The End of Hope

The End of Hope
29 Eps. Still Like you

Naya looked at a woman standing in front of her while clasping her hands. She is a girl with clothes and hairstyles that look like a man, Dinda. Smiling kindly, he said.

"I didn't expect to see you here. You're still the way you used to be, Nay!"

"You too, Din. is still a tomboy, isn't your husband angry, the same way you look, huh?" hearing Naya's words, the tomboyish girl burst into laughter.

"You don't know anything about me at all, do you? Ish, what kind of wife are you. Do you still like me?"

Now it was Naya who laughed and said,

"Of course I still like you. It's called my destiny now away from the city of Batu. How do you know everything about you?"

"I still don't have a husband. Because I'm your husband!" said Dinda with a ketus.

They were close friends at High School in their hometown. Naya moved since graduation, moving to the city of Rain because she joined her parents and she did not continue college. He immediately worked as a factory employee of a private company, where he met Rudian and then married.

Husband and wife calls that they did since school was because Dinda women who look like men. Initially because of his jokes teenage children at that time who nicknamed Dinda as the husband of all female friends in one class. Husband and wife calls are laughable and can make others misunderstand, but that's how they are.

"Oh, I'm sorry. Come to my house. I have to go home and cook dinner for my husband." take Naya to Dinda to take public transport together.

"really? Are you cheating now?" said Dinda scowled and brushed off the hand of Naya who was holding her hand.

"Isa. You're this. I'm not cheating on you. I'm just polygamy" replied Naya.

The two women laughed again. Naya looked at the cheap watch she was wearing. He really should go home. But chatting with old friends like this is a lot of fun. Who can refuse it?

"Okay, I'll take you home" said Dinda, holding Naya's hand towards the car park.

"Didn't you bring anything?"dinda asked Naya who had nothing in her hands. Hey, it's a mall, right, where people shop?

"Son, I was just washing my eyes." Suddenly Naya felt like a liar.

Dinda did not consider Naya serious, because there could be people who come to the mall just for sightseeing. He opened the car door for Naya. He has long been known as the son of people in his village. So it's not strange that now he has his own car.

"Why are you here?" asked Naya when she was sitting in Dinda's car, she was not at all surprised by Dinda who was very good at driving it. Because since they went to school, Dinda often brought her own car outside of school.

"I miss my mother again. Mother often moves around the city with her sister. My brother was very happy with his cooperation, did not want to nerusin father's company" said Dinda while driving his car at medium speed.

"So now your brother is here. You want to stay here a long time?"

"Ah, no. I'm going home tomorrow too. If I've been around for a long time, how do I work."

"Well, you must be a career woman" said spoiled Naya.

"Ah, just help dad in the company. So maids, not career women, you know?!"

"Eh, but in the company itself. You're the same boss."

"Ck! Not good, same dad. Ruled only.. How many children do you have now. He said married?"

Questions like this that Naya always heard when she found out that she was married. Actually a reasonable question, but it always makes Naya feel inferior, and embarrassed. The title of barren woman seems attached to her.

"Yet. I don't have any children yet" Naya said coldly.

"Ck. Mendinglah has no children... Than not having a husband!" Dinda chimed in lightly, making Naya not feel sad

'Yeah too. There are many people out there whose lives are harder than mine. Alhamdulillah's'

Naya actually wants to ask why Dinda is not married, she is not a woman who is less social until it is difficult to find the right man. Moreover, he is the descendant of people. But yes like that is the fate of the human child, who can guess the future forever will be a secret.

They continued chatting, after Naya made Dinda a cup of sweet tea. Occasionally Naya does activities in the kitchen while continuing to chat. The distance between the kitchen and the living room is not so far only limited to one wall.

"Hey, wife! When's your husband coming home? I'll know Aki yeah, I'll tease her, are you mad?"

"Kan, you're my husband now. So why be angry? This is what it's like to have two husbands" Naya said laughing loudly.

He thought maybe, Rudian is not going home yet, because he is with Yola. So he will enjoy time with Dinda and mark her, momentarily let go of his tiredness.

"Ih, it's called polyandry, it's forbidden in religion" said Dinda, pursing her lips.

"Ah, that's you know. Wait, soon my cooking is ripe." said Naya, there was a rest of the laughter in her lips.

Without realizing it, Rudian was already standing at the door with a jealous look because he saw a car parked in their yard.

"Who, you?" asked Rudian after he stood in the doorway. He looked at Dinda from behind who looked like a man.

As Naya and Dinda turned their heads, they saw Rudian carrying something in his hand and not a single smile on his lips.

"You, are you home?" said Naya who immediately greeted Rudian by kissing the back of her hand.

"This is your husband, Nay?" dinda asked while looking at Rudian. He smiled kindly, looking at the figure of a pretty handsome man in neat clothes in front of him. The one who fits Naya.

"Yes. Nda, this is Naya's friend, Dinda" said Naya to introduce her husband.

Rudian nodded softly this time he smiled, he had thought that Naya was escorted by a man as a form of protest over her fate. Of course, all because of his mistake.

They shook hands for a while, before Naya let go of her husband's hand as she said,

"Not muhrim. Dinda is my friend, Nda. High School time." said Naya while getting a drink for Rudian.

Dinda sat back down and Naya went to the kitchen to finish her work. Magrib's time is coming soon. And he hasn't cleaned himself up.

Rudian also sat down before Dinda, intending to accompany the girl while waiting for Naya to finish cleaning the kitchen.

"I thought you were a boy, just now. I was almost jealous" Rudian said breaking the awkwardness. Dinda's style is really cute.

"Why is it so easy to be jealous. Just look." said Dinda as he sipped his tea, "Usually if a man does something behind his wife, he will be easily jealous of his wife, for thinking that his wife did the same as him." Says Dinda calmly.

Dind's sharp gaze was right in Rudian's eyes as if a sword was drawn in the look of his eyes. Actually when in the mall, Dinda had seen Rudian's actions with Yola, he only considered ordinary things, a husband and his wife. She did not expect Rudian to be Naya's husband. She thought Naya didn't know that her husband was cheating on her.

"What do you mean?" asked Rudian, he felt that Dinda had insinuated herself.

"I guess I mean clear. I knew you were with another woman, right? Hah, you think you great men can do that shit thing? Men are everywhere the same." said Dinda full of emphasis, he now sits as if judging someone.

Hearing Dinda's words, Rudian laughed. Then said,

"Tell it to Naya. Do you want to know his reaction?'

'Seethed. So arrogant of this guy. Naya, how can your husband be this kind of man?'

Among his friends and best friends, Dinda is closest to Naya. They often go alone when they are off school. He felt very sorry for Naya's fate.

"Husband..! It's my cooking. Do we eat now or do we want to pray maghrib first?"

"......???"
