...HAPPY READING...
No kidding, the entire streets of the capital city are very sparkling because they are decorated with lights along the way. The merchants opened the stalls, there were operas served on the town square, music games, dancers, and some more entertainment. The people of Retkan were obviously very happy, so far there were no large-scale celebrations in the capital let alone all these costs borne by the palace.
However, the atmosphere of the night was only cheerful outside. In the palace in the magnificent basement, the nobles showed great tension, their necks sore when they had to look up to look at Rahid accompanied by Argio and Eslan standing on the second floor.
Rahid has just announced that he is the new ruler of Retkan. Raising the sword once covered in the blood of his own family, Rahid waged a small war among the nobles, asking nobles who did not like his leadership to raise their hands so that he would quickly exterminate also warned that dissidents would be crushed to the root.
Marquess Isra, Abian, then clapped to break the silence while Rahid had finished the words. Duke Agneto frowned, wondering why Abian's attitude had changed. On the other hand, Rahid met Abian a few days ago and said that he would protect Israel from that moment until his life spanned the family of Israel could be his confidant to help in his plans later on.
The mood starts soft. The nobles spread out and enjoyed the banquet while chatting then some of them moved away from the central area to let some couples dance there, following the music that began to be played.
"I'm so happy to see His Majesty on top."
Rahid turned his eyes to Irian after joining the ground floor. Suddenly Irian approached her with Duke Agneto, of course, attention fell on them. Given that Irian had a great chance of becoming queen later on.
"Consider the feast, Lady Irian." The jaw then passed, so that whispers began to sound discordant in Irian's ear.
"Wait for Your Majesty!"
Iria immediately turned her head to make Rahid stop and looked at Irian behind. "What's the Lady?"
"Can I dance one piece of music with Your Majesty?"
Irian's face was draped in a pink tinge while Duke Agneto was silent behind her daughter with a cold expression however, Duke Agneto's gaze was not on Irian but on Gaia who was accompanying the family. Rahid's expression changed, now that he knew why Duke Agneto suddenly so blatantly looked at Gaia besides, he now knew why, it began to sound whispered that Gaia was only the lady-in-waiting of a tyrant and the possibility of successors of the Isra family being replaced with Wysia.
"How dare they insult my lady." Rahid muttered, his eyes looking to tear one by one the mouth of the noble who called Gaia's name.
"Sorry, Your Majesty?" Irian was confused when he did not clearly hear Rahid's words.
"Sorry, Lady Irian, but I'm not good at dancing yet." Rahid smiled forcefully and approached the family of Israel.
Rahid's departure restores Duke Agneto's consciousness to Irian. The wrinkled face of the middle-aged man furrowed resolutely and vilely looking at how dare Rahid humiliate Irian at a celebration of this magnitude.
"It's okay, son. Dance with Dad." Duke Agneto smiled as he reached out to Irian.
"Dad ... " Tears of irian are already in the eye, ready to fall at any time.
"Crying will only embarrass us. Remember you are an Agneto, raise your head high and show me who you are. After all, tonight is a happy day for the House of Israel." Duke Agneto put on a smile shrouded in bad habits.
Wysia blinked and then elbowed her brother's arm. "Sister, Your Majesty is here" he whispered.
Gaia followed the direction of Wysia's view. Three days before the party, Rahid gives her a day off so that they don't meet and it looks like Rahid isn't sleeping well anymore. Since Gaia first applied the blessing before going to bed, Rahid always called every night just to receive the blessing so since then Gaia would give the blessing twice a day to the man, she said, it was unfair because it was not included in the agreement but, after knowing from his father Rahid said he wanted to protect the family of Israel with all his life, Gaia could not argue anything anymore.
"It's an honor to see you this close, Your Majesty." Hare, Gaia's mother welcomed Rahid's presence with two men at the tyrant's side.
"Me too, Marchioness." Rahid answered.
Gaia was amazed, it turns out Rahid can be so polite to the noble family even though it was clearly rude to Duke Agneto and Irian. Well, who cares anyway because Rahid is a Tyrant.
"Do you want to say something?" Abian moved closer.
Not answering, Rahid's eyes moved to Hare's side, where Gaia was standing with Wysia. Gaia immediately turned her face and dropped her attention in any direction. However, Rahid just grinned thinly at the response.
"Actually I haven't had a blessing since these three days" I Rahid
"What do you mean?" Abian and Hare frowned while Argio and Eslan just cleared their throat awkwardly while observing the still faithful Gaia heard nothing.
"Hah~ does the second party want to break the promise here?" swaggering and ignorant smile Rahid.
"Looks like His Majesty is talking to you, son." Hare pinching Gaia's waist.
Gaia grimaced a little then looked at Rahid with a forced smile. "Is it true, Your Majesty?"
Rahid nods his head and then points his index finger at the forehead. "Quick do it three times."
"W-what? Inhere? You're gil—hmph!"
Wysia smiled awkwardly while silencing her brother's mouth. "It looks like my brother is a little drunk, Your Majesty."
The jaw folds the hands on the chest. "Had to be so red, like he was about to explode" he sneered.
Gaia resisted the decision and then put away Wysia's hand.
"Let's do it on the balcony." Gaia glanced at one of the balconies away from the party room.
"I'd rather be here."
"Sorry, Sir Argio, Sir Eslan. Please accompany my family for a moment."
Gaia immediately grabbed Rahid's hand, taking the tan-skinned man to the balcony. Rahid's eyes did not blink looking at the pale little hand that could not swallow his big hand and it looked very funny.
"Now we can do it." Gaia exhaled after closing the balcony door, but before it closed tightly, Gaia could see how big the eyes of the family and the tyrant's two aides were as she led Rahid away without the master's permission.
"Is three too many?" Rahid leaning on the balcony railing.
"Yes." Yeah." Gaia answered quickly.
"Then do it once."
Gaia came closer with sparkling eyes. Then it must be very fast and he can end time with Rahid.
"Not on the forehead, but here." Rahid reached out to Gaia's jaw while touching the woman's lips using her thumb.
"Huh? You're really not sane, are you? Isn't this too bad?" Gaia links aliases while tightening the jaw of the face.
Rahid laughed softly while keeping his hands away from Gaia's jaw. "I'm just kidding."
"What if I agree to your joke?" Gaia was still grumbling in annoyance.
"Of course I take it with my chest."
"Three times on the forehead," Gaia broke off while catching Rahid's jaw.
For some reason, Rahid smiled more and more, the typical smile of teenagers who get pleasure, that's what Gaia thought. Then Gaia landed a light kiss on the forehead, letting her holy power encircle Rahid's body but, a strange aura disturbed Gaia's concentration.
In a flash, Gaia's eyes opened and looked far behind Rahid's head. A man dressed as an assassin hid behind one of the pillars in the tower building that was parallel to the balcony. The man pulls the busuur and throws an arrow right behind Rahid's head. Gaia clearly saw the tip of the arrow's eyes shrouded in a pitch-black aura, it was a curse!
"Raid!"
Gaia exclaimed as she twisted Rahid's body and hugged her tightly, it was inevitable as her speed was aided by black magic. Gaia should have let Rahid duck, but there was something behind her back, it was some kind of transparent wall.
Gaia's unilateral actions make Rahid very surprised plus when looking far ahead, an arrow has hit Gaia's back. There was no longer a sentence slid from Gaia's lips but rather blood gushing thick blood that stained her clothes.
"If anything happens to me, it's not your fault. Please don't blame yourself." That was Gaia's last sentence before falling unconscious.
