Meet Queen Evelyn

Elena and Hotaru agree to meet with the Queen at the place listed in her letter. As they were near, Prince Ferdian appeared and blocked their journey.

"It is not good for a beautiful girl to walk in this quiet and dark passageway. Do you want me to be accompanied?" asked Ferdian who was staring at them, more precisely Elena seductively.

Hotaru rolled her eyes panted, "We just want to take a walk. You better get back to rest" he said coldly.

Ferdian did not hear Hotaru's words and touched Elena's chin with his index finger, "What about you, dear Yue?"

Elena sighed softly, "Stay away from me," he said as he brushed off the young man's finger.

Ferdian's gaze sharpened, "Do you deserve to behave like that in front of your savior?" He clenched his hands firmly because the girl always rejected him.

Elena gave a faint grin hearing her reply, "I've already replied to her by calling your sister who then brought the healer," she explained lightly.

Ferdian gripped Elena's face firmly, "You know I want you. Then why do you always reject me? What is less than me?!" snapped it.

Hotaru who had just been silent was getting fed up with Prince Ferdian's behavior, "Keep your hands off him!" he said the one who tried to take the young man's hand off Elena's face.

Ferdian looked at Hotaru sharply and clawed at her, "Don't try to block me!" snapped it. Hotaru took a few steps back while holding her hand.

Later, Ferdian gasped as he smelled the scent of Hotaru's blood coming from his scratch. He released a stranglehold on Elena's face and drew closer to Hotaru.

Elena threw a small dagger that stuck in front of her, "If you cross the line I made, I won't be disinclined by you!" he said as he walked towards Hotaru.

Ferdian laughed at Elena's bluff, "Hahaha, what can you humans do? Complain to my father? Please. I think he will support my actions" he replied, underestimating them.

Elena turned her gaze to Hotaru who was still holding onto her wound. He tore off the robe he was wearing and bandaged Hotaru's wounds.

"Elena.." whispered Hotaru in a voice that was almost inaudible.

The one called out was just silent and cleaned the blood droplets with his handkerchief that had been mixed in something.

"Don't go anywhere" whispered Elena who was responded with a nod by Hotaru.

The aura around them turned extremely cold as Elena stood up and stared at Ferdian sharply. While Ferdian looked at her with a gaze that seemed to adore the beauty and kindness of the girl before him.

"I will call the physician to treat him, on condition...." Ferdian spread out his arms, "You must come to my arms."

Elena scolded, "It's hard to talk to a donkey who's just obsessed with lust" she said with a disdainful look.

Ferdian's jaw hardened hearing Elena's harsh words, "You....!"

"Stop!" scream someone.

They all looked to the source of the voice. In the darkness, a woman in a simple dress appeared and approached those who were about to fight.

Elena's brows furrowed as she looked at it, "Queen's Aunt?" his question was answered by a nod by the woman.

Then, he approached Elena and picked up the injured Hotaru. Ferdian looked at his arrival with a contemptuous look.

"Why are you here?" ask Ferdian

"I just want to stop you from trying to hurt them."

"Be quiet, jal*ng! You're just my father's slave. Don't act like you're the Queen and my mother! Be aware of your position, Evelyn!"

Elena looked at the Queen or Evelyn who was looking down. Then, he turned his gaze to Ferdian, "I don't know what your problem is, but.." Elena's gaze grew sharper, "I don't like your presumptuous words to him."

"You're defending that cheap lady?" asked Ferdian while pointing at Evelyn. "alright. But don't regret what you did. Especially with your rejection of me!" reply with shiny eyes.

Ferdian ran over by taking out his claws that wanted to injure them. Elena who felt that this was not the right time to strike back, took out a smoke bomb that made the young man retreat and covered his nose. Elena took advantage of the opportunity by taking Hotaru and Evelyn away from their place. As the smoke dissipated, Ferdian was furious when he saw them go on the run.

They arrived at a place close to the holding room. Elena set up a formation so that their existence would be invisible to anyone.

Elena sat down and patted Evelyn on the shoulder, "Auntie, are you okay?"

"I. uhuk-uhuk, fine, Miss," replied Evelyn who felt tight.

Elena took out two pills for them, "The smoke bomb I threw was poisonous. So drink this," he said. Hotaru and Evelyn immediately swallowed the medicine.

Hotaru heaved a sigh of relief as they were already safe from the annoying young man. But something made him curious.

"Auntie, sorry if I was a little presumptuous. But, what did that man mean?" hotaru asked slowly.

"That's.." Evelyn's body trembled slightly.

Elena clasped her hands, "Aunt Eve, you are the only person who is kind to us in this place full of tricks. So, you don't have to hesitate. I will help you as much as I can" he said gently.

Evelyn wiped her dripping tears, "Actually, I am a mid-level witch. Although I am not an expert in combat, I have strong healing powers. Because of this, the king devised a battle scheme between werewolves and vampires just to kidnap me."

"Fierce warfare makes casualties. I, who was separated from my son and husband, was taken by them secretly. When I got here, they gave me a fake face mask to cover my identity. From then on, I became a slave of their leader," he replied. Then, he tore off his mask and his real face was seen.

"Then, why did auntie tell Uncle Alaric's location? What's your relationship with him?" elena asked confusedly.

Evelyn smiled softly, "I am Kenzo's wife. Also in-law of the leader of the Corleon Pack."

Elena and Hotaru were in shock upon hearing her confession, "Huh?"

"But, why didn't Uncle Kenzo ever tell you about you?" asked Elena who immediately came to her senses from her surprise.

"He is a person who always keeps his feelings alone. I don't know how they are doing now" he replied with a dimmed look.

Hotaru wiped Evelyn's tears, "Don't worry, aunt. You'll see her again soon."

"There was someone who told me once, 'The destined couple will always be together again, no matter what separates them.' I think it happened to you, Aunt Eve, too" Elena replied.

Evelyn was stunned for a moment, "Where did you hear that?"

"That's.ehm, I don't know myself," Elena replied with an awkward laugh.

"Sorry, I can't tell you yet, Auntie." she said.

"Faster is better. Because I heard their marriage is going fast. Besides..anu..sorry, may I know what your names are?" evelyn asked as she looked at them.

Elena and Hotaru introduced themselves to each other. Evelyn nodded, "So. Your name is quite unique."

"We go on to the topic. Elena, from now on you mustn't let your guard down. Not a bit." he continued.

"What's the matter, auntie?" ask Elena.

"From the King and Ferdian's treatment, it looks like they're going to perform a ritual slavery on you. If it works, you won't be able to get away from it. Unless he dies." Evelyn replied with a lowered gaze.

"Did you eat the food and medicine they gave you when you first got here?" ask Evelyn.

"Of course not. Because it's been burned by Elena," replied Hotaru.

Evelyn let out a sigh of relief, "Thank God. Looks like you've known everything from the beginning huh?" He looked at Elena who was grinning thinly.

"Hehehe. Although their plan looks perfect, but I can see everything that is awkward" Elena said with a small laugh.

Hotaru puffed her cheeks, "Uhh.you still didn't tell me what you saw. You suck."

"Oh, you two. Better, we go to where Alaric is locked up" Evelyn said.

Then, Elena made a translucent formation and they walked towards the direction that Evelyn had pointed. At the end of that prison room, there was one room with a specially locked door. They were able to enter it because of Elena's formation. There was a man in tattered clothes sleeping in that prison room. Then, they came out of that place because they did not want to disturb him.

"Auntie, it's better for a few days that you sleep in our room. I'm afraid they'll do something to you" Elena said.

"Right is what he said. I'm sure the mad prince will complain about what just happened to his father. It's for your safety, aunt." replied Hotaru who agreed with Elena.

"Uh.uhm, alright." Evelyn replied with a slight hesitation.

Tok tok tok tok

"Please come in."

An incoming bodyguard lowered his head, "Miss Yue, His Majesty the King is calling you."

"alright. Wait for me outside." Elena replied. The guard is gone.

Hotaru sneered, "It's really amazing huh, we just talked about him. Eh called right away," he said, shaking his head.

Evelyn held Elena's hand, "Be careful, baby."

"Thank you for worrying, Auntie. Hotaru, please take care of Aunt Eve." said Elena who was nodding back by the concerned.

Then, Elena was escorted by the bodyguards to the King's study. After that, Elena entered alone.

"Uncle of the King."

"Welcome to my room, Yue. Please sit down."

Elena stared at the wooden chair before her elaborately, "Heh, it turns out that she still had a chance too huh. Really sneaky." her inner.

"What did my uncle call me?" ask Elena after she sits down.

"I've heard your rejection from Prince Ferdian. Why are you doing it?" ask the King back.

"I don't like being forced. No matter how great he is, I will reject him if he is not the man I love." Elena replied with a light smile.

"Ah, so. Then, why did you bring my Queen to your room?"

Elena put on a sad face, "We just want to feel the affection of a Mother. Is the Queen's Aunt not with us?" ask her with sadness.

The King gasped to see Elena's reaction, "That's it.ehem, of course you can. At least you should tell me first. That way, I won't be angry" he said.

"Good, uncle."

Elena rubbed her eyes, "Uh, uncle. Can I get out? I want to sleep."

"Before you leave, I want to tell you that my daughter's marriage will be accelerated. About two more days. Don't forget to be prepared." said the King enthusiastically.

"Good, uncle. Then I'll go first."

"Please."

After Elena left, Prince Ferdian emerged from the back of the closet and looked at Elena intently.

"How, dad?"

"Don't worry, he doesn't know the traps we've set. Tomorrow you can see the reaction."

Ferdian smirked, "Now you'll be mine!"

Outside the study, the invisible Elena only smirked when she heard the father and son talk. Then she returned to her room to sleep quietly with Aunt Evelyn and Hotaru before making new plans.
