Two days later, the group of gods who had not left after the celestial banquet gathered at the front gate of the Sky Palace. They were preparing to return to their respective places after finishing their affairs in this grand place. Some flew away and disappeared, some still talking to others. Maybe it was a farewell to them.
In a corner of Fengyun Palace, Feng Shang was instead contemplating on his study table. Yue Ming looked at her in surprise. The maharani should have ushered in the departure of the gods before the gate, not even pensive here alone. Yue Ming persuaded her, but Feng Shang remained unwilling to leave.
"If you continue to stay here, you might miss your farewell to Great God Yongheng."
Yue Ming tried to persuade her to join us in ushering in the departure of the god guests. However, it seemed that Feng Shang was not interested in it at all. Either because he really didn't like the smell of goodbye, or because he didn't want to see the guy leave.
"Delivered or not, will eventually remain separated anyway, right?" he said to Yue Ming.
"You sure you're gonna miss this opportunity?"
"Why indeed? Great Lord Yongheng has no deep connection with me. Go or it doesn't feel the same."
"You're lying to yourself again."
Yue Ming gave up on persuading her. That stubborn Feng Shang was left alone with his ego in Fengyun Palace, while he himself went to see the entourage. At the gate of the Sky Palace, one by one the gods began to disappear.
"He's not coming?" ask Yongheng. Yue Ming shook his head.
"Maharani won't go even if I have persuaded her."
Yongheng smiled slightly. He knew this was going to happen. Although his relationship with Feng Shang had been quite good lately, it didn't mean that the two were truly familiar. His relationship with Feng Shang was indeed not close enough, and he could not hope for much.
Yongheng wanted to deepen it, but fate did not allow it. Now he had to part with her for a long time, because even though the East Sea was not that far away, there were still many things to take care of after these hundreds of thousands of years. I don't know when he has time to go back to this palace. It's even harder than the human world.
"At least he can take me as the Sky Empress. Goddess Yue Ming, give my regards to her, also beg you to hand this thing over to her," continued Yongheng as he handed her a beautiful lotus leaf fan.
Yue Ming nodded, then turned around to return to Fengyun Palace. Yongheng had already disappeared behind the clouds along with some of his subordinates. The Nine Heavens Realm was so bright then, even the heavenly birds just flew to and fro cheerfully. The messenger gods had already left, and only the god ministers and the others were left in this palace.
When Yue Ming returned to Fengyun Palace, he did not find Feng Shang anywhere. There was no trace of where the woman went. No one knew that Feng Shang had secretly disguised himself as an insect and flew into the entrance gate of the Sky Palace.
Perhaps he was embarrassed to appear before Yongheng, or perhaps he could not see the person leave. After all, these short few days gave quite an impression to him. Feng Shang looked at his departure, seeing that the stocky body clad in extremely fine white silk was slowly disappearing behind the clouds.
I don't know why his heart feels empty. The bright and bustling Sky Palace felt desolate like it was uninhabited. Feng Shang was unable to feel the crowd as usual, or the moments when the celestial banquet took place. Probably not, because his heart was attached to the figure of a great god.
"What's wrong with me today?" ask him to yourself. Feng Shang submerged himself in the sky pool then occasionally gushed his head. The water here was so fresh and cold filled with spiritual aura, and it was his favorite place.
I don't know since when he started to sink into that cozy atmosphere. Closing his eyes, his celestial spirit had involuntarily ventured into the Realm of Nothingness, to a place he had once visited but had not imprinted in his memory.
There, he met again with the sky spirit of Lord Chang Yuan who was about to perish. It felt like deja vu, and Feng Shang was unable to describe it. He looked at the sky spirit God Chang Yuan smiled at him and said, "Shang'er, your destiny has not been cut off."
Feng Shang was really tired of being played with. The memory clearly showed that he was involved in Yongheng's revival, and his majesty had made the figure attached to him. But as loud as anything and clear as that memory was, Feng Shang always felt that something was wrong. To be more precise, he was doubtful of his own memories.
"Do you know anything?" asked Feng Shang to Lord Chang Yuan.
"Isn't it clear? What you see is reality."
"I really woke him up? Can that person come back?"
The meaning of his words was referring to a person named Shen Yi. The memory tells that the figure of the Great God Yongheng before rising up was a mortal man named Shen Yi, who somehow had a faint god consciousness. Clearly it was an oddity, and Feng Shang was even stranger because he felt his heart tremble as soon as he remembered Shen Yi's name.
The god Chang Yuan laughed. To him, the Heaven Empress and Great God Yongheng were truly a unity. They had already been given a flash of their life memories, yet did not dare to deduce it themselves. Feng Shang and Yongheng both did not understand and were aware of their own feelings.
The god Chang Yuan then collected a flash of memory and gave it to Feng Shang. That golden light-like glint slowly entered Feng Shangs head. The woman closed her eyes and began to absorb everything. Not only his brain, but it was connected into his heart as well.
Feng Shang suddenly regained his senses. He lifted his head from the pool. His face showed an expression that was difficult to decipher. His mouth was tightly locked as if he was not allowed to speak. His hand rubbed the wet face, and without feeling anything dripping from the eyes that were staring blankly at the pool of the sky.
That's all that came out of his mouth. The tears melted like a creek, yet his gaze was still empty. His forehead creased deeply, then he held onto his chest that was hurting. His phoenix wing mark lit up and that power made the sky pond turbulent.
Feng Shang remembered it. The god Chang Yuan made him vividly recall the incident. Everything was. Everything is very clear and now feels left a mark. He who was previously unsure of himself and did not dare to believe the flash of memory now knows everything.
He was Feng Shangyue, and Yongheng was Shen Yi!
These two are a pair of people who have been bound by destiny, and have lived sad days together! That place, that place he remembered it too! His memories of life on earth with Shen Yi had returned!
Seeing the sky pool suddenly churning, Yue Ming immediately walked up to Feng Shang. He was surprised to see the Heavenly Empress crying while staring blankly at the turbulent water, he also saw the signs of the phenical light on her body.
"Maharani! What's going on?" yue Ming asked in panic.
"Yue Ming's... Shen Yi's... Yongheng...."
As Feng Shang was fumbling indistinctly, Yue Ming immediately helped him out of the pond. He wiped it back to Fengyun Palace and put it to sleep on the bed. Soon, he called Si Ming despite knowing that he was not a healer god. His feelings said that he should summon the Goddess of Destiny.
Si Ming came shortly after. Feng Shangs state was quite alarming when he arrived there. Feng Shang seemed to be asleep, yet his face was clearly not peaceful at all. There was something that stuck in his heart, something that troubled his soul to such an extent.
Si Ming instantly opened the records in the newly formed Feng Shang destiny book a while ago. His eyes widened to see a bunch of writing scratched inside the previously empty book. Slowly characters after characters appear in sequence, forming a story note.
"Si Ming, what's wrong?" asked Yue Ming.
"Maharani's... He didn't go to the mortal realm..."
"Whatchu mean? Didn't he go to the mortal realm to recuperate? Not goin? Aren't you the one who drove his soul core out of the Nine Heavens Realm?"
"Not mortal nature here. But another mortal realm. The Empress had discovered the remnant soul core of Great God Yongheng in the human incarnation. They were together."
"You mean, the Empress who resurrected the Great God Yongheng?"
Yue Ming nodded. He also did not expect that the story of Feng Shang's journey in his recovery turned out to be connected to the resurrection of the great god. Moreover, in a different place to the Nine Heavens Realm.
"Did he remember?" asked Yue Ming back.
"Seeing from the circumstances, it seems like the Empress has regained her memories," Si Ming replied.
"Then does the Great God Yongheng remember him?"
Si Ming shook his head. "I don't know. But he should have started to remember it even though it was vague. No wonder they both came to my place. This is what they want to know."
"Goddess Si Ming, has the Empress and the Great God been together in that world?"
"Maybe."
"It's fitting that the two have been so close lately. Apparently, their destiny had already begun in that world. Is this a good or bad thing? The Empress held control over the three worlds, the Great God was the ruler of the East Sea. If they were together, would it impact everything?"
"I can't answer it. Maharani and the Great God outside my power. But, I hope it's a good thing."
"Then what should we do? He seemed to be very sad after his memories returned. Goddess Si Ming, can you erase her memories?"
"can't. The life memory of Empress Feng was a miracle. We cannot remove it" Si Ming said. But, Yue Ming was also worried that it would torture Feng Shang slowly.
"I'm sure Maharani Feng knows enough how he should behave. The East Sea was definitely not a place with fond memories for him. Also, he must be aware of his responsibility towards the world and will not dissolve in his own personal feelings.'
