"You know? All my life, I never wanted to go to the forest to hunt. Then, why would I painstakingly practice attacking a woodman whose existence is still considered a myth?"
Kai and Ten sighed many times. Already since then they have not stopped persuading Kyo, but their efforts are still in vain. Kyo still doesn't want to practice.
"Are you that scared of the woodman myth?" ask Kai.
Kyo shook his head, "I'm scared, but compared to the woodman myth, I'm much more afraid of the reality. What if the myth is true? How are they and their appearance? What if they're scary? What if they're terrible? What if I meet them? No. gabe. I will never go to the forest. The forest is the last place I'll probably be forced to go."
"But Kyo-"
"No! Please, don't continue!" Kyo quickly covered his face using both of his hands. He was crying sobbing.
Kai and Ten looked at each other. They had completely run out of ways to persuade Kyo. Especially to make Kyo cry like this, making them not have the heart.
Ten rubbed Kyo's shoulder, trying to calm her down. "I understand how much you fear, Kyo. But, have you never thought about taking your fears away by becoming stronger and more courageous against them?"
"I'm afraid to imagine what they look like, how can I face them?" Kyo was still crying.
Ten draws conclusions from Kyo's words. From what Ten understood was, Kyo was afraid of the terrifying shadow of the woodman he had created himself.
Patiently, Ten continued to reply, "Then, fight the fear as you imagine them. Think of them as just a joke that happens to be a myth. Let's just say they're just like us ordinary people. Think of us as training to make you bolder and stronger. To protect yourself when danger comes later, not as a reminder of your fear of them."
Kai was flabbergasted to hear a subtle explanation from Ten, it was not wrong for Zou to send Ten here. Overcoming things like this is indeed Ten experts, the soft heart among the five of them.
Kai nodded in favor of Ten. "Kyo, what Ten said is true. I just want to add to that, Uncle Ken is already willing to train us. This is a golden opportunity for us to be stronger, why waste it? It's also for you, I'm willing to come here twice, don't you appreciate it at all?" Kai issued his mainstay style, which is sulking at the end of his sentence, so that a lot of people were left with his request.
Kyo started to raise his face and wipe away the rest of his tears. Then he looked at Ten and Kai in turn. Right, the two of them were here for her, wouldn't it be a pity to let the two of them go home empty-handed when they had already tried so hard to persuade her?
Kyo slowly nodded. "Alright, I will no longer imagine how terrifying those who tormented me would be. I will also agree to practice for the sake of being strong. You have to remember! I agreed to practice not to attack them in the future, because I still would not set my foot in the forest," Kyo said still frowning as he looked away.
Kai and Ten who heard that were finally able to breathe with relief. Thankfully, spending a long time persuading Kyo did not end up in vain.
"Yes, Kyo. It's up to you not to go into the woods or anywhere. Because humans are also myths, so there is no need to attack them" said Kai.
"I don't believe in their existence. We want to practice to protect ourselves. Well now, let's head to my house, pity Zou and Hiro have been waiting for a long time," Ten asked as he pulled on Kai and Kyo's arms.
"Let's just them wait a long time, wrong itself pisses me off, huh," said Kai.
Ten laughed while Kyo raised his one eyebrow in surprise, not understanding.
"You guys have been a long time" complained Hiro. It was the first greeting they got so set foot in Ten's house.
"Sorry, making you wait a long time, Kyo is very difficult to persuade," said Ten feeling guilty.
Seeing the unsightly faces of Hiro and Zou, Kai laughed out loud. "Hahaha, it was your own fault that you guys were chastising me, karmic right, hahaha," Kai seemed to be very satisfied with the suffering experienced by the two of them.
Meanwhile, Hiro and Zou's faces were even uglier after being ridiculed by Kai. "It's all your fault, Kyo. It's hard to persuade, make us wait a long time and manage to make this ugly Kaitem insult us," Zou accuses the heartless Kyo.
"A-I," Kyo tried to explain, but he was confused as to what to say.
"What did you call me? Ugly kaitem? Hey frog prince smartass, mess up ya ya you!" Kai could not accept such a nickname at all.
"Indeed, is the reality that Kaitem is ugly?" Hiro is heating up.
Ten patted his own forehead. Seeing Kai and Hiro's quarrel had made his head dizzy, this is why Zou so follow along? Zou got tired of just being a spectator in every one of their fights?
Ten patted Kyo on the shoulder. "Kyo, try to get rid of them" said Ten who still saw the three of them.
"Me?" Kyo pointed at himself. "W-Can I?"
Ten nodded, "You can definitely, you said you want to be strong. Let's just try it."
Kyo looked at those who were still fighting, "Kai, Hiro, Zou stop!"
They only glanced at Kyo at a glance, then continued to fight. "Did I hear wrong? Looks like the reason we had a fight was you, Kyo. Do you want to fight with us?" ask Hiro casually.
What kind of offer is that? When this is the case, inevitably Ten himself who intervened to overcome. "Alright, you guys. So no training? Otherwise, the door to get out of my house is wide open for those of you who still want to continue fighting," Ten made a style as if to drive them away.
At once their quarrel stopped and no one spoke. Seeing that Ten smiled with satisfaction. "Wait moreover? Let's practice now."
Ten's friends immediately cheered excitedly, as if forgetting what had just happened between them. "Ten," called Kyo when Kai, Hiro and Zou had gone to the place where Ten's father had placed the wooden man statue.
Ten looked, "Why?"
"I.., it seems useless. Divorcing them just can't, do I deserve to practice and be strong?" it seemed like Ten understood one more thing, Kyo besides being a coward, was also very inferior.
Ten pulled a side of Kyo's hand and held it, "Why is it inappropriate? Everyone has the right to practice to become stronger, whether the person is weak at first, or feels not brave. When we have the determination to become stronger, we have to support it, not drop it."
Kyo smiled, somehow Ten's words always managed to give him motivation. Although Ten was younger than the four of them, his wise and gentle nature completely surpassed them. Perhaps because of Ken and Fei's excellent nature it was inherited by their rented son.
Ken suddenly emerged from a room and called Ten and his friends, "Are you ready to practice?"
Ten immediately pulled Kyo's hand toward the place where Dad and his other friends were gathered. "We're ready, Dad," Ten replied.
Ken nodded, "Good."
"So I've prepared wooden swords for you to practice with, too" continued Ken, handing out wooden swords one by one to the five children in front of him.
"Uncle Ken, so the first exercise will start from using the sword?" hiro asked curiously while receiving the wooden sword in his hand.
"Yes, why?"
"I thought the first practice would start from martial arts first" Hiro replied.
Ken laughed at Hiro's words. "It should be like that. But because this was already near noon, Uncle's time was not much because he had to leave to hunt. So today Uncle will teach you the basic sword techniques first" Ken explained.
"Are you not afraid of the woodman myth?" kai asked this.
Ken again laughed amusedly, "Why fear? Isn't that all myth?"
Ken's words were immediately taken in by everyone present.
After all received the wooden sword in each hand, Ken firmly said, "The first day's training, officially begins!"
