The Destined Seeker's

The Destined Seeker's
CHAPTER 3: Magazines and Mysterious People

Luna paddled her bike leisurely on the side of the road. Sometimes he greeted people who met him. Even though it was still noon he was still enthusiastic in going to work.

He sometimes laughs at himself given the behavior of the people here. They are all really diverse.

People who are settled and often in this neighborhood such as street traders, people who hang out, and postmen already know Luna.

They are all very friendly. Sometimes the food vendors here give some of their food that is still there for Luna. People who live and like to gather are also kind to him.

Another case in society that is just passing through. Many of them are friendly and often reply to greetings. But there are only Luna greeting, just silence even acting jutek and reply Luna with disrespect.

But that's how it is. The diversity here is what makes Luna feel happy. By just greeting them Luna can know the nature of their attitude towards Luna who is indeed nobody.

Luna slowed down her bike and stopped right at the seller's and magazine's printing house. He parked his bike near the door and in line with the other vehicles.

Today Luna plans to publish the magazine she created. He opened the door and the sound of the door bells rang out.

The room is quite big. The room was used as a place to enter and welcome guests. There is a medium-sized counter located on the left side of the room. In front of him was a sofa and several small seats. There is a ladder on the right side of the end to the second floor. There is one door in the middle, one next to the counter, and the other on the right side of the stairs.

“Excuse me” Luna put her foot inside.

“Eh, hi Luna” soft voice greet Luna. The owner of the voice was a girl of almost the same age as Luna. He was short and wore glasses. Her hair is white and silky. He is very good at computers and technology. Name's Lis. “You filed a magazine huh?”

“Iya Lis's. Mr Pear where ya?” Mr. Pear is a manager and a person who works in the daily magazine publishing section.

“Oh he's in his room. Time is empty again. I need to call?”

“No need. Thank you”

“Good. Good luck” Lis gave her thumbs up. Encourage.

Luna smiled. “Ya thanks. First yes Lis” Luna pampit and headed to the second floor, the location of Mr. Pear's room is located. He climbed the stairs and walked to the room on the right.

He opened the door slowly. It looks like Mr. Pear's room is a mess. There are magazines everywhere. These scattered magazines are just the frame. Which means that it just wants to be submitted and published.

After seeing clearly Luna was surprised to learn this magazine was no stranger to her. This is a magazine he created and submitted a few days ago.

Luna looked at Mr Pear's face. He was sitting in his chair and drinking coffee.

“Mr Pear-“

“Eit eit eit” Mr Pear raised his hand. A sign to Luna to stop her speech. “Yes I know you're confused. You've seen your results and your progress, right?”

“But why?” Luna wants to protest. He knew his magazine was down.

“Stop ngawur Luna. You must want to submit a magazine like that again right?” ask Mr. Pear. Well, you know what he wrote so he refused. “If you write a magazine like that who will buy it and read it? I mean, who wants to read the fantasy news about Action and blah-blah-blah and blah? Could-can be in vain publishing”

“But Mr Pear-“

“Eit, that's enough. I rejected the magazine you were going to submit. Also everything you submitted yesterday-yesterday”

“Master Pear. I'm trying to convince you and the others to believe that Action is still alive. They just haven't shown up because no one else believes they”

“Then, after seeing me not believing in your delusion, you think others will believe?” Mr. Pear raised one eyebrow.

“All your beliefs are of no use Luna. And everything you pour in your magazine is useless, too. No one will believe. How hard you do it.

Luna remained silent. Then I want to talk again.

“But-“

“I said enough. Take these weird magazines. Get out of my room immediately. I want to work quietly”

Luna then fell silent again. He then took out a magazine that might amount to ten of that kind. He picked up all that was scattered on the floor and was about to open the door.

“The magazine you're going to sell ask Lis” Mr Pear said without even turning his head.

Luna continued her path to get out. He closed the door and went down the stairs. He came down with a pouting face. And it was looked at by Lis.

At first he was astonished. But after looking at the pile of magazines held by Luna that none other than open is her own magazine, she then knows what happened. It's so sorry Luna. He must have worked hard in making all those magazines. He could not bear to see it.

Lis knew Luna's love and belief in Action. Indeed, besides her father and mother Luna, Lis was the one who believed in it. Lis also daily noticed Luna who was trying to convince many people about it.

In Lis vision, Luna was a determined person and never gave up. He was repeatedly considered strange and many people did not believe it because they thought Action still existed, but he remained enthusiastic in convincing these people. He has been repeatedly exposed to reality, but he remains true to his beliefs.

To Lis, Luna was the most determined person. Once he pursues something, he will continue to pursue it. And if he can't get it yet, he'll keep trying. His efforts are hard. His spirit is burning.

Because of this Lis believed in his beliefs.

But at this moment, Lis was sad to see Luna. His spirit will be extinguished. This girl was the same age as him, but she was more than him.

“Luna..” Lis wanted to react when Luna instantly stopped in front of him. Or in front of the counter.

“Lis.... I'm not giving up. Maybe no one believes it at the moment. But there will surely be. That's PAST” said Luna full of determination.

Lis smiled. It turned out to be a wrong estimate. Luna is Luna. His spirit is a burning fire and will not be extinguished. There was so much he didn't know about this woman. Very special woman.

“Semangat Luna's. You definitely can. I'll help you!”

“Iya, it's inside take”

Luna ran to the side door of the counter. He immediately took two ties of the magazine stack. He then connected the two to the back of his bike. He climbed up and began to pedal slowly.

“Lis!! First yes!!” shouted Luna. He immediately went away and started selling magazines.

Lis just smiled looking at him. He can only shout “Iya!!” with a loud voice hoping that Luna could still hear his answer it was because she seemed to have gone very far.

***

The clock shows at 05:00. Luna had already circled the city and was offering people her magazine. But the results are very nil. Only two or three were sold. They also buy at the bid price.

Luna stopped for a while near the city park. He got off his bike and parked it near a wooden seat near the park. He then sat on the seat while wiping the sweat that soaked his body.

He's very tired. How not he almost went around the city and circled a lot of blocks just to sell magazines and absolutely no one wanted to buy them. Everything seems to be in vain.

Usually at this hour, Luna should stop working and go home. Then the magazine was very good. Maybe the magazine didn't sell all. But the magazine was bought a lot.

But not today. It's weird, it's not usually like this. He sold a few magazines. He did not dare to stop before his goods ran out.

Luna looked at the pile of magazines.

These magazines are news magazines. It is about the daily news that happens. Some of them are also women's magazines. That contains all sorts of beauty and clothing or anything related to women.

Only the women's magazines sell. News magazines absolutely nobody buys these days. After all, who else will read a news magazine with all the technology? The highly developed human resources here give birth to many advanced tools. Internet too. With the help of that one just needs to open a browser for the latest news updates. No need to buy a magazine.

But women's magazines are somewhat sold because most are purchased by salon stores. Maybe the favorite to read magazines while singing is still there.

“Huh. Why doesn't anyone buy anyway?” pissed Luna. “What if Mr Pear knows this? Huaa I will definitely be scolded againii”

Then he looked around. Look back at the routine of the people here. These hours the Broside City office people have gone home. This is why sometimes the city experiences traffic jam in solid hours. That is in the morning when the crowds go to school and work and in the afternoon.

But this time everything's fine. There was no traffic jams, boisterous cries of anger, and the sound of car horns constantly screeching. Not to mention the whistle of the stress police on duty.

Today is so different.

Suddenly Luna's eyes caught something. He saw a grandfather who was very old. Maybe he was in his 70s. Grandpa was sitting on the bench of the bus stop.

Grandpa was wearing white clothes. He looks like a priest. Like a very knowledgeable person. He has long hair. And his eyebrows are pretty thick. His eyes could not be seen from a distance.

For some reason out of so many people, he was the one who attracted Luna's attention the most. Grandpa just stared straight ahead. I don't know what he's doing. Luna kept watching him. This figure was like a stranger to him. He felt he had seen it. Somewhere. But somehow Luna forgot about it.

One minute, two minutes, three minutes. He kept looking ahead.

It seems that he thought of something instead of seeing or doing something.

Luna said in her heart. This grandfather did seem engrossed in his own thoughts. His head was full of a troubled thought. It looked with its face full of stress and just looking ahead.

Luna's eyes then caught something again. This time someone was walking. He wears a black shirt. Starting from shoes, pants, clothes, and jackets that he wears. Not to forget, he also wears sunglasses. This guy is a tall guy. He's less than 30.

How strange. Luna is a traveling magazine seller who is often in this park. He often rests here when tired of traveling to sell. The park is quite crowded because it is close to the town square. Luna chose to sell here. He knows the taste of the people here. The clothes of some people here follow the trends of today. Many are fashionable with all models of clothes. They sometimes also combine many colors that seem bright.

But these two guys... Her appearance is very strange. And it was rare for Luna to see people dressed like that

One dressed in white and one in black. One was dressed as it was centuries ago and one was dressed very modern but very, very simple.

Luna thought hard and tried to remember if she had ever met the two of them. Maybe he was familiar with the white-clothed grandfather. But it seemed like Luna had indeed never met this black-clothed man.

Luna then looked at the man who was walking while carrying a black bag. He kept looking at her who was getting further and further away.

He then turned back to look at the old man but....

As he turned his head, his eyes poked with the passing bus. But the bus did not stop. He kept on going. And when the bus disappeared from Luna's sight, the grandfather was gone.

Luna was shocked and stood up.

Where's that grandpa?

Luna wiggling. Look around to see if Grandpa is still here. But the result is nil. Grandpa didn't exist at all.

Again, this is all very strange. How can a bus not stop when there are people at the bus stop? Even if the old man had left before the bus came, he should still be around. It was impossible for the grandfather to leave very quickly, the path was slow and even he used a cane to walk.

Luna then turned her head again to the figure of the man dressed in black. This time Luna could still see her figure stopping in the middle of the sidewalk. He was looking at his phone screen.

But Luna could not see her face covered in a black hat. He then aims to approach her.

Suddenly someone pushed him from behind. His unprepared body immediately fell on his bike which was right in front of him. His bike fell and all his magazines fell too because of the bond on the bike.

Luna was on her bike. Luna whimpered in pain. He opened his eyes that had been closed. Then a female voice sounded.

“Don't plongo-plongo on the way! Disturbing others know not?!”
