Houses lined beautifully on the side of the airy road in the capital, many people passed by there ranging from commoners to nobles. It was easy to tell which nobles and commoners were.

If it was nobles, they were wearing beautiful dresses that looked luxurious accompanied by a servant by her side, holding umbrellas to avoid the hot sun and then the streets are also crossed by sais who drag luxury horse carriages belonging to nobles or horse carriages for public transportation.

Gaia smiled brightly at all these sights. Gaia was only wearing a simple dress typical of ordinary people while carrying her hair, sneaking in the street side hustle while enjoying the bread purchased at one of the bakeries.

Before leaving for the north, Gaia asked Rahid for permission to go out to buy something. Although heavy heart gave permission, eventually Gaia could get the right to go out.

"Welcome to our special hardware store!"

The thick-moustached man with a stocky stomach smiled widely, revealing large teeth that were arranged rather rarely. As usual, Gaia was always looking for an inconspicuous shop, located in the back alleys inhabited only by some thugs or beggars.

Not without reason, because special things are always hidden and difficult to find in public spaces. Gaia commented with a smile, this tool shop had rare and luxurious items, most of them were genuine items and most of the items in the store were brought to the auction place.

"Give me the best sword you have." Gaia took out a bag of gems on top of the bar right in front of the fat man.

The large beige robe that Gaia was wearing seemed to flutter as a bag of jewel skin was placed, so one of the young men hiding behind the brown robe glanced at her a little followed by a faint smile.

"It seems we're a match, yes."

Gaia blinked and turned to the chair in the corner of the shop that was occupied by her dance partner at Irian's party yesterday.

"Haetric?"

"Hi." Haetric waved while tilting his head.

"I'll bring you the best in front, Miss." The store owner then left, entering the booth to find the best quality goods.

While Gaia just nodded her head while pulling a chair to sit near the pale-skinned man. For an instant, Haetric was flabbergasted to find someone approaching him first as he was about to speak.

"What are you doing here?" ask Gaia.

"Searching for something like you. I can't believe a noble lady like you is good at picking shops."

Gaia put on a smile as if proud of herself even though she tried to show a facial look not too happy praise. "I know some famous place that always hides in the dark."

"Here's the stuff."

One long wooden crate containing a white sword with sapphire gems in the handle of the sword was presented beautifully before Gaia's eyes.

"Well, isn't that Vitagya's sword" Haetric commented.

"you know too? This is the sword that the first saintess in Retkan used when he first killed the witch leader." Gaia explained as she grabbed the sword, not the pride that was emanating in her eyes but a deep disappointment and that made Haetric wonder.

"Well, isn't that an incredible sword. If you have it, isn't that a pride?"

Based on the history that Gaia knew, this sword was indeed made specifically to kill the strongest magician then given to the saintess who was blessed with holy power. It is from there that the witch hunt ends with the lost saintess, but in all the books it is explained how terrible and bad the witch's behavior is that there is no choice but to eliminate them, but is it really so? The one who writes history is the winner and the winner is the one who hates witches.

Gaia then put the scabbard around her waist, inserted the sword and caught Haetric's unsettling eyes pointing at her sword.

"Your eyes are the opposite of that compliment."

Gaia's apology made Haetric aware. He forgot to control his emotions because he saw how the object forged to kill his ancestors was in the hands of the woman who would become his greatest enemy in destroying Retkan.

"Ah, yes, can you give me another one? Some kind of jewelry," Gaia's pinta.

With pleasure the store owner ran cheerfully and brought a series of objects that amaze the view. Haetric just kept quiet and noticed what Gaia was doing again, but his eyes slightly widened as Gaia smiled at him while pointing at a bracelet crowded with amethyst gemstone grains.

"It suits you perfectly." Gaia grabbed the bracelet and asked for permission for Haetric to extend one of her hands.

Amethyst is said to be a protective talisman, they have a magnificent color and became the longing of kings in ancient times. Gaia chose one object as a form of apology because while dancing at that time had stepped on Haetric's feet many times.

"Why did you give this to me?" Haetric extended a right hand to Gaia.

"Take this as a gift of our friendship. I think Amethyst suits you because sometimes at certain times your eyes seem to emit a purplish glow."

Haetric was shocked and lulled simultaneously. In his life, only this time received a gift plus the giver smiled satisfied after pairing the gift on his right wrist. On the other hand, he was shocked because Gaia caught the oddity in his eyes. All witches had purple eyeballs, so for now Haetric covered that with magic.

"That's so pretty."

Gaia stood up and walked out, but before that Haetric caught Gaia's hand, making her stop and turn her head.

"Eh?"

Gaia flinched, just as she turned her head, Haetric immediately put on a ruby-eyed necklace, a perfectly shiny red hue, it was truly beautiful.

"Crack that thing if you're in danger." Haetric smiled after the object stuck in Gaia's neck.

Gaia was convinced that this jewelry was not in the line of jewelry the shop owner showed.

"That's a jewel embedded in the heart of a dragon, it's really hard to get so I hope you use it well." Haetric smiled then led Gaia to come out and stop looking at the stone with admiration.

"It's not even comparable to the amethyst I gave you. Aren't you being too generous?"

"Didn't you say it was our friendship gift? Then I should give you something too."

The Ruby that came from the dragon heart had immunity to all sorts of magic besides it could be used as a summoning and shield when in danger. Gaia really couldn't guess what kind of way Haetric thought. The mysterious man whom he did not even know what kind of expression was shown behind the mask.

"If we get closer, will you show me your face?"

Gaia immediately shut up, unconsciously she said things that went too far but Haetric narrowed his eyes, a sign of smiling. Then the man's hand slipped under Gaia's jaw.

"If you show it to you, I'm not sure I can just let you go."
