they are.

The cottage belongs to the White Clerk.

"The wind is getting colder" lamented Ijima rubbing both palms against the direction.

Awldo took a quick glance and took off his robe and told Ijima to put it on.

"No need, Awldo. I can hold it," Ijima refused.

The man forced his robe onto Ijima's body, "I know that you can't stand the night air."

Ijima looked surprised, "How do you know?"

Awldo chuckles at Ijima's stupidity, "I'm the sister of Shwan Nakamura, your ex-lover. Brother often told me about yourself."

Both of Ijima's cheeks heated up, he turned his face trying to cover up the embarrassment. Quietly Awldo edits a smile from behind his mask.

Their journey continues, sometimes they stop to take water or just relax for a moment.

Now they have arrived at a large gate that reads Lantara, the three people's neutrals continue to roll here and there while getting off the horse carriage.

"They can appear at any time" Awldo recalled, then pulled out his weapon.

Tsukasa and Ijima nodded, they also prepared weapons. The three people stepped into the city.Puing debris scattered buildings, Ijima did not expect the city like this is still inhabited.
