Chapter 25 "Controversy and Propaganda"

After the departure of The Controller, Strega Cagna and Vedova Distruttore began to argue over their previous meetings.

"So you will leave this place" Vedova said.

"Of course, after all I was only assigned to replace the previous chairman of the Researcher association" Strega said.

"Thank God then, it means that my chances of becoming the sole king of this region are getting bigger and bigger" Vedova said.

"It's up to you, then what about your spies, not that you already know the location of those unemployed people" Strega said.

"Well, I already know, if only The Controller hadn't come, of course the unemployed people had me sorted out" Vedova said.

After all these conversations, Strega then went to the Researcher association to prepare for the attack, while Vedova returned to the Shield association to do something about the people who were gathering there.

In Himaya area precisely in district 1, a fairly crowded community is gathering in front of the Shield association building. The people who gathered were not only from district 1, the people from district 2 and district 3 also joined.

What those people are doing is demanding that the Shield association quickly address food problems that have been getting worse over the past week.

"I heard that all these problems were caused by a group of people known as the liberation army"

"That's absolutely right, all this because the people from the liberation force had incited the workers in the outer district"

"The workers in the outer district were like humans without a Soul System alone, they were easily fooled"

"Well, we have to sue Mr. Vedova to punish them all"

The controversial conversation took place among the people who inhabit the inner district of Himaya.

People who live in inner districts or 1,2 and 3 districts. They are the people referred to in the upper middle class society and they assume, if the people who live in the outer districts or districts 4 through 9 are only workers who do not need to be considered properly.

All of these people also had Soul Systems, but the classes in their Soul Systems were mostly Academic classes, Craftsman Classes, Entrepreneur Classes and various other elite classes.

Amidst the commotion of their thinking, Vedova's voice was then heard and it made the situation in the place become silent.

"For the people of the inner district, I'm Vedova Distruttore apologizing for the non-dress that happened in the last few weeks" said Vedova whose voice can be heard through loudspeakers installed throughout the inner district.

"For those of you who are taking action in front of the Shield association, I hope you can return to your respective homes" Vedova said.

After these words, the voices of the people began to sound in front of the Shield association building. What they were talking about slightly offended Vedova, with some of the voices having mentioned that the three Associations had failed to control the people who were in the outer districts.

Vedova who was standing on the balcony of the Shield association building then responded to the discordant voices.

"I and the two heads of the Association of Researchers and Liberation have found the hideout of the liberation forces and we will take action against them as soon as possible" Vedova said.

Hearing the Vedova's delivery of the gathered people then became very excited, there were cries of some who also wanted to help in cracking down on the liberation forces.

After all that, Vedova finally re-entered the Shield association building and the people gathered there slowly started to return home.

The sun that began to show its light, looks so beautiful in district 4 where the location of the hiding of the liberation forces is located.

Zhipheng who had previously gone to the scene of the fight between Nicholas and Vedova had returned and there he only saw traces of blood that had dried up without a body.

According to Zhipheng Nicholas' body was most likely eaten by monsters or wild animals, Daria who heard the information felt very guilty and asked permission to go out.

"What information is that" asked Hendry.

Zhipheng later explained about the propaganda made by the people of the association, saying that if the chaos in Himaya was caused by the liberation forces.

Where Brain was standing guard outside the gate of district 4, he saw Daria coming out of the gate. Brain then greeted Daria and of course Daria who heard the greeting also replied.

"What are you doing here" asked Brain.

"I want to find a monster to relieve stress" Daria replied.

Knowing that, Daria who had looked stressed became more and more stressed.The look of her face was filled with regret and it made Brain remember his own experience of losing some of his close friends.

Hearing that, Daria who was drifting in negative thoughts slowly changed and yes then approached Brain to start a conversation.

"I don't think about Nicholas' sacrifice, but I think that my presence in the liberation army is just a burden" Daria said.

"Don't think like that, basically humans are indeed weak beings, even though we already have a Soul System, we are still only humans who need a process to develop" said Brain.

Hearing that Daria looked slightly smiling and she felt her heart start to calm down again. Daria then began to observe Brain clandestinely and thought Brain looked very mature.

"Hey Brain, if I may know how old you are now" asked Daria.

"I think 19 years old" Brain replied

Hearing that answer, Daria laughed softly and it made Brain wonder.

"Our money is far enough, if it weren't too far away, I think the story would be different" Daria said.

Hearing that Brain was just confused, he did not understand the purpose of Daria and suddenly Simi the System gave information.
