The Eternal Phoenix Queen

The Eternal Phoenix Queen
Eps. 71: Awake

The white mist that had enveloped Fengyun Palace for some time disappeared as a glowing blue powder flew into his magnificent building. The heavenly birds again flashed on it, sprinkling spiritual powder that could add to ten years of cultivation training. The glowing powder that entered the palace then entered into the body of the Heavenly Empress who was lying in her contest.

Yue Ming was immediately overjoyed as he felt the re-presence of the heavenly goddess lord. He was completely blown away as the goddess's plump eyelids slowly moved and opened. Yue Ming immediately burst into his embrace, while slightly crying. However, the one he hugged actually looked dazed.

"Maharani, you're finally back," Yue Ming said filled with water. Finally, the maharani awoke after a long sleep.

"How long have I been asleep?"

"Just one month, Empress."

Feng Shang massaged his head. He stared at the decor of his room, and it was still the same detail he had seen before falling asleep. The only thing different is his feelings. Feng Shang groped his body, and found that the wound from the seal repair last time had healed. His strength also returned, while the mark of divinity on his forehead reappeared.

"One month? Why do I feel like I've been asleep for so long?" ask Feng Shang. Yue Ming counted uncertainly, but the duration of the maharani's sleep in his recovery was indeed one month. That amount was shorter than the time it took for other gods to undergo his training in the mortal realm.

"Did you remember anything?"

Feng Shang shook his head. His memory stopped until the moment he returned to Fengyun Palace, then fell asleep. But, it felt like he had ventured into another world, yet the memory was completely faint. Feng Shang was not even sure if it was really his memory or just a hallucination of his thoughts alone. A god who undergoes training or recovery of strength by becoming a human in the mortal realm will not remember his life while in the world.

Seeing Feng Shang in a daze, Yue Ming became worried. He immediately asked someone to call Si Ming so that he could question him about any events the maharani had experienced. Feng Shang was like someone who had gone through a long life and through many things, but those things were so heavy that they made his physique and mentality tired.

"What actually happened? Why did you get hurt until Si Ming had to send you to the mortal realm?" asked Yue Ming.

"There's something strange about the seal. When I tried to fix it, there was a surge of power turning around reflecting it," Feng Shang replied while trying to recall the events of that day.

At that moment, in Shansui Valley, he had clearly used his pure power to repair the broken seal. Somehow the wave of spiritual power from within the seal came and reflected its power. Feng Shang then tried to repair it back, then the wave came back. After trying many times, the seal was repaired but he was injured by the reflection of the wave.

"When the Demon King has been sealed for hundreds of thousands of years. Why did that happen?" Yue Ming added to his question.

"The Demon King was originally a true god. His strength was certainly immense as he also possessed the core strength of nature. Was there any movement from Shansui Valley during my sleep?"

Yue Ming shook his head. Not long after, Si Ming came along with a fairy servant who called out to him. The Fate Star Goddess smiled in relief when she saw that the maharani had already awakened, even though her state did not seem to be entirely good. Si Ming walked up to Feng Shang, then lowered his head in salute to him.

"Did you really send me to the mortal realm?" feng Shang asked Si Ming.

"Maharani was hurt so badly. Yue Ming urged me to heal you. I'm confused because your destiny isn't written in any fate book. Even after I sent you, the fate books I wrote for you were all destroyed. Could it be that Maharani has a premonition?"

"Of course."

"But, Empress, there's something strange about your destiny. After half a month, and the book of artificial destiny has been destroyed hundreds of times, I can finally write down your destiny and the book does not burn. As of now, I don't know the reason," Si Ming said.

"That's it. The most important thing now is that the Maharani has recovered and has returned. The fate book that the Goddess mentioned should be kept in a secret place to avoid the suspicion of the other gods," Yue Ming said. He does not want any further discussion because for him the most important maharani has returned.

"I've hidden her fate book somewhere. No immortal knows it but myself."

"I have to check the seal," Feng Shang said.

"But you just got up!" sergeant Yue Ming.

"The salvation of the Three Realms is more important."

Feng Shang then called out to his spiritual beast. His mount was a golden-coloured celestial phoenix, which was a rare spiritual animal. The animal was born along with the discovery of the true identity of Feng Shang. They then flew down through the ninth sky, then down into the third level sky, where the demon tribe was located.

Seeing the Celestial Empress flashed above their skies, the demon tribe saluted. Feng Shang then continued his journey all the way to Shansui Valley, the valley where the Demon King was sealed. A thick spiritual aura enveloped the valley. Surrounding it was barren, there were only trees molten and the bones of dead spiritual animals.

Feng Shang stepped foot, walking the barren land towards a place filled with formations. Right where he was standing at that moment, Feng Shang saw a god standing staring at the entrance to the cave where the Demon King was sealed. From his stature and aura, that god did not seem to be an ordinary mountain god. Feng Shang saw a trace of great divinity, as well as a golden lotus on his forehead that he seemed to have seen.

"Who are you?" ask Feng Shang. The god then looked. There was a familiar atmosphere felt when their eyes met. Too bad, Feng Shang did not remember that he had known her.

"I just wanted to ask you. Who're you?"

"That's not important. What are you doing here?"

"What does this have to do with you?"

"This is a forbidden land that no one can enter. Don't you even know the rules?" said Feng Shang. He was still the same as the old Feng Shang, cold and domineering.

"Then what about you? You also set foot here."

"Wherever I set foot, it has nothing to do with you!"

The god is tickling. Who is this goddess? Why does it feel like he knew her?

"The goddess seemed to be very alert. Are you afraid I'm freeing the Demon King?"

"Whatever your reason, if you dare to touch the formation, I will kill you!"

The god laughed. Then, in one blink of an eye he had already flown into space and left just like that. Feng Shang did not care about it, he checked the sealing formation to find out the circumstances. The formation is still strong and the seal is still intact. Strange, though before the seal was not this strong. There was another power that blended together with his strength.

Feng Shang stared at the sky, looking at the clouds marching. Could it be that the god had fixed it? If true, it meant that he was indeed no ordinary god. People who could repair these seals could be counted with fingers, and they were the great gods of the ancient god era and most had already evolved. The second person was the leaders of heaven, the Emperors and Heavenly Emperors.

He was curious, but useless because the god had already disappeared. Since the situation here was fine, he decided to return home to the Sky Palace. Unfortunately, the golden phoenix of his mount instead turned its way through the East Sea. Above the skies of the East Sea, Feng Shang's mood slowly changed. Why did he have to go through this bad place?

An idea crossed his mind. Feng Shang sprinkled out spiritual powder, then the East Sea suddenly churned. There was a huge wave coming, then sweeping away the uninhabited island that was in the middle. There was a loud noise from the East Sea. Feng Shang chuckled softly, then flew back to the ninth sky.

Who knew that the Sky Empress was a very ignorant person.
